I have no words to express my gratitude for Dr. Susan. She has been a blessing in my life. Growing up I had the worst experience with dentists so I grew up with this fear of them. So now that I have children of my own I was determined to find a reliable, sweet, patient and competent dentist for them. When I came across Dr. Susan here on Yelp and read all the great reviews I immediately took my kids in. It was the best thing I have every done. They have been going to her ever since. My kids love going to the dentist. I cant even tell them that its time for there dental check up and cleaning without them hounding me on a daily basis, “did you make our appointment, did you already call, when are we going?”. Some people say that it may be due to the fact that they haven’t had any dental work done other then cleaning. Well my 8 year old had a few cavities when I first took her to see Dr. Susan and even after a few fillings and some extractions of her baby teeth she is still excited when her 6 month check up comes around. That to me is amazing. I recommend Dr. Susan to any parent. I promise you, your experience will be nothing less then incredible! It will be love at first site! Guaranteed!!

Dr. Jarakian has been a great dentist for our toddlers, ages 2 and half years and 19 months at their most recent visits. Her office is well-equipped for young patients and she has provided beneficial information on best practice and care for both. We have been fortunate. She is a wonderful dentist. I went to her for a second opinion for an abscess tooth for my son and she was very good about explaining everything. She is very patient with the kids and knows how to work with them. Even if it takes her some time, she spends it with them to make them feel comfortable when she is doing her work. Her office is well equipped with all she needs to perform her work and does not need to send you out for dental work to be done. She also has a DVD player in each of the dental chairs so that kids can watch while she is working with them. We had a very good experience in her office.

My son Aidan and Jared were former patients of Dr. Susie, unfortunately we lost her when she established her practice and have been without a dentist until now. So happy to have found her!!! She had set the standard so high for a pediatric dentist that we have not been to another dentist since we last saw her.. Her patience and knowledge and attention to the children is superb!!! I drive from Antelope Valley to see her…I LOVE HER but most of all my boys do…Aidan my youngest was very nervous when he first started with her about 3 years ago since he had quite a bit of work done. He will only see her and that is so important that a child has that kind of comfort with there doctor!!!

This place is so legit! It is so far from my house, but worth the 30 minute drive. We came here as a referral from my sister, and she is picky. If this place is good for her son, then it is as good as it gets. The place is kid friendly and is not intimidating at all. They always have kids movies playing in the lobby and at each chair. While they are drilling, the kids are distracted by the Incredibles – its Fabulous! There is also some cool art on the walls. This was my son’s first visit at the dentist, and they made him real comfortable. Everything they did was described to my son in detail, so he knew what to expect. There was no surprise. These guys are pros and really know how to get the kids comfortable. Fortunately, we have only needed a teeth cleaning and a sealant. Regardless, this place is a great place to take your littles ones too.

We took our almost 3 year old son here today to get his teeth checked. He has a cracked tooth in the front and we were super anxious as to what they would recommend to repair it. Dr. Kim saw him and was wonderful with him despite his on and off crying. He let her check his mouth and was better than we expected and we know it’s cause she was super sweet with him. We are super happy with our first visit here and look forward to her taking caring of our son from now on. The office was really clean and the office staff was helpful and nice. Took my daughter here after reading the Yelp reviews. She had pretty bad experience at other dentist. She was crying and was scared before we arrived. I informed the staff. Morgan was the first to interact with her and spoke to her made her feel really calm. She proceeded with cleaning my daughter’s teeth and explaining to her every step they where going to do. She stayed calm while she watched a movie while Morgan cleaned her teeth. Dr. Susan came in after to check her teeth. She was friendly. Process was easy breezy. Hands down she is the BEST at what she does! My daughter is 7 and she’s been going to Dr. Susan since a little before she turned 3 years old. Dr. Susan is very patient with children and extremely knowledgable. I love how she is up to date with all her information and office equipment. She is also exteremly effective in making the children comfortable in the chair. She keeps them distracted with movies and guides them through the procedures. Till this day my daughter doesn’t realize that she has been numbed for the purpose of getting an injection. My daughter actually looks forward to seeing Dr. Susan and begs me to take her in for teeth cleanings because the Dr. and staff make it such a pleasurable experience. Today we had an appointment for two cavities and two extractions. My child was given laughing gas to put her at ease and she was numbed really good. Both the Dr. and staff took their time and did not rush through the treatment. They answered all of my daughter’s questions and took great care of her. I love how they allow you to sit next to your child and are not like most dentist where you have to wait in the waiting room. I was also impressed that Dr. Susan called in the evening just to make sure my daughter was not in pain and to see how she was feeling. It’s those type of gestures that leave a lasting impression because I know she’s very busy. Over the years, I’ve seen many happy children come in and out of her office and many are so well behaved. I think its because they feel so comfortable and trust her. She’s gentle and talks to them as if they have choices so they don’t feel stuck or forced in the chair. I highly recommend her if it’s your child’s first dental experience or even for a child that is traumatized from a previous encounter with another dentist. I definitely know the difference because we weren’t so lucky to find a dentist for my older son. He was tied to the chair and I was forced to wait in a waiting room down the hall wall. I vowed to find a dentist with compassion and to make sure that my daughter wouldn’t have the same unfortunate mistake that my son had gone through. I am so thankful we found Dr. Susan. We look forward to seeing her every six months unless something else is needed. The staff is also super kind and demonstrate great team work. Keep up the great work Kids Choice Dental, you guys are fantastic!!!

Both my kids love going to the dentist. They love the attention they get and that makes it so much easier for me. I love that when Dr. Susie gives me shots, she puts gel on my gums to numb it first. And, she also distracts me with movies. I love that she gives me the choice of which movie I get to watch. When my brother pushed me down and I cracked my tooth, Dr. Susie made time right away to fix it for me. I love how she lets me brush Nemo’s teeth before she does it to me.

My kids are older (16) and I called to see if she would see them because they just got out of braces and we just moved to SFV. They took them with no problem, did their cleanings, and were able to see them for treatment right way (within a week). We originally seen Dr. Susie then Dr. Erica which were both lovely and explained everything in detail! I hate when they don’t explain procedures to me, which was not the case here. My girls loved them and want to continue here. The Doctors said they will still see them until 18-19 but if they need extensive treatment, will be referred out cause of their age. But overall I am pleased! I would def recommend!

We have been going to Dr. Susie since our 9 year old daughter was 4 and every visit has been wonderful. She enjoys the kid friendly decor, non-stop entertainment from the half dozen TVs airing beloved Disney movies, and of course Dr. Susie! As a parent, I wanted my child’s experiences going to the dentist as far removed from my own traumatizing experiences growing up. I hated going to the dentist. Problem solved with Dr. Susie. My daughter feels comfortable and even enjoys going to see Dr. Susie and her friendly staff. It’s a wonderfully memorable experience for both parent and child. I wish I had Dr. Susie growing up! She demonstrates a level of care for my child that I truly appreciate. As a parent herself, she gets it. She understands all the anxieties parents suffer from and Dr. Susie engages me, as a parent, through that empathetic lens. During our recent visit, I noticed and appreciated the Covid protocols put in place. Social distancing, full PPE attire, temperature checks, even the jars of pens for filling intake forms labeled “used” and “clean”. Fantastic!! It makes the visit a bit more challenging, but what can one expect during a pandemic? Bottom line, I felt it was safe for me and most importantly my daughter. I highly recommend taking your child to Dr. Susie as soon as your child has teeth. It will set them up to enjoy going to the dentist at an early age, which undoubtedly turns to better oral health for their lifetime. Thanks Dr. Susie and Kids Choice Dental!

We have not been into the actual office yet but Wow what an amazing experience. My son is having a toothache which is preventing him from eating. Went to a different dental office and they wanted him to wait a month to get treatment. Granted my son unfortunately needs a lot of dental work. But having a 4 year old who cries when he eats wait 1 month is ridiculous. I spoke to Debbie at the front who was really sweet and Dr. Suzie herself. Dr. Suzie sounded so sweet and seems genuinely concerned for my sons well being. She prescribed my son antibiotics so he can start to feel better before we get to see her for an office visit. Dr. Suzie went above and beyond to find a pharmacy that had the actual medication. I’ve never felt this level of care from a medical profession and I am so grateful for her and cannot wait for our first visit!! Thank you Dr. Suzie.

We love Dr. Susie, Ms. Maria, and all of the staff at Kid’s Choice Dental! My daughter had her first dental appointment with Dr. Susie when she was one year old and we’ve now completed at least six visits with her. Dr. Susie spends time each visit showing my daughter her dental tools and explaining the purpose of each tool, demonstrating the tool against her finger, and then asking permission before starting any procedure. I appreciate this respect given to even the youngest patients. Each visit has been full of patience, humor, and excellent communication between Dr. Susie, my daughter, and myself. My daughter has no fear of the dentist or any dental procedures, and I credit this to Dr. Susie’s fun and calming approach to pediatric dentistry. I also appreciate Dr. Susie’s use of the latest techniques for preventing and/or controlling cavities in young children. She explains what she will be doing, why, the treatment’s ingredients, any potential side effects, and what to expect. She is always available in case of emergency or concern. Her office is clean and bright, with many appealing activities for young children, including movies and tv shows, toys, and books. Kids get a prize at the end of their visit, along with a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and a sticker! I am happy to recommend Kid’s Choice Dental for any child’s dental needs, and am pleased to continue our relationship with her as my daughter grows.

My daughter was so terrified of the Dentist and she is so stubborn that it is really hard for her to cooperate at the Dentist office. Kid’s Choice Dental was our 3rd dental office that we went to. My daughter had many cavities and she needed to do a tooth extraction. The 1st place we went to strapped her down because they needed to fill her cavities and she would not even inhale the laughing gas. The 2nd place we went to was okay, but she would not open her mouth that big and from the way she was reacting, the Dentist told us that the only way they can do the procedures she needed was to put her to sleep. My friend who is also a Dentist referred me to Dr. Erica Kim at Kid’s Choice Dental. Let me just tell you, she is amazing with children! My daughter just opened her mouth for her! My daughter didn’t need to be put down, they used oral sedation and laughing gas to extract her tooth and do all the other things needed for her teeth. My daughter is 4 years old and this was really such a big deal for us. We had so much anxiety about her teeth and taking her to the Dentist, but now we are so happy to have found someone who my daughter completely trusts! It is a drive for us because we don’t live nearby, but it is totally worth it because Dr. Erica Kim and the complete staff are so friendly and professional. This is how a pediatric dentist office should be. They have so much patience and they work very quickly! And let me also mention that the price was so fair too! We are excited to have found our Pediatric Dentist!

From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, being on the second floor of a complex in Reseda/Northridge but, I’m telling you, my daughter loooooves going here. We’ve been coming since she was two, now she’s almost five and my youngest (now two) comes here. What’s great is that it’s not just a dentist office with a couple kids book, like some places. They go all out, from the time you walk in. The KEY thing, though, is that they flat LCD tvs right over the chairs, watching Disney cartoons, which distracts them from the dental cleaning. Plus, everyone here is so nice and great with the kids. Couldn’t recommend a place more highly.

My kids and I love Dr. Susan! So glad we found this office on Yelp. We were going to a “fancy” dental office in Sherman Oaks for a long time. Though they were very good, I wanted to find a dentist that was more convenient for us. I’m so glad I checked out Kid’s Choice! Dr. Susan is warm and caring and the kids just love her. She was able to get my child in for an emergency check up on a bothersome tooth within 24 hours, and is even willing to come in bright and early when necessary to accommodate her patients’ schedules. Her staff is attentive and knowledgeable, and billing/pricing is very fair. My smallest child has always had a fear of the dentist previously. But she is no longer fearful – even of tougher procedures. Dr. Susan performed a tooth extraction and made the procedure extremely quick and pretty much painless for my daughter. Amazing!

We love Dr. Susie and her staff! Our kids look forward to their dental visits. Dr. Susie is very friendly. She treats our children with kindness, patience, and respect. Our daughter damaged her two front permanent teeth, and Dr. Susie was able to see us right away, and repaired both teeth.
