My whole family are long time patients of Dr.Scott Emalfarb. It is difficult to describe how fortunate and happy I am to be a patient of Scott. The dental care and concern for the patient is unsurpassed. Scott is extremely kind and considerate and makes sure the patients needs are met. He is a rare breed of dedicated practitioners where his patients best interests are his primary concern. Very affordable and reasonable services, make return visits a pleasure. The staff is attentive personable, and compassionate. A full service office with an experienced oral surgeon on staff. I strongly recommend. Barry Bass

I love my dentist! Dr. Emalfarb is the best…he has been my dentist for almost 10 years now and I owe my pretty/healthy smile to him.  He always tells me what i need and why…he doesn’t push anything but helps you understand why the dental work is needed.  He has a great staff that is helpful, kind, and full of energy. His hygienist, Jen, is awesome!  The positive energy at this office makes it a really comfortable experience and i feel like they’re really good at what they do.   I always tell my family and friends to come here when they need a dentist, cuz they’re the best!

Friendly, comforting, very good at virtually eliminating all pain. Receptive to my questions …. They all work great as a team as well …. Stellar service! I’m afraid of pain and they really were patient with me and helped me thru it …. True professionals! Dr. Emalfarb is kind and knowledgeable …. Their technology is great for showing you large images of your teeth, so you know what you have going on.

I had been having a lot of trouble with a loose crown that was causing a lot of pain and discomfort for a few weeks. I had gone to see a couple other dentists who either couldn’t help or didn’t want to help. Finally, I called Lakeview Dental and got in to see Dr. Emalfarb right away who quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. The dentist was friendly, knowledgeable and understanding of the discomfort I was in. The office staff were great too! My only regret was that I didn’t find this place sooner! I’ve been coming to Dr. Emalfarb since I moved to Chicago in 2005 and I don’t plan on switching any time soon! Everyone in the office is so kind- from the front desk staff to the hygienists to the doctors! They take care to make sure I’m comfortable, they keep my teeth & gums in great shape and they have an online system that allows you to confirm your appointments without even answering your phone! I read the other comments about pricing and I’m not 100% certain about that as I’ve always had insurance when I’ve gotten my cleanings, but I will say that they found a way for me to get 4 cleanings a year on my insurance plan, which I think is excellent!

I came to Dr. Emalfarb after breaking my front tooth 4 years ago. It was a traumatic experience and I needed a solution with a good cosmetic dentist…and fast. He isn’t just good, he’s amazing. My only qualm was that I had to go to the lab where my crown was made in the suburbs and being a city gal, I don’t have a car. It was a hassle but well worth it. I’ve had some cavities filled and some cleanings after not having been to the dentist for about 8 years until the front tooth incident. They do great work here. The girls at the front desk are always pleasant and good about calling when there are cancellations to see if you want to come in early. All in all, great experiences. Don’t listen to the few bad reviews!

When I first went to Lakeview Dental Associates about three years ago, some of my teeth were in pretty bad shape because of gum disease. They ached all the time and I was afraid I was going to lose them. But thanks to Dr. Emalfarb, that didn’t happen. He scheduled a simple procedure to repair some of the bone loss and set me up on a regular cleaning and evaluation schedule. My teeth improved so much that I was able to straighten them with Invisalign! Now my teeth are healthier, straighter and whiter than they have been in years. Dr. Emalfarb is an excellent dentist. Jennifer, the dental hygienist is fantastic and makes getting a teeth-cleaning easy. Everyone in the office is friendly. I haven’t had a single problem since I’ve been going there. I don’t have dental insurance, so pay for everything out-of-pocket and the prices seem reasonable to me. I’m really glad I found Lakeview Dental Associates.

This place is the best! Dr. E is amazing…just an all-around great guy who is great at what he does. I came across this practice by accident (I thought I was calling another place with a similar name), but it was the best mistake ever. I had to have some pretty extensive work done and he made the experience completely painless. Since then, I’ve been back for multiple cleanings by the hygienist Jennifer who makes it feel more like a trip to the spa with a friend, than a trip to the dentist. She’s incredibly thorough and knowledgable…and so fun to hang out with. And the front desk team is amazing too! They will not let you forget that it’s time for your cleaning…which I greatly appreciate! In a huge city where it’s a challenge to find medical practitioners you can trust, it’s refreshing to have finally found a practice that truly cares and values patient relationships.

Dr Emalfarb was great! It was my first time to the dentist in about 2 years. I went because I felt a cavity. When I arrived, the front office staff was very welcoming and friendly. I was taken back to the rooms and work began for the initial exam. X-rays and pictures were taken for my file. The technician was great. Very nice and friendly and gentle. The doctor came in and we discussed what would need to be done throughout. He was very detailed in letting me know what work was needed and what took precedence. He went over what insurance would cover in detail and what all my options were. Very upfront and open about money and insurance questions. Turn out a root canal was needed. Got in a day later to get started. He was extremely good about making sure I was in 0 pain the whole time. He is big on no pain at all. Which is awesome! It was a painless procedure that went smoothly. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone! After my first visit I can say that I like him more than my family dentist of 26 years. Awesome staff! Awesome doctors! No pain! What more could you ask for in a dentist? Go see them!
