I highly recommend Dr. Smith and his friendly team at La Costa Family Dental. I’ve been going here for a few years and they’ve always been extremely welcoming and professional. I have always had horrible experiences at the dentist and this office has changed my views forever! They are simply incredible. The ladies in the front are so wonderful and accommodating and Dr.Smith is honest, thorough and efficient! I used to feel like I was always getting “upsold” at dentists office and that couldn’t be farther from the case at La Costa Family Dental. They are the best!

Great dentist, very helpful, professional and flexible with people’s busy lives. In fact, he even came in one Saturday to fix an emergency broken tooth for me! When is the last time you can say that about a business! Reminded me of what is was like back in my hometown. We have used Dr Smith for nearly 3 years now. The entire staff has been honest and upfront and has always been concerned with the costs to his patients. Dr. Smith is an honest man. The entire staff is friendly and makes all of us feel welcome and comfortable, as comfortable as anyone can be at the dentist that is! I usually avoid the dentist because of high pressure for unnecessary things and saying if I don’t get it done then they wont treat me.. BUT when my filling fell out of my mouth my husband said to try La Costa Family Dental.. boy am I glad I did!!.. The entire staff is very nice and so helpful and Dr. Smith fixed my tooth right away with out the high pressure saies pitch. Just a genuine dentist that cares and listens to his patients needs.. Have already scheduled future appointments and will be telling all my family and friends about this office. Thank you so much.

Dr. Smith met me in the office on Saturday morning and repaired a HUGE chip on a front top tooth. He even entertained and sang to my two year old daughter while he worked. My toddler now can’t wait to go back and told me that the dentist was fun. Thank you so much!!! You and your entire staff really care!! Love you guys

We have been going to Dr. Kevin Smith for years as our family dentist.  He has always been there for us.  Can’t say enough about the experience.  He is extremely professional and is very flexible working with our crazy schedules. Highly recommend him as your family dentist!

Dr. Smith and Staff have been a part of my family for many years. Im greatful to call them my life long family dentist. Dr. Smith and Dr. Martin have helped settle my nerves and provided me with many laughs. I love being greated with the girls up front. They have answered all my insurance needs. I have been going there for quiet some time. The chairside manner and the idea of all digital Xrays are plus’s in my book. Dr. Smith thank you for everything you have done for me and my family and for providing me with many laughs and sing alongs. I cant wait to see you when i get my braces off! Doctor Smith handled my family’s medical care for 10 years – (we moved away and had to find another dentist).  His staff  was always very friendly and he provided the highest possible care. He actually made a house call for a dental emergency and has always been our most reliable heath care provider.  I recommend him and his practice to anyone looking for a great dentist and great dental care for all services!  He was great with our kids as well!

Best Dentist Ever! Our daughter was very upset because she had lost her temporary crown after having surgery performed at the VA center the previous day.  We had never used Dr. Kevin Smith but were referred to him by another person.    We contacted Dr. Smith and he quickly came in on his off day and repaired her tooth.  His calming effect put her at ease.  He answered all of her questions with knowledge and experience.  We would fully recommend Dr. Smith for all of your dental needs.  Thank you so much for taking the time and patience to make an extremely difficult day into an extremely harmonious experience!!!!!!!!!!! :

Kevin was one of the best dentist’s I have ever had. Went above and beyond to make my smile perfect! I would go back to him in a heartbeat! He made me feel comfortable and I usually don’t do well at the dentist. Thank you Kevin for everything!

Everyone here was so kind and accommodating. New to the area and needed help fixing my chipped tooth ASAP. They were not only open for work but were open to helping me as a brand new patient. And even more than just helping me, they bent over backwards to accommodate my need. Both of the doctors were willing to work through their lunch hour to save my face! It smelled delicious inside which was a nice change from other dental offices, it was a friendly environment, and my tooth looks great. Did I mention I am dental phobic and this is my first appointment ever without being sedated and I STILL have good things to say?!

I am a new patient and have had an excellent experience thus far. I’ve gotten my teeth cleaned a few times and let me tell you, Natalie is amazing I can’t stress that enough! I’ve never had a dental hygienist who is so friendly and has an amazing spirit inside & out 🙂 I recently got my first two crowns put in by Dr. Smith and surprisingly it wasn’t that bad! I’m definitely not a fan of the dentist, but Dr. Smith helped make the process smooth and simple, and goes out of his way to make sure you’re pleased. I would recommend La Costa Family Dental to everyone; even the ladies at the front desk are delightful. I certainly appreciate excellent customer service and you will absolutely get it here. Love Dr. Kevin! I had my teeth broken during a game of golf on a Sunday and my friend gave me his info. He totally came in to meet me at 6pm and undid what the emergency room did. He had me with temp teeth in 5 days and had my new teeth in within 2 mos. Everyone was so surprised that I had new teeth so quickly. Having your teeth knocked out sucks but Kevin made it a better experience. He is now our dentist for life.

Dr. Smith is the very best dentist I have ever had. I had two root canals and bonding on my front teeth to close a gap. Absolutely no pain and was able to return to work right after. I’ve always been insecure about the gap in my teeth, but Dr. Smith gave me a beautiful smile

I was referred to La Costa Family Dental by a close family friend and I can honestly say that it has been an exceptional experience each time I go in. Everyone, starting with the women at the front desk work extremely hard making sure appointments are set up around my schedule and send me reminders of upcoming appointments. The Dental Hygienists are also very pleasant and do an amazing job. From the moment you walk in you are welcomed with open arms and it truly makes the visit there great. I have been in for cleanings, wisdom teeth, and tooth repairs and I must express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Smith and Dr. Rosen for always making each visit comforting and relaxed. It really is great going to a place where everyone there truly cares about your well being. I would recommend anyone looking for a dentist to go to La Costa Family Dental. You will walk out of there smiling

The Drs are absolutely amazing along with the DAs. They took me right in when was in a lot of pain and they took care of it quick! This is probably one of the best dental offices I have ever been too

I am not a fan of the dentist but this is by far the BEST dental office I have ever been to! The staff is so incredibly kind, yet so professional. It is truly the BEST dental care I have ever had. I have had 2 dental emergencies and Dr. Smith, not only put my mind at ease, but repaired my teeth (crowns and bridges) in minimal time with zero pain! The office staff is so accommodating, going above and beyond in personal service. I am so grateful to have found this office after moving to Carlsbad. Dr. Smith also did a cosmetic repair on a tooth that other dentists told me for years was “unfixable!” I can finally smile without being self-conscious! Amazing! I recommend this office to any and all!

Definitely as good as it gets!  These folks are like “family” to me.  Dr. Smith has spared me tremendous pain at one point, and provided absolutely professionally perfect services for all my dental needs for years.  I think of them in-between visits, as I am today – as friends. I had a superb dentist many years ago, who retired; then I suffered through several who just did  lousy work, or caused me pain, and the last one was just greedy – and got away with (unnecessary) thousands from me – regrettably.  I only mention that because I came to La Costa Family Dental with a lot of fear and distrust and vulnerability.  Well- they will be my dentist for life – I truly couldn’t be happier, and they have earned my ULTIMATE HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION OF ALL

Worth every penny.  The fact that Dr Smith does root canals, is a sign that he is very well qualified.  He found that my previous dentist left in silver fillings in under thwe white, after that dentists was paid to take out the silver.  Dr Smith showed be that he got all the silver out.  Here, you definitely get what you pay for.

Dr. Smith has treated me and my family so well over the years, I can’t say enough positive things about him and his practice!  Prior to changing Dentist I dreaded going, but after finding Kevin it changed my entire outlook.  Because of Kevin, my two young girls to this day want to be dentist. I had a great experience with Dr. Smith and the team at La Costa Family Dental. I’ve had a ton of dental work done so I’m always pretty leery when it comes to trying out a new dentist. I was having issues with two crowns and ended up needing new ones. Dr. Smith said he would guarantee his work, and if I ever had issues to come back. My new crowns fit perfectly and I already notice a huge difference at my gum line where I was having issues. The hygienists and techs were great, as well as the lovely office team. Dr Smith made my Million Dollar Smile into a BILLION dollar smile!! I recently had to have crowns put onto my 6 front upper teeth… talk about leery and scared… I’ve always loved my smile and was so skeptical about having this done as once they file off those choppers it’s a DONE DEAL!  Whelp, Dr Smith not only did an amazing job but kept me comfortable and at ease while he sang me Christmas Carols and quizzed me with his Holiday Spirit Trivia… “all I want for Christmas is my 6 Front Teeth” and I got them and they are gorgeous!

Dr Smith has been my dentist for a very long time. He is very caring and always checks on me when ever I have a procedure. Any emergencies I have had have been dealt with very quickly. He is caring and gentle. Thank you Dr. Smith for all the work you have done for me!
