We have 6 children. Since moving back to Oahu 6 years ago we have called kidshine our ohana dentists. They have all the rooms kid friendly with TV for the kids to watch while they clean their teeth. Walk into the waiting area and greeted and feel welcome. Staff is very knowledgeable and have always been professional. They have done a great job during this time of covid

My kids have been coming for a couple of years now after searching for a good dentist and place where they won’t be scared we finally found it. We tried 3 different dentist before coming here. Every room is themed and even has TVs on the ceiling to keep our kids occupied. The staff is very friendly and the dentist are kind and informative. I’m glad we found this place.

I personally am all for my children (I have 3 that have been here) and when they are not afraid to go to the dentist, you know that place must be excellent. I love Kidshine and all the staff there because my kids love everything about this place! (I would do 10 stars if it were an option)From the fish tanks to the fun loving assistants my boys roll through here as if they were at home. My 6yr old is on the autism spectrum, and he has no issues coming in for his check ups! Compared to other offices that my cousins take their kids to, I’m glad Kidshine was my first and only choice for both my own and my sister’s kids!

Very kid friendly dentist office. Patient and friendly staff! The dentist is knowledgeable and gentle with my children. My 2 year old son can be a handful at times, but the staff seemed as if his unruliness was not an issue at all!!! The dental assistants were patient and took very good care of him. My kids are so entertained by the TV screens mounted in the ceiling that they don’t even notice that they’re having dental work done! Even the waiting room is beautiful! I love how there’s an orthodontist office already attached to this dental office. Parking is a pain, but that’s normal here. Definitely not a deterrent from coming here.

Awesome dentist ! They are so nice & friendly, not to mention that every visit when you check in on yelp/Facebook & show the front desk you can get a free prize of your choice, this includes mouth wash (kids & adults) or a toothbrush. I love that they are so good with kids there, my 1 year old son was so happy to see them & even wanted to go to them without hesitation. Wouldn’t go to any other dentist!

A year ago I was struggling to find the perfect pediatric dentist for my two daughters. We’ve been to a few but none of them compares to this one. I’m so glad we decided to come to Dr. David Ching. The staff here is always friendly, professional, patient, & encouraging. The environment is super clean. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a huge smile from the ladies at the front desk. I was afraid my toddler wouldn’t cooperate on her first checkup, but she did really well. They make you feel comfortable as a parent as well.

My girls have been coming here since they were 1 year old. Everyone is so friendly, from the receptionists, hygienists and dentists. My girls love coming in and seeing the animals and characters on the walls. The staff is so accommodating to my children’s needs, even offering sunglasses for their sensitive eyes. Highly recommended! The dental assistants Karla,Kristin & Karen were so friendly and helpful during my daughter’s procedure for her teeth filling. They were constantly checking on her, telling her how good she was doing! Every time I go there I am never dissatisfied with the dental assistants there. It amazes me how much patience they have with the children. I referred my sister there and she now takes my nephew there. My daughter loves the dentist due to the positive experience they give her and she is only 3. I am a little late writing this review but I didn’t forget about how amazing they are!

I love it here! My daughter had some work done awhile back. She had to have two of her bottom teeth removed due to infection & she’s been traumatized since. But I have to say at every visit after that she ends up nervous & scared thinking she’s gonna get her teeth pulled again so she cries & needs me like right there next to her. Lol The DA’s are SO patient with her & tries their best to calm her down & feel safe. Yesterday Kristi did an amazing job as well as two others who did her xrays but I didn’t get their names. It was also our first time meeting Dr. Chen ? He was awesome as well. Calm & collected especially while tryna put fluoride on my moving crying child. I recommend bringing your keiki’s here. Overall amazing pediatric dentist.

Had a few run ins with my kids prior dentist and because of that I was hesitant to find another one. But the moment I made the phone call and spoke to them changed my whole view. They was very polite, patient & understanding. My kids first visit went very well and the fact that I could actually be in the room was amazing. I wouldn’t change their dentist for any other one – I am glad lots of people recommended them. Because of how comfortable they make my kids feel they aren’t afraid to visit and never gives a hard time in the chair. I also love the fact they have TVs above and let them choose what to watch. They’re amazing! We recently moved to the Island & had no established dentist. I called them and explained what issues my daughter was having. The lady kindly told me that they were booked, but she would go talk to someone then call me back. Within 10 minutes she called me back saying they could squeeze my daughter in! We left right away. It was a little tricky to find because the google address sent us to Oahu Pediatric dental, which is on the opposite side if the shopping complex! FYI KidShine is behind the bowling alley side. There is A LOT of parking so don’t worry about that. Anyways, we arrived, filled out paperwork, & they took my daughter back fairly quickly. We discussed the plan & procedure. They took care of everything that afternoon. The whole staff was so nice & helpful. We saw Dr. D. Ching(?). He was friendly, patient, caring & thorough. I was allowed to be with my daughter the whole time. Each room seemed to have a theme which was cute & made my daughter like it a little more. She also got to choose a movie to watch during the dental work. The TV was on the ceiling. They also have a pretty good size waiting area with a big fish rank & played kid movies on the TV the whole time. That kept my other children occupied. We still have some insurance stuff to work out, but I am hoping to continue care with this office. If you’re looking for a dentist for your child I’d highly recommend them.

Wife and I were nervous about our son’s first checkup. He’s 2, apprehensive of new experiences, and not a fan of oral hygiene. Our experiences so far with pediatric health professionals have been adequate. The boy is healthy, has all his shots, and outlook is good. But this dental office? Holy eff, do they raise the bar. The staff are all actually friendly and warm. While needing to stick to their appointment schedule, they are patient and understanding, especially for a littl’uns first time. No one talked down to our son, no one talked down to us, we felt heard, understood, and elated for this exceptionally positive experience. We’ll be bringing all our spawn here for the foreseeable future.

This place is so amazing! I cannot stress this enough! We called yesterday and they were able to get us an appointment for the next day! Not only that but the elaborate decoration and attention to detail as well as how professional, kind and patient everyone was made this place well worth our time. My 4 year old loved her first official dentist visit and talked about it the whole way home! The front desk looks like a castle and every room is decorated with a different theme! We’ve been taking our two girls to Kidshine for 14 years and have always had good experiences. The staff are so kind and patient. They really know how to make the kids feel comfortable. In the last few years the office has made tons of changes, such as new room designs with cartoon themes and upgraded devices so the kids can watch a show while getting their teeth cleaned! The lobby is very clean with a nice aquarium that is very entertaining, as well. Other benefits we’ve experienced are having other specialist in office, such as getting teeth extractions and orthodontics. It’s convenient, but also reassuring because we trust the quality of care our children receive from Kidshine Pediatric Dental Group.

After having a bad experience with another dental office for my 6 year old, i was pleasantly surprised at how warm and welcoming everyone was here. My daughter has a genetic mutation that causes her to require quite a bit of dental work. This causes her a lot of dental anxiety but they were right by her side and rooting for her and cheering every time she did a great job. It was a great experience.

Great experience. Walked in the front door and right off the back my daughters were amazed at the atmosphere. Was greeted by the receptionist and checked in pretty fast. Got called in and was just again comforted at the kid zone area, the rooms are not numbered but labeled by numbers but by the cartoon characters. This place is great! My daughter isn’t a fan of going to the dentist but they were very patient and nice to her. Most dentist places won’t have the patience with a child & not even throughly clean their teeth and jst leave. But they waited till she was ready to start again. It does get busy here and it gets hectic with all the other children running around but they do try to get their job done as much as they can. Great place would recommend to my friends!

Best Pediatric Dentist. Family Oriented, Sanitary and very professional. I’m going to be completely honest, The whole process was a piece of cake. I’m still in shock at how amazing this business is. Their time management, their set up and their customer service is top notch. To find any dentist alone who actually cares about you and your health is rare, But to find a pediatric one is just the best thing for both parents and their children. The building isn’t hard to find, The entrance door is decorated with a Big Happy Tooth. The waiting room is Big and Open w/ multiple tvs, a couple beautiful fish tanks, a magazine area, and a lot of seats. I called a couple days ago to schedule an appointment, and they fit me in 2 days after. I checked in, Filled out paperwork (doesn’t take too long) and sat down to wait w/ my toddler & infant. As hard as that may sound since both kids are young and busy bees, they were so calm, relaxed and entertained which made the wait easy. When they called my son, I was thrilled that they allowed a parent to go back there. It really gave me a piece of mind, and kept me reassured that my son wouldn’t have a traumatic experience. My son was frightened, pretty difficult and a crier but that’s to be expected of as this was a new experience and seeing new faces. Aunty Tiare cleaned my son’s teeth, She was understanding and patient throughout the whole process. We then were introduced to the Dr. David Ching. I had a lot of questions, and he took the time to answer them. He was very patient and reassuring. Most Important Things: This place is sanitary, professional and accommodating! As a parent, they allow you to go back while your child is seen. The whole staff, from the receptionist to the dentist assistants to the doctors, they are all genuinely kind welcoming and respectful. It’s amazing that literally the whole staff are all like minded in being family oriented friendly. I completely trust them with my children’s dental needs and what’s important is i can trust my children in their care (:

Probably the best dentist I’ve ever been to by far. All of the staff are super friendly, they greet you right away and the decor makes you and your child feel at so much ease! Walls are filled with colorful pictures, aquarium in waiting area and every room I’ve been in had a tv on the ceiling and they’ll gladly ask what your child would like to watch lol. They have wheel spins for I think each visit and the child gets a prize! Location is pearl city has tons of parking and they have a fairly new location in kapolei.
