From the moment I entered the office the environment was warm and cordial, and the conversation was friendly making it a comfortable experience. Larry was very sensitive to my needs, and showed an understanding of my situation while he listened. He sounded very knowledgeable and competent giving me confidence to move forward. After performing the first part of my cosmetic surgery that he prescribed, cleaning up the old mess, and putting my temporaries over my implant posts while we wait for them to heal, I feel he did a fine job. They look great, and are holding up well. He has informed me all along the way as to what will transpire, what to expect, and taken special care to make sure I understand and am comfortable with everything. I especially like his follow up calls checking to see if things are feeling OK.

Dr. Larry Picard and staff are the most caring people I know. I’ve been seeking dental treatment from Dr. Picard for approximately 21 years. I’ve kept him as my dentist because of his excellent work and superb ethic practice. He and his staff are sensitive to their patient’s needs and concerns. They strive, although effortlessly, to have their patients feel with the upmost comfortable feeling to successfully gain the trust and confidence from the patient, and that all treatment is done with care and efficiency. Not only does Dr. Picard and Staff make you feel as if you are part of a family, but they also educate you and explain procedures very well so, that at the end of your pleasant visit, you leave the office with the understanding of what was done and what you need (Preventive Care). I’ve been happy with all my dental results, from having crowns to Invisalign with his new technique called Bioclear, which is closing gaps on front teeth. I am very happy with my results and my dazzling white smile. THANK YOU DR. PICARD AND STAFF! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Picard’s since 1996. Prior to that, I hadn’t been to a dentist in about 10 years. I had a serious phobia of dentists because of ones I had seen as a child. Dr. Picard made me feel at ease and ready to experience going to the dentist again. Needless to say, I needed a lot of work done since I hadn’t been to the dentist in so long. Because of Dr. Picard, I now go to the dentist regularly and am very happy with the long-lasting results.

I have been to a few dentists through the years but this was truly the best experience I have ever had. Dr larry on down do everything to make you comfortable in a usually uncomfortable process. Not only that but the actual denistry was unbelievable. The new crowns fit perfectly like they were the original teeth. I am sending my whole family to them and every friend I can!

Dr. Picard has been my dentist for 16 years! Can’t believe has been so long. Love going there I know he and his wonderful and knowable staff will do the best for keeping my teeth healthy and if I don’t have anything wrong they just do my cleaning and that’s it. Ahh! and he has this camera that he can show inside your mouth so you can see what has to be done. I also like the healthy snacks and coffee they have at the waiting room. Always a pleasure to go to my dentist.!

It’s such a great feeling to find a dentist you like and trust. I chose Dr. Picard at the recommendation of a friend, who had extensive work done on his teeth, over the course of several months, and was very happy with the results. I went in because I was overdue for a checkup and one of my teeth felt slightly sensitive. Turns out, I needed two crowns. My experience was similar to my friend’s: Dr. Picard and his staff put patients first every step of the way – it’s easy to make appointments, you’ll get reminders prior to the day and there’s flexibility if you are unable to make an appointment. The office has a relaxing vibe and the waiting room is stocked with water, fruit, cookies and coffee. The fitting for my temporary crown was quick and efficient, and the permanent crown fit perfectly. Dr. Picard and his assistant were extremely gentle on my teeth – which is surprisingly uncommon. (I wasn’t sitting in the chair, wincing and white-knuckled, trying to signal pain to an oblivious practitioner!) Dr. Picard takes a conservative approach – prioritizing what needs the most attention, what can wait and letting you determine the course of treatment as much as possible. There was no hard sell, no pressure, no pushing of pricey cosmetic procedures. Additionally, I was able to spread out the payment rather than having to drop a chunk of money all at once. I would highly recommend this practice. Seeing a dentist can feel like a chore, but Dr. Picard and his team make taking care of your teeth a stress-free experience.

I was with the same Dentist for over 20 yrs and I was so pleasantly surprised at from the moment I stepped into Dr Picard”s office I knew I found the right place which I didn’t think was going to be soo easy. The Staff is so friendly and then when I met Dr Picard I just knew I was in good hands! He is very personable, you feel comfortable immediately in his care. He is very knowledgable and is a really good listener which is very important to me. He replaced a filling for me and was fast and painless. He also had some suggestions with options to make my teeth look better. Dr Picard is definitely going to be my new Dentist! I cannot say enough good things about him.

Dr. Picard is not only a fantastic dentist, he’s really a great guy. He is very gentle and caring and treats every patient as he would a close friend or family member. His staff is top notch and his office is modern and up to date on all of the latest technology. If you are looking for a dentist in the west LA area this is the place!

Dr. Picard has been my dentist for close to ten years now and I can’t say enough positive things about him.  So many people dread the whole dental experience and I have to say that he has helped me get over that feeling.  He provides excellent preventative care and gently examines and cleans my teeth with precision and careful consideration.  My daughter is four years old and just started seeing him, too.  Dr. Picard’s amazing care extends to all ages because she happily opened her mouth for him to examine her!

Dr. Picard was highly recommended by an oral surgeon we know and did extensive work  to restore my soda damaged teeth.  He was thorough in his evaluation and gave an excellent summary of what dental procedures were warranted.  Over the many weeks it took to restore my teeth with veneers and composites, Dr. Picard was skillful, professional, and has a well honed artistic talent for achieving an excellent cosmetic result while restoring the integrity of my teeth. He revisits his work on subsequent visits to ensure that an absolutely perfect result has been achieved and that both he and I are very satisfied.  He and his staff are down-to-earth friendly, punctual, and this well equipped practice is relaxed and beautiful in appearance.  It is a pleasure to be there and a pleasure to smile again, thanks to Dr. Picard.

Dr. Picard is by far one of the best dentist I have ever met. I want to start of by saying that I am a total dental phobic. As a child I was extremely scared to go to a dentist. After meeting Dr. Picard and his amazing staff I have never felt so comfortable going to a dentist. He has a gentle touch and very knowledgeable with new technology. Not to say he has a great personality. All my fillings feel great. Also, I had a Invisalign completed and couldn’t be happier with my smile. I’ve been coming to his office for many years and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Picard has been my dentist for 25 years! He makes me laugh and smile 🙂 I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my mouth & teeth! Ten years ago my insurance changed and I tried another dentist, but I walked out b/c the equipment was old and assistants were bad! Insurance or not I stay with Larry he’s the best!

Dr. Larry Picard has such an amazing full focus and caring dentistry. His Staff know all the patients by Name and really cares about their well being. When you first walk in, you feel as it is a second home with family, Dr Larry Picard and the staff takes their time in getting to know YOU as a person and what your concern are. Many years ago when I moved to West Los Angeles, I made an appointment because I had a tooth ache that had bother me for several days. I probably waited no more than 5 mins from when I opened the door (as in the past with other doctor visits I waited a minimum of 25 min.) Dr. Picard himself introduced himself and took me in and talked to me. One of the things I liked most is that they have great technology, Great smile, make the procedure as smooth as feather and very sincere that really helped to get my nerves down. When I was done with my procedure, the front desk girls made sure I had a next appt and always had a smile and specially very friendly atmosphere. It has been 7 years and I now live and Long Beach and refuse to go elsewhere. My wife, family and friends will drive an extra mile to visit Dr. Picard and his staff. That’s why I will recommend this Dental Care to anyone that I know, GUARANTEE great service and caring dentist.

Dr. Picard is truly wonderful! My story…Unfortunately on a weekend I bit a fork and cracked a front tooth. Both Dr. Picard and his staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, professional and kind group of individuals. I’m indebted to them. The work he/they did was simply beautiful. Thank you, Dr. Picard! Did I mention that I’d just moved to Santa Monica and did not have a dentist? Found him here on Yelp!

Dr. Picard is hands down the best dentist in Los Angeles. I’ve been a patient of his for more than 20 years. I’m originally from England, which means my teeth are made of something similar to chalk. Added to which, they are incredibly small teeth. Almost toddler sized. Dr. Picard has done the most amazing job putting tiny crowns on my molars, restoring my cracked and crumbling chalk teeth and when I finally decided I didn’t want to look like Austin Powers, he gave me the most beautiful and natural looking veneers you have ever seen. He’s a very skilled dentist with an amazing staff who always make you feel welcome and at home. For those of you who are scared of the dentist – don’t be. Make an appointment with Dr. Picard. He will not hurt you. Everything is pain free! I can not recommend him enough!

I’ve been a patient of Dr Picard for over 12 years now and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a dentist. He is the best dentist! I had some work done today and i was very nervous as usual, but doctor Picard made it so easy and pain free and with the great result. Thank you doctor for my beaatiful and healthy teeth.

I hate going to the dentist.  BUT Dr. Picard and his staff make the experience fun and almost pleasant,  I have been seeing Dr. Picard for many years, and I can’t  even think of going somewhere else. (I live in the San Fernando Valley and have to fight the 405 feeway traffic to get to his office.  I think that shows how much I like the doctor and his VERY wonderful staff!).  They are truly wonderful people and do an excellent job in caring for your mouth and teeth.

I have never written a review before, I’m the type that brings cookies or fruit to my doctors’ offices as a way to say thank you but I feel compelled to write about my experience with Dr. Picard and to his staff whom over the years have become great friends. I have been a patient of Dr. Picard since he graduated from dental school when traffic on the freeway was somewhat manageable and it didn’t take you hours to get to your dentist. Times have changed, more people have moved to LA. Dr. Picard has relocated his practices and as many times as I have said to myself out loud why don’t you find a dentist closer? The answer has remained the same all these years “Dr. Picard has a gentle touch, a great smell and he cares about his patients health and well-being. He is a great dentist with an attentive staff “where else will I find this”. Not to mention the fact that my entire family uses them or many of my friends. On a recent business trip to New York I had an emergency root canal. It came on overnight. My boyfriend called Dr. Picard in the middle of the night, the pain was severe and the doctor called in prescriptions to a 24-hour pharmacist. The next day was referred by a colleague. At my request he called Dr. Picard and went over the diagnosis and treatment. I was scared and in pain and needed Dr. Picard reassurance that I was in good hands. Upon my return home Dr. Picard insisted that I come to his office on a Sunday because I was swollen and in pain several days after the procedure. I listened and it turned out an infection had set in. It wasn’t pretty. I am grateful for Dr. Picard for putting his patients first in time of need. Thank you Doc, you’re the best! -Valeria C

Dr. Picard and his staff are patient, kind and helpful. I have never enjoyed going to the dentist, but they make it a pleasant experience. I had dental erosion at 23, which isn’t common, but Larry helped me to quickly take care of the problem and his staff continue to make sure I’m all set up so my teeth continue to be healthy. He was recommended to me by a friend and  I would recommend him to anyone as well!!

This visit was just amazing. I love getting my dental cleanings done by Alison. I always enjoy a cup of Tea after my appointment since they have a great selection of teas. I feel just like if I was at home since the whole staff is friendly and they always treat you like family. I highly recommend dr Picard since he is just the best.

Dr. Larry Picard has been my dentist and friend since 2006 and is the best dentist I have ever had. Larry is a dedicated professional dentist who stays up to date with new treatments and continues to master his calling. Not only is his service the best, but the staff; Cecilia, Maribel, Lucy, and Marisol, make you feel like you’re at home. They are friendly, have a great sense of humor and are courteous at all times. Appointments are never an issue for me as they work around my schedule. The brand new office is located in the great city of West Los Angeles
