I give Dr. Strother five stars (more if I could!) for his expertise, professionalism, and genuine concern for his patients. He is skilled in virtually all aspects of painless, modern dentistry. He treats patients of all ages (I am 70 years old) and accommodates those with medical challenges (I write from experience!). Dr. Strother’s office has state-of-the-art equipment including a digital X-ray machine and a computer-controlled ceramic milling machine. I have had many office appointments over the past year and all with little if any wait time. I find the prices for Dr. Strother’s services to be very competitive. I would recommend Dr. Strother (and his able assistant-hygienist-receptionist, Larissa) without hesitation!

I have had excellent experiences at this clinic. The staff is friendly, doctors and technicians are competent, and treatments are explained to the patient very well. Here it seems that doctors actually appreciate good dental health of the patient, instead of seeing it as an opportunity to sell expensive optional extra treatments (like done in other clinics, unfortunately). I can highly recommend this place.

Have been going to Dr. Strothers for years–I like him because he doesn’t recommend treatments I don’t need nor apply high pressure sales tactics (I have had dentists tell me I need thousands of dollars of immediate repairs given that I have fillings or crowns on all molars). He also suggests economical options when available or tells me when I can wait. My teeth are holding up very well under his care. I never have to wait–overall very pleased with the service

If you are looking for quality care this is the place.  Everyone is very professional,  caring, gentle and knowledgeable. This is our family dentist, we love coming here. Definitely recommend. Dr. Strotle is the best Dentist I’ve ever experienced.  All staff are friendly and helpful.

I recently moved to San Diego and my husband recommended Dr. Strother and his team for my dental needs. Overall, a great experience! His office is located in a large business complex right off of the 5 freeway. You have to drive half way into the complex but there’s plenty of parking. Dr. Strother is very professional and kind. He did a thorough exam of my teeth and answered all my questions. Larissa is the dental hygienist who does the teeth cleaning. Warning: she uses an electric cleaning tool in the beginning which makes a lot of noise and vibrates your whole face. I would recommend bringing some ear plugs or a headset to dampen the noise. She is efficient but thorough and I left with smooth, clean teeth! Because I don’t have dental insurance, I had to search around for the best cash price. Dr. Strother’s office is very reasonable (other places wanted to charge me more for the same basic exam and cleaning). My husband has been coming here for years and can vouch for their great services but more importantly, he appreciates Dr. Strother’s good ethics and professionalism. Tip: they provide late afternoon/evening and Saturday hours to accommodate people working the Monday-Friday 8-5 job.

yep agree with myself as previous review dr strother is a excellent ethical and highly qualified clinician who does excellent work and is very honest hisoffice is great and his staff (serena / maria) very nice and professional! im definitely sticking w this doctor! he fixed a problem for me 2 uears ago that 2 dentists had failed at previously and it is still doong great! this is a really wonderful dentist office and i recommend it without reservation.

Having recently needing a cleaning and exam and being new in town, a friend recommended LaJolla Dental and Dr Strother. The atmosphere was inviting and the hygienist performed expertly and my teeth have never been whiter. I also opted for a teeth alignment service. I felt comfortable being there and their care for me was evident. I will continue to use their services. Highly recommended!!

Dr. Strother explained every step of the procedure which put me at ease. He took his time in, although it was a minimal time in the chair, of ensuring that he didn’t take more of the tooth than was absolutely necessary which reinforced my calmness His simplistic way of explaining what he was doing was truly appreciated.

Just finished visiting Dr. Strother at La Jolla Dental. I had a great experience, he and the dental hygienist did an excellent job. I had x-rays taken, and the Dr. Strother explained the images and what he looks for.  He didn’t try to sell me on anything I didn’t need and personally started the cleaning manually.  The dental hygienist then took over. The facilities have plenty of parking, and the office is clean and they have hi-tech equipment.  I had not visited the dentist in 8 plus years and was worried, but I will definitely be returning from now on.

Dr. Strother did a great job with our 6 year old son who needed 2 fillings. He was very professional and able to do the fillings with local anesthetic while talking my son through the procedure. We were there for half an hour and then on our way back home. He and his assistant Larissa were wonderful. I was very impressed. I definitely recommend Dr. Strother and his partners if you need dental care!

Had 2 of my wisdom teeth removed today. The procedure was explained very clearly by Dr. Strother and everything ran smoothly. It took maybe about 20-30 minutes, which was surprisingly fast. His assistant gave detailed instructions for after care. Overall, the experience was great and I highly recommend seeing Dr. Strother!

After going to Dr. Strother for the past 7 years, I can honestly say he has my utmost respect and trust! I would highly recommend Dr. Strother, he is not only professional and compassionate but really makes you feel as though he gIves you options that helps you to the determine the best path for your ongoing dental health needs!
