Dr. Laura, as patients are encouraged call her, has been my dentist since 2008 and I wouldn’t dream of seeing another dentist. She’s masterfully proficient at all of the technical components you expect from your dentist – it’s what she does above and beyond that, that matters most. I moved away from the area briefly and when I first visited with her again, I was so happy to see her I cried and her response was to give me a really warm hug. What dentist does that? I knew I needed a lot of pretty serious reparative work and she spent a great deal of time helping me understand a potential plan going forward and the associated costs. She was more than willing to work with me to create goals and a schedule that kept my comfort and budgetary issues in mind. We all know that dental work isn’t a beach party, but there’s just something really special about Dr. Laura. You don’t dread the appointment and you feel you’ve been treated kindly when you leave. I would be remiss not to complement the office support system – they are all amazing. Special shout out to Kate and Debbie for keeping me on track. Stacey is the bestest ever hygienist and Rhonda is a dream as Dr. Laura’s right-hand. Another important benefit to seeing Dr. Laura is if you need treatment outside her periphery, she refers you immediately to other doctors in quite close proximity, so your support system remains tightly connected (X-ray sharing, etc.). The negative review noted above reads to me like a problematic hygiene cleaning, not primary dental work performed by Dr. Laura. I wish that author would clear that up.

Love, Love, Love her, the best dentist by far. Dr Whittenauer is not only an amazing dentist but an amazing person. She’s calm, nice, patient and treats you like your her only client and she genuinely cares about your well being. I would not only recommend her but I think anyone who does not go to her is crazy. I can not write enough nice things about her and if I could would give her a billion star rating. She is the very best!!!!!

A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
For over 25 years, Dr. Laura Wittenauer has practiced esthetic and restorative dentistry. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, she established her private practice in Lawrence, Kansas. In 2003, Dr. Laura and her family relocated to southern California. The focus of her practice is on building relationships with her patients by taking the time to listen and educate them on achieving optimum oral health. One of the most rewarding aspects of Dr. Laura’s practice is caring for patients with disabilities. Dr. Laura is also an educator. She teaches dentists as a senior facutly member at the Dawson Academy located in St. Petersburg, Florida and in Anaheim, California. She is a member of the California Dental Association Board of Managers. Dr. Laura is also a member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr. Laura and her husband Rick who is an endodontist have two children. They enjoy participating in Cross Fit workouts, running, cooking and attending USC sporting events.
