I have been going to Lakewood Smiles for about a year and a half now. I have not been happy with the last few dentists I have been to, and being a nervous dental patient, I put off finding a new one. A really old gold crown falling off a tooth forced me to start looking for a new dentist. When I saw nothing but 5 stars on all the Yelp reviews, I felt I had found my new dentist. I checked my insurance, and they took it. YAY. I called them that day. They were able to get me in right away. Their name – Lakewood Smiles – is perfect. Dr. William was amazing. I no longer felt I had found my new dentist, I knew I had. I needed to have the tooth pulled; she was caring and gentle. I needed to have some additional work done on two other teeth, she was great. The entire staff is wonderful. Daniel patiently explains treatment plans and insurance. Myra is great assisting Dr. William, making sure I am comfortable. My last visit a few days ago for my 6 month cleaning and check up, I met Dr. Girgis and Sharon, who are new to the practice. I had an old filling that had deteriorated and the tooth had a bit of decay. Dr. Girgis was wonderful with the drilling and setting in the new filling. It is on the gum line in the front, I cannot see it all! Sharon was patient and on the mark with the xrays. I am so happy I found Lakewood Smiles. Take some time and read the reviews. Trust me, everything everyone has said, I say, “Ditto!” Lakewood Smiles — Dr. William, Dr. Girgis, Daniel, Myra, Sharon, you are all great. Thank you. I highly recommend Dr. William and Lakewood Smiles. For most of my life I had a large gap in between my two front teeth. Some people said it added character, others said it was good luck, my family said it was trademark… however, I just didn’t like it. I wanted to change it for most of my childhood and all of my adulthood. I saw many orthodontists and many said it either couldn’t be done or would have to be done at very high cost at a minimum of 2 years. Those were traditional braces – Invisalign would of course cost even more. I didn’t have that kind of money or time. I was really discouraged and began to give up on the idea of braces… UNTIL I went to see Dr. Nancy William and she explained to me that she offers a service called 6-Month Smiles, which is basically short-term cosmetic braces that match the color of your teeth (so most people won’t even notice you are wearing them). They were a very reasonable price compared to traditional braces and were only expected to take around 6 months so I decided to go for it. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. William and the care she put into my teeth. As if all of that is not enough, Dr. William also has an incredibly warm and endearing personality – she makes you feel like a friend and not just a patient. I LOVE my new smile and I owe it to Dr. William and Lakewood Smiles!

I am both thrilled and amazed….just goes to show that sometimes the very thing you are looking for is right there in front of you. This Dental practice is incredible! We decided to try it as it is literally only blocks from our home and we liked the fact that Dr. William is the only dentist in this practice, so when you make your appointment with her, it is her whom you receive. She is delightful as is her entire staff. Warm, friendly, patient, and sincere. There is no rushing or panicking, the Doctor takes her time with you, is very gentle but also very confident. I’m not usually one to write reviews, but the care I recieved at Lakewood smiles is definitely something to brag about! With half of my front tooth broken off and without a regular dentist I was facing a dental emergency. Based off a family friends recommendation I called Lakewood smiles. Although they were closed the automated message directed me to dr. Williams. I explained my desperation and the urgency of my situation as I had to have this fixed before work that same afternoon. Although she had a book schedule she was able to fit me in. When I arrived at the dental office the environment and staff were warm and inviting. Despite having a booked schedule I had the staffs support and Care from the minute I walked in the door (It was truly a VIP experience). During the procedure Dr Williams made me feel comfortable and educated me on the process along the way. This took away the anxiety I I have experienced with other dentist in the past.At the end my tooth looked and felt better than before. The quality of care supersedes others. I highly recommend Lakewood smiles!!!!

Hands down the best dentist that I have ever visited and I have just switched over from my other dentist of 10+ years. Dr. William was completely thorough in her explanation of what’s going on with my teeth and possible causes and best courses of treatment. I came in for a basic cleaning and Dr. William noticed that I might need a root canal, and sure enough, I called 2 weeks later. This dental office is by far the best I have ever been to! As someone who is terrified of getting dental work done, I can definitely say this was the easiest and most comfortable experience I have ever had. I was fortunate enough to have both dentists check my teeth out, Dr. Williams and the newest dentist, Dr. Abraam Girgis. Dr. Girgis was so gentle and took his time examining and cleaning my teeth. He walked me through the process since he sensed that I was a little bit nervous, and consistently checked in to see how I was doing. We have since moved from Lakewood and I miss Dr. William and her staff. She is excellent! I took my children to Lakewood Smiles too and they loved her. I had questions with some work that a pediatric dentist wanted to do on my son and when I brought my son in to her she said that it wasn’t necessary, it was in a tooth that would fall out anyway. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The Best! They have Dental Vibe! I had not been to a dentist in 8 plus years because the pain of getting my teeth cleaned was not worth it and the shot they give you was even worse. Then I heard about Dental Vibe. After researching for a long time I came upon this dental office because they use Dental Vibe. What is Dental Vibe? It is this thing that vibrates while you get the pain numbing shot and it makes it so you do not feel a thing. I was not afraid of the needle, I was afraid of the pain the needle caused. What a great experience. I had 2 cavities filled and one quadrant cleaned. With the dental vibe I would rate my pain level a 1 out of 10. My previous level is a 12 out of 10. Dr. Williams and the front staff is very pleasant and accommodating.. Can’t say enough! I am going back to get 2 more cavities filled and the rest of my quadrants cleaned

Like many, dentists have been my demise and I have avoided visiting them often due to billing gimmicks and dentists who just put in minimal effort. I was experiencing teeth pain and had a friend refer me here. I checked the yelp reviews and was sold to give it a shot. “Wow” this place has exceeded my expectations. Front desk is exceptionally helpful and friendly making starting and between visits easy. The techs were great and gentle, they made sure i felt comfortable at all times and really took their time during my cleaning. Dr. William was outstanding, she took her time to evaluate my x-rays, explain and converse with me about my teeth. During my cleaning she was very attentive and took her time thoroughly with my teeth. If you’ve been to a dentist before you know that this often isn’t the case. After treatment i was given a run down of recommendations and a goodie bag of products! Lastly this place is very clear and informative they’re are no gimmicks when it comes to billing, finances and that i’m beyond satisfied with my visit to Lakewood Smiles, the doctors and staff truly are the best around

I’m recently going through a situation where I have to switch dentists, and I was referred here by my future sister-in-law. I made my appt last week and she was able to see me today. From the moment I got there I was made to feel comfortable, and this is before anyone there knew who had referred me (long time friend of the dentist). The dental assistant was very easy going and friendly. I filled out all my paperwork, and when I realized I had not brought my toothbrush to clean up a bit beforehand, she gladly gave me a baggie of goodies with toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. I was so happy like a kid with her goodie bag, lol. I met Dr. William and she was warm and friendly from the get go. I went in for initial x-rays and exam/cleaning, but the cleaning will be done next appt because they took care of something I’d been wanting to take care of for over 2 years. Long story short, I got braces put on in TJ and I didn’t like the work they were doing. I discontinued going there and started going to a dentist in Bellflower. I hesitated on whether I wanted braces or not, but just recently asked them if they could remove my brackets (mind you, no wire or bands have been on them for 2+ years) and they told me I needed a release form from the dentist who put them on to “pass over orthodontic services” in a sense. But this wasn’t to continue orthodontic work, and they weren’t terminating any orthodontic work. I just wanted to remove brackets that were simply not doing ANYTHING! In my first appt with Dr. William, I was able to get what I wanted. I am so grateful to her for that. She is amazing and understanding. I’m so happy her office takes my insurance. I just wish my insurance would cover orthodontic work to consider their 6-month smile treatment. Anyway, if you’re looking for a dentist in the area, look no further! I was overdue for a dental checkup and cleaning. I happened to see an advertisement for Lakewood Smiles in the Lakewood Community News publication that Lakewood and some Long Beach residents receive about once a month. Once I discovered how close this dental office was to my home (within walking distance), I immediately booked an appointment for the following week. This dental office is located on the fourth floor of the medical/professional building on Clark Avenue next door to the post office. Upon entering the office, I was greeted warmly by the lady sitting at the front desk, who asked me to fill out a couple pages of paperwork since I was a new patient. The doctor was still attending to another patient, so I waited for a short while before I was seen by the dental assistant to get my x-rays taken. The assistant was nice enough to raise the dental chair so that I could see outside the window and get a commanding view of Lakewood Center and Restaurant Row. 😀 Once all my x-rays were taken, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Nancy William, who has a very friendly and calming chairside manner. Dr. William took the time to show me the results of my x-rays and I’m happy to report that my teeth and all the supporting bones and gums are still in very good shape! 🙂 All I needed was a thorough cleaning, which she proceeded to do. Once I was all done, the assistant scheduled me for my next cleaning in six months, which would make it the first week of May, 2013. Overall, I was quite impressed with Dr. William and her staff at Lakewood Smiles. The office is very well run and organized and everyone there is very warm, friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this facility for anyone looking for a new dentist

I was pretty nervous about going to the dentist after having gone YEARS without a checkup but Dr. Williams, along with the rest of the staff, made it as pleasant as an experience at the dentist can be 😀 They work with you & make you feel not only comfortable but like an actual person, not just a patient. As a matter of fact, my mom, brother, and sister go to Lakewood Smiles too! I first went in a little over a month ago and major issues (deep cleaning & wisdom teeth extraction) have already been taken care of! I feel the best about my teeth that I have in years. Oh! And you wanna know one of the BEST parts. You’re not sitting in the waiting room for an hour! I don’t even have time to pick up a magazine most of the time. We are a private, Integrative dental boutique practice in Lakewood that specializes safe mercury (silver) filling removal. We also specialize in sleep and breathing in children and adults. We work very well with patients with high anxiety, dental fears and phobias. Dr. William and Dr. Girgis are a sister and brother team committed to providing exceptional dental care in their hometown of Lakewood.
