I have been a patient at LA smiles since 2008. I have always had top-notch pain-free care. They’ve corrected my sensitivity and relieved my lifelong dental anxiety! I’ve been toying with the idea of getting veneers for many years now. I had spoken to Dr. Ghiam about it many times and finally decided to take the plunge this past fall. He did not pressure me at all. He was very up front about and spoke to me frequently throughout the entire process. I was really nervous about making the final decision so this really helped. The whole thing took several weeks but is by far the best dental decision I have made. I’ve been embarrassed to smile for years and now I get compliments all the time, from strangers even that I have “pretty teeth”. He made my teeth look natural too, like they were supposed to from the beginning. PS Kate is a great hygienist! AND – Fabi and Dr Ghiams wife at the front desk are also great! Dr Ghiam is a real Porcelain Veneers specialist, don’t get fooled by every dentist who says they’re a cosmetic dentist or can do Veneers. I had my Veneers done twice by dentists who claimed they were cosmetic dentists. Dr Ghiam is the only one who actually listened to me and understands what smile was right for me. He designed the Porcelain Veneers in wax before we even began to make sure I liked how they look. The color and quality is perfect. They really look like my teeth and match my face. If you’re thinking about Porcelain veneers don’t try to find the cheapest ones you’ll regret it. Dr Ghiam is amaizing I highly recommend him!

Dr.Ghiam spent about 45 min after the cleaning, looking at my X-rays with me, and explaining what it all means. I’m someone who likes to understand what is going on, and he used a special camera in my mouth to show me exactly what we were looking at in the X-rays. He was able to thoroughly explain what we were looking at, what problems I needed to address, and what areas could be left alone. Most dentists I have been to don’t take the time to do this! Additionally, he worked in a timely manner, his staff was friendly, and making appointments was super easy

I had a great experience at my most recent visit to the LA Smiles Dental Spa. The office was very clean and everyone was very friendly. I went for a teeth cleaning and my hygienist, Kate, did a very thorough job but had such a soft touch that I didn’t experience any pain. Dr. Ghiam is a dentist with great integrity! I had a front tooth that another dentist had put bonding over a while back. It was time to have it fixed and other dentists that I had been to said that I would need a veneer. I wouldn’t let just anyone do a front veneer, so I looked at the work of every cosmetic dentist on Yelp in the LA area. Dr. Ghiam’s work was definitely the best in all of LA (the photos speak for themselves). So I made an appointment to go and see him. Dr. Ghiam was actually able to save my natural tooth instead of doing a veneer like all the other dentists had recommended. I really appreciated his drive to keep the natural tooth and his expertise to make it look as beautiful as he did. Dr. Ghiam and his staff are super kind and down-to-Earth and I highly recommend their services. My hygienist at my regular dentist even asked for information on who fixed my tooth and she’s been in the industry for 20 years!

La Smiles is a wonderful dental office. I was referred there by my friend who had some veneers done there and they looked incredible. I just had an appointment there and they were extremely accommodating from beginning to end. Fabiola took care of all of my insurance stuff and everything was already verified before I got there. I probably only waited for a couple of minutes. I saw Dr Joshua Ghiam for my annual check up. They took digital x rays and everything was right there on the screen. Dr Ghiam went though everything with me in detail. I could tell he really cares about his patients well being. He spent extra time taking photos of the inside of my mouth as well. I take excellent care of my teeth and have never had or needed any dental work, but I do grind my teeth at night and that was the only thing Dr Ghiam recommended I get fitted for and use. I know I could trust him, he didn’t try to make me do anything extra like previous dentists I have been to. After the exam, the hygienist Dean gave me an excellent cleaning. This whole experience has been so satisfying and I will definitely be a patient for life!

I highly recommend Doctor Joshua Ghiam and his staff. He is the best dentist in West Hollywood. I have been seeing him for a few years now and I will continue to see him. His staff greets me with a friendly smile and I never wait more than 5 minutes before I am seen. Dr. Ghiam is extremely down to earth and spends the time needed to go through any treatment or any questions I have in detail. I have had veneers done on all my front teeth and had a few silver fillings that we cracked replaced, his injections were painless and he explained everything along the way. In its place were composite resin splints and chipped jagged teeth. I looked like a Great White. I scared small children. Dr. Ghiam gave me back my smile. Dr. Ghiam and his team analyzed my damage and crafted the best plan to repair it. And he made me feel like I was a partner in every decision every step of the way. I made an appointment online and was scheduled within a few days. I am a very busy UCLA student and this is extremely convenient. They take make insurance which is huge being that I am on tight budget. Fabiola in the front explained everything to me in detail and how my co pay and deductible works. I saw Betty for my cleaning. She was so gentle and diligent, and even went over hot brush and floss. I then saw Dr Ghiam for my check up. He went though my x rays with me on modern digital screen. I have these white spots on my teeth that a previous dentist have always wanted to cover up with veneers. Dr Ghiam recommended I first try a treatment with a special paste, which reduced my white spots drastically. He is an extremely conservative and ethical doctor and I appreciate that. I will see him over the course of six to monitor my progress. The whole La Smiles team is fantastic, superior customer service

First of all Dr Ghiam is the teeth God, his attention to detail is out of this world. From day one he has been the kindest and most compassionate doctors I’ve ever met. He listens and only gives the best attention to his patients. He always put his patients safety and comfort first. If I make the slightest change in my face he will stop and ask me if I’m hurt or feeling any discomfort. I really appreciated that. (Btw I felt no pain) His staff is just as sweet and caring. Yesterday I experienced the most incredible dental visit! Did I actually say that?!!! Dr. Ghiam is not only extremely honest and ethical, he has an eye for aesthetic beauty that is obvious from the moment you step into his office. Everything is refined and every detail is thoughtfully discerned. I’m a aesthetic freak and an award winning interior designer, I was blown away! I had the best porcelain veneers 10 years ago by the premier New York cosmetic dentist, Dr Rothstein. Unfortunately some bad things happened to my front tooth …it was hit by a full water bottle. When Dr Ghiam examined my mouth, I could tell from his observations, he knew precisely how to restore my previously perfect smile in a conservative yet effective way! The before and afters of Dr. Ghiams’, patients speak for themselves. I believe I have found the best cosmetic dentist in Los Angeles. Run don’t walk to him to get your smile perfect for 2017! He was extremely sweet and his assistants were all lovely. I was referred to Dr Ghiam by my cousin when I had a huge infection. The side of my face was swollen and I really needed help. Dr Ghiam immediately saw me and explained to me what has happened. I had a root canal done years ago which had gotten reinfected. Dr Ghiam called in a favor and had a root canal specialist arrange to redo my root canal. After the root canal was redone I saw Dr Ghiam to replace the faulty crown which has leaked and cause the reinfection to begin with. My new crown looks so natural and life like that I can’t believe this tooth has been through so much. If anyone has ever had dental pain they know what I am talking about. The fact that Dr Ghiam was able to see me right away was priceless. He runs a high quality practice and I was able to contact the doctor even after hours which is priceless. I hate to say this but I was your typical “I hate the dentist” person but this has definitely changed it for me he is extremely gentle, caring and pays attention to detaiI. He not only made sure I was doing okay throughout every procedure but took the time to call and follow up with me. I am so lucky to have found Dr.Ghiam and his staff and thanks to them I am on my way to have the perfect smile I’ve always wanted. They have definitely set the bar high and I don’t think anyone can top this! Since coming to him I have not stopped talking to everyone about how amazing my whole experience has been you can tell everyone here loves what they do and that definitely reflects on their work. Dr. Giahm was very nice to me and helped guide me to the correct practice which could fit my budget.
