I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bass’ for over a decade, ever since he was part of the practice at Van Madison Brown DDS. He’s now started his own practice, with a brand new office on Park Ave (near Grand Central). He has done amazing work on my teeth that has held up great over the years (fillings, root canal, a couple of crowns), and is knowledgeable, patient, and down-to-earth. The procedures were never rushed or painful, and I always feel like I’m in good hands. Nor does he ever ‘upsell’ you with unnecessary work or more expensive fixtures – you’re given options and carefully explained the features of each so you can decide what’s right for you. This was my first time to the new office and I was warmly welcomed back by the friendly staff: Monica the receptionist, and Erica the dental hygienist, who really took the time to explain/demonstrate anything to me that I didn’t understand, and provided a thorough yet gentle(!) cleaning. The office itself is sparkling, contemporary, and well-equipped, including a new machine that I’m told draws away air molecules for Covid health & safety. When I arrived for check-in, I also had my temperature taken and was given hand sanitizer. I’ve been very pleased with the level of service I’ve received from Dr. Bass over the years and am equally impressed with his lovely new office and staff. Since there isn’t yet a review on here, I’d like to be the first to highly recommend them!

Yup. I did it. I gave 5 stars to a dentist. I must say in all of my years of going to the dentist, this was by far the most pleasurable experience I’ve ever had. Hands down. Everyone was respectful and courteous from the receptionist to the techs to Dr. Bass, my dentist. I was put in a small room to have my teeth cleaned and the nice woman Irina (sp?) (who isn’t Russian, She’s from a country near Russia.) was really quick and effecient, getting right to things. I was never in any pain. I was then put into a second room for xrays. I have to say that I hate getting xrays because even now with the technology the bitewings always cut in my mouth. Not this time, whatever camera thing they used was so small and I experienced no discomfort. After the xrays Dr. Bass came in to talk to me about my problems, which were few. I loved the effeciency of things and the wait time was so minimal. You were always doing something instead of waitng 45 minutes in a room alone. For those that need insurance, try Healthplex, almost everything is included with this plan and it’s really affordable. Oh, also this office takes it!!

My co-worker recommended this office. I scheduled my appointment during my lunch since the office is three blocks from where I work. My 1st appointment was for a cleaning which I needed very badly. My hygienist was a very nice Russian lady. I don’t quite remember her name. I thought the cleaning was very thorough, she explained what she was doing and what can I do to make improvements. She was quite chatty and made me feel really comfortable. She definitely had a gentle touch that I was looking for. I’ll be seeing her again in the future. Overall very pleased with the office and the staff.

Dr. Bass recently put in two temporary crowns after I had lost one upper front tooth in a Granny Smith apple and so Dr. Bass extracted the neighboring front tooth. He did a masterful job, prodding and poking for an hour and a half while I kept my mouth open except to rinse a few times. He molded the temporary crowns right in front of me and then made sure they were a perfect fit. I am looking forward to the placement of permanent porcelain crowns soon. I have been going to this office for four years now and they’re awesome. The front desk staff are super sweet and call, text and email to remind you of appointments. The hygienist does an amazing job. Honestly, the cleaning can be slightly painful at points but my teeth get a deep cleaning! And the dentists are amazing. I highly recommend this office.

I recently went searching for a dentist for regular check-ups and to also fix a chip in one of my front teeth. I used my dentalsave discount plan and found them through their website and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the DR and all the staff. Dr. Bass was extremely personable and offered a great thorough consult. In addition, I had a great cleaning from I think, a Russian lady, who I didn’t understand much because she spoke a rather fast, she took her job seriously and probably gave me one of the best cleanings. A week later, I had to go back to fix my tooth and wow, i was so pleased with Dr. Bass’s work. He was extremely communicative and made me feel very comfortable, not too mention his work in fixing my tooth was awesome. He gave me my smile back which I often think can be the greatest gift you can offer someone. I am thinkin of getting veneers down the line(which I will be saving for) but I will say, I’m totally sold in wanting to go back to this office and Dr.B. I highly recommend this office and the staff and of course Dr. Bass. Thank you from the all of my heart for making my experience an inviting one.

I’ve been going to this office for 15 years, and despite moving further away from the city I always go back here for my dental work and make the commute in. The staff is always very personable, and appointments always on time. They make a notoriously unenjoyable experience (going to the dentist) enjoyable.

I love coming here, Dr. Bass and everyone else who works here is fantastic– the assistants, hygienists, & administrative staff are all great! I have not been to a better dentist before in my life. The cleanings are good, I trust Dr. Bass entirely, the information I am given about my dental health is very thorough and I never feel like my appointment is rushed. He has been able to take care of some issues that other dentists have ignored or created. I already actively recommend this place to everyone that I know and I will continue to do so.
