This is my first yelp review ever. Dr. Kim and his staff are amazing! My son has needed braces for 3 years and I have seen numerous orthodontists but never felt comfortable with any of them. Then I discovered his twin sister also needed braces and a friend recommended Dr. Kim. After our consult both of my kids wanted to get their braces on right there and then! Dr. Kim truly cares about his patients. This morning 2 of my sons brackets came off. Today is Sunday and the office is closed for the week as it is Christmas. I left a message on the answering machine. Dr. Kim called me back and said to come into the office that day. After we were done I thanked him and he said he was there for his patients and seeing his patients happy makes him happy. Everyone in the office is so accommodating! If you need braces you need not look any further then Dr. Kim!

Dr. Kim has been my orthodontist since 2010. As a middle-aged adult who went through 3 years of orthodontia 10+ years prior to meeting Dr. Kim, I occasionally need his expert advise and guidance in regards to my retainers. He has made me several retainers over the years when needed due to my having new crowns. I trust his judgment and techniques in maintaining my teeth alignment and keeping my smile like it was when I got my braces off many years ago. I have brought my daughters to him for issues related to their post-braces dental care. I also have to say that I have never met a more cheerful, pleasant, and hard-working professional in the dental care industry. Dr. Kim’s front & back office staff are highly qualified in their jobs and that is always reassuring to me. I think it’s great too that he supports many local children’s/teens sports teams. This month I will be getting a new crown on my bottom molar which will then require me to have a new bottom retainer. Dr. Kim said I won’t have to get the mold/impressions done like in years past; he now has a state-of-the art computer system that eliminates that procedure. Nice! I gave him a 5-star review because he deserves it.

I’ve been coming to Dr.Kim for a couple of years now and am about to get my braces removed in a couple of weeks! Every time I come in here I am greeted by name! They are so flexible with my constant schedule changes so I can always move my appointment to a later or closer date! Not only is the team of dental assistants friendly but they’re knowledgeable, kind, and considerate while making changes to your braces. Everyone on the team is constantly working towards making sure you’re comfortable. Dr.Kim himself is one of the most kind hearted and accommodating persons I have ever met. He is not only a stellar orthodontist but an amazing person. I recommend this place to literally everyone!

After interviewing four orthodontists, I settled on Dr. Kim. These are the reasons why: They don’t spend a lot of extra energy on needless fluff like some of the other orthodontists I visited. There isn’t a runway, video games, streamers on the wall. There are chairs and people. They don’t use rubber bands. This was news to me. All the other people I consulted were still using either wires or rubber-bands. They have this interesting type of bracket that has a sliding clasp that will hold the wire in place. That saves a lot of time and hassle in my opinion. They have the x-ray and molding supplies in house. It doesn’t seem like much, but only two of the four places I went had them, and it seemed much simpler that having to go to a third part to be a mold and x-ray done. I didn’t have to have spacers placed in my mouth. I found this quite a relief

Not a patient YET, but I went in for a consultation today and he could have lied to me and told me that my daughter needs phase 1 and phase 2, but his honesty saved me a huge amount! I will be returning with my daughter in a couple years, as I’m sure she will need braces. But we won’t have to pay for two phases, which a lot of my friends are doing now with their children, even if not needed. Also, he is extremely bubbly and friendly, great with kids 🙂

After being constantly disappointed in results from other orthodontists, I went to Dr.Kim in 2015 to look into Invisalign! He’s been amazing for the past 3 years and has the most infectious energy that makes you feel good leaving the office. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Kim and his staff! They are great! Everyone is very friendly and we always feel welcomed when coming into the office. Both my sons got braces pretty much at the same time and the process was very easy. Thank you Dr. Kim for saving my daughter’s science camp experience! It was 9:00 PM on Easter Sunday and my daughter’s bracket came off. She was scheduled to leave for science camp at 7:30 Monday morning and be gone for a week. She begged me to glue it back on or cut it off. I thought it was a long shot, but I called Dr. Kim’s office and left a message. To my surprise, he called me back within 20 minutes and he was willing to see her at 7:00 AM. He saw her early the next morning, fixed her braces and she was off to camp. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help her enjoy science camp!

I went to see Dr. Kim about 4 years ago. My teeth were wonky and now I have a smile that everyone compliments. Also, Dr. Kim is so nice and welcoming that he really feels like a good friend now. In fact, I recently lost my retainer and went back a few days ago and he remembered me and we caught up on everything. He’s not only an awesome guy, but his orthodontist work is phenomenal. Dr. Kim is honestly the best orthodontist around. I had my braces taken off a number of years ago but I recently went back because my retainer was bothering me. I called, made an appointment, and he saw me as soon as I walked in and made a few tweaks to my retainer and it was all fixed! He is so kind and genuine and always has a smile on his face. He fixed my retainer free of charge and told me to call him if I needed anything. Even when I had my braces on, he was so patient and understanding and honestly did such an amazing job. If you’re looking for an orthodontist, look no further, Dr. Kim is by far the best. His staff makes you feel comfortable and he does the same. I’m so grateful to have had such an amazing orthodontist!

Dr. Kim has taken care of our two older kids and now we are down to our last one (yeah!). He is a pro but also super friendly making everyone feel comfortable. Absolutely LOVE Dr. Kim and his staff. I am getting married and needed my spacing in my teeth fixed for pictures and then found out I also have a bite problem. He gave me the quickest treatment plan to get the results I wanted (and needed!) in order for my smile to be picture ready by the time of the wedding! He even said if the braces are not ready to come off in time he will to a temporary removal for the wedding! Office environment is friendly and comforting. Dr. Kim’s positive energy with every patient is contagious and you can tell he truly cares for each and every patient that comes to him. Highly recommend Dr. Kim!

Shortly after getting my braces, Dr. Kim moved the office from Laguna Hills to Lake Forest. Very convenient off the freeway. I went back to have my retainers checked. I was blown away when I stepped foot into the new office. It’s huge, totally brand new and well designed. The dental chairs were spaced apart sufficiently for physical distancing. TV monitors with soothing scenes to put you at ease. Everyone had masks on. Plexiglass between the front staff and patients. Hand sanitzers available. With all this pandemic craziness going on right now, the environment is still the happy, cheery, inviting office it was before. Being an older high risk patient, I felt very safe in the office with what Dr. Kim has implemented. I always look forward to my visits. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim is a kind and very detailed oriented doctor. He treated me at UCLA and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My treatment plan was more complicated than most as it involved jaw surgery to help correct my overbite. At each visit Dr. Kim clearly explained what steps he was taking and how it affected the alignment of my teeth. He also worked well with my oral surgeon who, by the way, is a well respected veteran, to make sure my teeth were properly aligned before the surgery. I now have a great smile but more importantly I have the proper bite. I can eat better and without any jaw pain. Dr. Kim did a fantastic job and I would recommend him to anybody.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kim’s since February 2017 when I was referred to him by the surgeon who later did my jaw surgery (in Dec 2017). Dr. Kim worked so hard to collaborate with my surgeon over the course of my treatment and meet every deadline. He was always communicating with me and It was clear that he was invested in my case. He was able to have my teeth ready for jaw surgery in about 9 months and provided me with a lot of information and support throughout my journey in preparing for surgery and the operation itself. My post-operation treatment was just as great and I felt like I had a whole team behind me supporting my recovery. Dr. Kim and his team are above and beyond. They are both knowledgeable and skilled, but more importantly they are invested in their patients – which clearly shines through in the cheerful atmosphere of the office

This practice is amazing. Dr Kim is an honest doctor. The staff is friendly, appointment was on time. My 8yr old son has been told by his primary dentist/orthodontist for more than a year now that he needs to have orthodontist consult for braces. I was very very nervous, I do not believe in orthodontics for cosmetic purposes. I spent hours researching honest orthodontists who would not just upsell me like a used-car salesman to spend thousands on unnecessary braces. And I found the place! Demanding and meticulous in nature, I am a difficult person to work with but Dr. Kim has been gracious and patient throughout all our interactions. He thoroughly answers all questions and provides multiple treatment options to accommodate my needs. I feel ownership in my treatment and progress. I could not be more thankful that I found Dr. Kim and Kim Family Orthodontics. Over the course of 21 months, we were able to get my teeth straightened out. Dr. Kim and his team were always cheerful, helpful, and efficient. Kelley helped me navigate dental insurance several times due to a job change and a change in providers. When I misplaced a set of aligners, they were able to make my next tray sooner than planned and move my appointment up. They were also flexible with scheduling, which I really appreciate given that meetings at work had run late more than once. The price was also well within reason. I really can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve spent my entire adult life hating my teeth – I’m only sorry I didn’t come sooner!

Choosing an orthodontist can be very confusing and frustrating. We went to 4 ortho docs and all recommended different treatment plans at costs that varied by thousands! I was so aggravated because my insurance coverage and costs seemed pretty straight forward. Instead, I got a lot of confusing double talk. We chose Dr Kim, honestly, because his treatment was the most straight-forward and least expensive. My son’s smile is now perfect after only 2 years! He didn’t need the multi-step, extra contraptions the other doctors recommended. We’ve now put all three of our kids through Dr Kim. The latter two needed more room to accommodate their teeth, and had to wear a spacer (I call it the “medieval rack”) for a few months. In my day, ortho doctors pulled teeth to make room, now they have spacers. Painful but ingenious. This cost more but was still less than what I was quoted in my first round of shopping!! I now often question the motive when I see kids getting braces in elementary school on baby teeth and wearing them for 4+ years in varying “stages of treatment”. My kid’s teeth were pretty bad but each got them fixed in approx 2 years during middle school with Dr Kim. Lastly, you will not find a kinder, more joy-filled man on the planet, than Dr Kim! His staff is great too!

Dr. Kim was excellent and honest. He was the second opinion for my son to get braces. The first ortho Barkate ortho in Ladera just wanted to put braces on and do a whole process. Dr. Kim couldn’t understand why Barkate would do this being that my son hasn’t lost all his baby teeth. It would just end up causing more time and having braces longer to move the permanent teeth. They are very honest, outgoing, friendly, I would highly recommend Dr. Kim

Went for my son’s dental check up and waited about 10 minutes, the ladies in the front are super polite and then BAM! You are greeted by Dr. Kim and his huge happy smile. It is one large room of patients being worked on but you forget that there are no walls when you interact with the staff and Dr. Kim. Everything felt easy and smooth. The only part that I would mention is that this place seems super popular that on our Saturday visit there can be not enough seating to wait at. Maybe Dr. Kim can expand his office eventually because with the wall full of photos he looks like he has hundreds of patients! I love how convenient and close it is from our house too. Thanks for offering Saturday appointments for us working parents!! Can’t wait to return even though it will be next year if nothing comes up! My problem with writing this review is that i don’t really have a word to describe this place. Perfect and awesome sounds too lame. I guess something like heavenly would be good. I have been to some consultations about braces before my dentist recommended this place. At other places I went to, the orthodontist was either not even interested in treating me unless I chose the insane route and had my perfectly healthy jaw bone sliced in half to correct my overbite. Or they just wanted to overcharge me for their service. Dr Kim did not do any of those standard shitty dentist/orthodontist stuff. He was nice and understanding the whole time and wanted to work with what I felt was the correct way of doing it. Which was not slicing my healthy bones in half. But he has other, in my opinion much more normal and better solutions. I paid a very fair price and received service that was worth way more than I paid. I had braces on for 2 years and the results are absolutely beyond what I expected. I think it was beyond what Dr Kim expected too. I was a good patient, not the lazy kind who just wants to waste their money and then get no result. I wore what I had to and did my best to comply with everything I was asked. Any time I had any issue I was able to get a same day appointment and once he even went to the office on a weekend to take care of something for me. The staff is also awesome. The assistants are friendly and do a great job. I never had any issues with the front desk people either, they could always schedule good appointment times for me and move appointments when needed or get me in on a short notice

This man is AH-mazing! Tonight (Friday) at around 10pm, part of the wire in my daughter’s braces busted loose and was dangling out of her lips. My husband took pliers and snipped it off as close to the brace as he could get it. But there was still a sharp edge sticking out which was scraping against the inside of her mouth. I called Dr. Kim’s office, obviously knowing I’d have to leave a voicemail and thinking for sure nothing could be done until Monday morning at the very earliest. Which meant that my poor little girl was going to be in discomfort—or downright agony—for two and a half days. Well, not ONLY did Dr. Kim return my phone call within 5 minutes of when I called his office, but he told me I could bring my daughter in tomorrow morning at 8am and he will get her fixed right up!! This man is not only a fantastic orthodontist, he’s a GODSEND! And my daughter really likes him too, which means a lot to me. I highly recommend Dr. Kim for your orthodontic services! He came highly recommended by my daughter’s dentist and it’s certainly easy to see why

We started our practice in 2009 with the vision to serve our patients with outstanding care in a welcoming environment. We are so thankful to have helped create new smiles for our patient family in an office...where everyone smiles! Dr. Enoch Kim is a native of Orange County and has been practicing in South Orange County for over ten years. Dr. Kim completed his undergraduate education at UCLA Summa Cum Laude with a degree in biology. Dr. Kim continued his education at the UCLA School of Dentistry where he graduated with honors and was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. After dental school, Dr. Kim, was chosen to stay at UCLA as one of 7 dentists to attend the UCLA School of Dentistry’s post-doctoral orthodontic specialty program. Dr. Kim is happily married to Kaitlyn, his college sweetheart and they currently have three wonderful children. In his free time, Dr. Kim enjoys being involved with his local church and has served as a music/worship leader for over 14 years. Dr. Kim's passion is for people. For him, the greatest reward is to see his patients smile!
