I always dread going to the dentist, but I actually had a really great visit here today! My hygienist, Jessica, was super sweet and made my visit very positive. I was called back right at my scheduled time and all of the staff I interacted with were nice and efficient. Also konicoff oral surgeon is right up stairs and I was conveniently able to go up there right after my appointment and immediately got a consultation and scheduled my wisdom tooth extraction.

I have a phobia of dentists. My friend recommended this office while I was in extreme pain so I sucked it up and called. Even in my frantic, half cohesive ramblings about being in agony but scared as heck, the receptionist was extremely kind and patient with me. They fit me in immediately. My tech was kind and gentle and explained everything to me. Even when I was crying or shaking, she took the time to explain and reassure. My dentist absolutely did the same, reflecting complete respect and empathy while maintaining professionalism. I didn’t feel attacked, I didn’t feel like a number, and I wasn’t treated to any sales pitch. My dentist recommended a treatment plan involving experts who are on site upstairs. Returning for subsequent visits, I had the same experience. My dentist remembered me, brought up things we’d discussed previously, and was very available to quell my fears and offer her expertise. I had different techs and thus far, they have all been amazing. Due to my phobia, I’m sure I’ve been a difficult patient, but have never once been made to feel like I’m making their jobs more difficult. They are always understanding, gentle, and willing to explain processes or give me a minute when I need it. I get reminders about appointments frequently enough to not forget. Billing and explanation of services has always been smooth. If I had known it would be this easy to go to the dentist, I would have over come my fear a long time ago. I know it’s difficult sometimes to remember why you’re being kind in a service industry and this staff is doing a phenomenal job. I appreciate everything they’ve done for me and hate going to the dentist a little less every time I have to go in now.

I’ve been going here since I moved here in 2017. Every time I have come here it has been amazing. My last visit, I found out I needed fillings. I have never had fillings before, and when I went in, they were very kind and patient explaining everything that they were doing, and were very understanding about me being nervous for my first filling. I have to go back for two more fillings and I am not worried about them any more, I am confident they will be taken care of and I won’t have to worry about anything else.

What is historically expected to be unpleasant experience was to the contrary, excellent dentistry!!! Didn’t even feel a thing nor did I need gas or anesthesia. The procedure was well explained. Recently relocated to the area and needed a cleaning so I called and made an appointment. They were able to get me in the same day due to a cancellation. The office was clean and the staff were very friendly. Check in process was quick and easy, and there is a coffee bar and a tv to entertain you. A thorough exam with full X-rays was done and my cleaning was pain free. I hate going to the dentist but my hygienist, Lynn, was so amazing- professional, knowledgeable, and great at what she does. As a healthcare provider myself (RN), I recognize great bedside manner when I see it. Or in this case, chair-side 😛 I can’t wait to go back in 6 months. And I’m definitely requesting Lynn!

Everyone in the office is so nice and welcoming. I was told what all was going on throughout the appointment and every effort was made to keep me comfortable. I have had some experiences in the past where I was sore or in pain for sometimes weeks after having work done, but that is not the case this time. I had two crowns done in one appointment and there is very little post-op discomfort. I am so impressed with Konikoff Volvo that I will recommend them to anyone!

We recently moved back to Chesapeake after being away for 4 years. I chose Konikoff dentistry because of the Google reviews I read online and it’s also walking distance from our home. I took my youngest son there first for a cleaning. They let me know that he had 3 cavities he needed to get fixed. I ended up scheduling an appointment for the next day. After a few hours I got nervous because I remembered that my son was afraid of needles and they don’t provide laughing gas for patients. So I spoke to the staff there about my concerns and they made amazing adjustments to keep my son fear free. Through the whole process they answered all of his questions and made the process so amazing. By the end we were all laughing and he was done. That was by far the best experience we’ve or I’ve ever had at a dentist office. It made me feel like we were a part of a new family that would take care of our dental needs with real smiles. Thank you all so much for easing my concerns and taking the best care of my son that far exceeded my expectations.

I haven’t been to a dentist since I was 16. Now 39 i decided to check my fear and get started. They are so professional & friendly. My hygienist Jennifer was so nice she settled me down joked with me and told me everything step by step. Now of course you gonna fell a little tugging and pulling after not going in a long time. But it wasn’t to bad and I can take some physical pain. Also my Dr Seema & her assitaint was so nice easy on the eyes and we laughed,had fun and answered all question about making a plan to have a better smile. In others words this is a dope place. I made two appointments on different dental clinics for the same day, one was Konikoff. I have doubts about the other dental clinic because the reviews I read. So I decided to keep Konikoff and cancel the other one. I’m glad I did. As a Hispanic I prefer hispanic doctors, specially for my mom that doesn’t speak English. My surprise was the doctor that saw my mom is Hispanic and a technician too. It is great to be able to explain all your health concerns knowing that you have been understood and you will have the right help you need. Congratulations to Konikoff for having bilingual personnel! This is a plus. I’m very pleased with the service that my mom received. Great personnel, very polite, professional and helpful.

Love this office! They’re amazing, professional, and always get everything done that I need done. I recently had to go for my first-ever filling (I know, I’m lucky to make it this far without needing one) and they were amazing with keeping me calm and explaining everything they were doing. I’ve also gotten a night guard made here and their prices are reasonable, and the process isn’t too bad. Making the molds was a little uncomfortable, but unfortunately that’s the nature of the task. Would recommend this place to all my friends.

I’ve been here three times now since I have to take the lisa here for their cleaning. Their pediatric dentistry is overbooked and hard to get the kids in.. But the kids love their friendly dental hygienist and dentist here. Dr. Chawla is their dentist and she is so sweet and caring for all her patients. She is so nice and very knowledgeable. My son was having a toothache and they gave him an appointment quickly for the next day. They are so fast and efficient here. The waiting room is nice and quiet. The kids enjoy the fish aquarium and I especially enjoy their espresso and coffee making machine. I loved that they had a mail box where the kids can write and send letters to the tooth fairy. They assist the community and are also have a back to school backpack drive along with school supplies. The place is clean. They give good teeth advice and service here is top notch. I like that they don’t keep me waiting for appointments and once we arrive they don’t have us waiting too long to get seen. We got called in to see the dentist right away. Knowing I have three boys, they got each of them a same time appointment for their cleaning and I was so happy about that! It’s a perk for me knowing that I don’t have to wait for each kids to get seen one at a time and wait for an hour or more to get their cleaning done. The dental chairs and office is up to date and well equipped. My kids are not afraid coming to the dentist and having the tv screen to entertain them for the moment is a plus. For now this is were my kids and I will be seen and we are completely happy so far with this office being our go to primary dentist.

Dr. Chawla was very attentive to my needs, offering me breaks and options and ultimately finishing the work quickly. Love love love this office. Had to get my fillings down and the staff here are so nice and super caring. It’s hard to find great family friendly people nowadays. The place is extremely organized and clean. I arrived 15 mins early to my appointment and they took me right away, no wait time. The doctor that handle my fillings was really great with letting me know her every move and how she was going to handle the procedure. I’m convincing my husband to go to this off. I really admire the atmosphere in this office.

Impressive dental office! I cannot say enough great things about konikoff. The staff is super friendly and caring. My dentist is personable and friendly. The hygienist is really nice and great at her job. Their waiting area is pretty comfortable. They have magazines,water and keurig coffee, and wifi. All free of course. Their dental facilities are modern, clean and state of the art. Their restrooms are always clean and stocked. They have plasmas in every room that you can watch as your getting your procedure done. I actually look forward to visiting the dentist because its a wonderful experience every time. All the staff I’ve met seem to really enjoy their jobs. It’s a great environment, they even had a kids room with video games for them.

I had to have extensive work done and spent over 4 hours in the dentist chair. I absolutely l loved Rebecca, Lauren and doctor Wissink. I had 2 crowns, 2 cavities filled and a tooth pulled and it was literally pain free. Due to a fear of the dentist and needles I have put off having the treatment done I would have gone through with years ago if I knew about the team at konikoff on Volvo Parkway. I grew up in an abusive household, where my dental or health otherwise, was not a priority. My adult teeth were pulled if infected, and I was dentally mature, so I was the most affected of my three siblings. However, I care for my children’s teeth as I wish I would have been. The care here was amazing!!! I told them about my anxiety and my daughters, and they were supportive medically and emotionally.!
