In my sixty plus years, until I was referred to Dr Potts, here is a summary of my lifetime interaction with dentists: gruff old geezers far more concerned with keeping their schedule than they were of my welfare as a patient, reluctant to upgrade their office technology because they didn’t want to spend their vacation-in-the-south-of-France money, resistant to new techniques because it was too much trouble to learn them and train everybody (hey, it was good enough for the Eisenhower administration!!), and office staff members who specialized in frowning, giving lectures, berating and griping. But now, I happily go to my great dentist’s office because it is easy, pleasant, and I know that Dr Potts and every person in the office is amazingly well educated on the very best practice techniques and there is NO pain. I continue to be impressed with every visit with the quality of care, newest technology, and the super smart and fun techs, assistants, and office staff. Over the last few years as we embarked on our program to replace my decades-old giant leaky and cracked metal fillings, I’ve never once left his office less than overjoyed to have found them and my dental health is exponentially better than it ever has been.

The office is so modern and clean. Dr. Potts has the latest technology. The hygienist Holly is so warm, funny but also smart and knowledgeable in making sure I am equipped with all the information I need to take care of my teeth for a very long time. I called the afternoon before my new patient appointment with severe pain in a tooth that had a relatively new crown by another local dentist. Immediately, his front desk got me in and went to work getting my records and X-rays. The staff were all warm and eager to help. It took only a few minutes to determine that my pain was coming from excessive cement used on my crown. My gums were full of cement that went clear to the root in one spot. Dr. Potts said the cement needed to come out but I would have to be numbed to do it. His assistant asked if they had time to do it that day. His response was”we need to make time.” I have always been extremely afraid of the dentist. His sympathetic words made me an immediate convert. This dental office is amazing. I will refer anyone I know to them.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Potts for several years and have recommended his practice to my friends and family. The office is very nice and the staff is very kind. When I sit in the chair for a cleaning I know that the tools used my the dental hygienists are state of the art and my teeth will get first rate treatment. Plus Dr. Potts has a “no pain” policy – they make every effort to eliminate any discomfort. I even get to choose the music channel as my teeth are cleaned. If I didn’t know any better I would think I was at a spa for my teeth. I can’t say enough about my dentist – he’s the best in Dallas.

I’ve been a patient at Dr. Potts office for about 7 years. Its a very nice office with the latest dental equipment. Dr. Potts is very trusting and caring about my teeth. He’s very thorough even if I’m there for a routine cleaning or getting treatment. He’ll provide me the best option for any treatment I’ve needed. He also has a wonderful staff that is personable and is always helpful. I’ve moved away from Dallas but I will make a few trips back annually to get my routine dental treatments done here. Going to the dentist is not on my list of favorite things to do but the office of Kevin J. Potts, DDS makes it such a comfortable experience. I’m greeted immediately by the friendly front desk staff as I step into the very clean, modern office and am escorted to the chair by the hygienist just as quickly. My routine cleanings are painless and, I daresay, even pleasant! If there’s a potential issue that requires the attention of a dentist, Dr. Potts will check my teeth and thoroughly explain the situation, treatment plan, answer any questions, etc. He makes sure the patient is always comfortable at every point of treatment, especially when it involves a surgical procedure. The entire office staff genuinely cares so much for patient comfort that the ladies at the front desk have even watched my baby when I had to bring her with me to my appointments! A high-tech, an accommodating staff, and an excellent dentist make me feel as if I’m simply visiting old friends and leaving with sparkling, healthy teeth!

Dr. Potts and his supporting staff are excellent. They are punctual, thorough, friendly, and professional. I cannot recommend them enough. They are also very honest. On my most recent visit, Dr. Potts notice an area that looked as if a cavity was threatening to form. He could have instead used that opportunity to say it was an actual cavity (and thus the subsequent fee to fix it), but he did not and instead just said well keep an eye on it

Dr.Potts is hands down the best! I have four implants and one of them came loose. My original dentist had retired and I had also move states. I went to three other dentists to have them check out the wiggly implant all three had the same solution which was break the crown and make a new own which costs thousands of dollars. Dr. Potts is an out of the box thinker and that’s what I appreciate most about him. He had the idea to drill behind the implanted tooth since it’s a front tooth and see if he could just tighten the implant from the back and then patch it up like you would a cavity. It worked!!! No hassle! A fraction of the cost and I got to keep the original tooth which matched the other front implant! He is so kind and patient! He makes you feel like instant family and I completely trust him. My entire family now sees him 🙂 Thank you so much Dr. Potts!

When Dr. Potts became my dentist, his team recommended that I visit their office every three months for treatment of periodontal disease. I flossed daily, but apparently, I had been doing it incorrectly. Even with being taught on how to properly floss, the issue did not improve. After a few visits, his team recommended that I use brushpicks, in addition to standard flossing. After doing so and with continued frequent visits, my gums have started to become healthier. With the outside-the-box thinking with the brushpicks, I am now on the six month cleaning schedule and my gums are the healthiest they have been in years. Thank you, Dr. Potts and his team, for helping me regain my dental health.

This is an update to my previous review below–I had several of my old fillings replaced with Dr. Potts today and I couldn’t be happier. They really were gentle and caring through the whole procedure, and I left with completely restored teeth. The whole staff really treated me like a friend or sister. I can’t recommend them enough. Thanks Dr. Potts! I went to Dr. Potts based on a referral from a friend. I am 43 and have never really had a regular dentist throughout my adult years, due to moving around and just not establishing a regular dental routine for myself. I wanted to change that and go to someone I feel had good experience, great referrals, but also has longevity for getting into a good long term routine. A lot of dentists in Dallas are nearing retirement or pretty green, Kevin is absolutely a perfect mix of experience, but also a modern approach. He’s such a compassionate, talented dentist. The staff is wonderful, the office is extremely comfortable and I felt great after my X-rays, screenings and cleaning, Holly is awesome. The ladies up front are always a delight and easy to work with for scheduling. They just make it easy for me to establish dental care as more of a routine and help me not neglect my health. I was sure I would have a million things wrong after not having gone to the dentist in a while, but surprisingly things are in good shape–soon to be much better!
