I recently made my 2nd and then 3rd visit before the Christmas holiday to see Dr. Lauren Mell and the care was absolutely the Best! Dr. Jack Manikowski runs a first rate dentist office. I use the Lincoln Park office and everyone makes me feel welcome and appreciated as a patient. Dr. Jack acknowledges every patient who comes in for their appointment. I like that. Deena, Practice Manager is always the first person I see when coming to the appointment and she is very efficient. Jackie, Dental Hygienist, cleaned my teeth and was very helpful on advising how to take care of my teeth between office visits. She always does an excellent job. Lindsay, Dental Assistant,assisted Dr. Mell on my first crown. The whole process was perfect and Dr. Mell and Lindsay really took excellent care of me. Dr. Mell explained the work and made sure I was comfortable and at ease. I look forward to my next appointment in the spring. Hooray for Lincoln Park Smiles! Jeff M.

I was about to begin major dental treatment in New York before I got a job transfer to Chicago. My periodontist referred me to a Chicago periodontist who referred me to Dr. Manikowski for my new teeth. At the start, I was comfortable with his skills because it was a “peer- reveiwed”, professional referral. Dr. Manikowski completely gave me a new smile…….front – to – back! Unfortunately, I had a lot of cavities early in life and my mouth was starting to feel like a living history of my life. In the past, I was not always lucky to have great dental treatment. Dr. Jack commented that if certain situations were handled differently then my current problems may not have been so severe. Nevertheless, I am smiling today because of his passionate approach to my dental care! He had a vision, gave me options and a timeline, and one year later, I’m done and completely satisfied!!! His attention to detail is spectacular and my smile is so natural and comfortable!!!! On a return visit to New York, my old peridontist even complimented his work! That’s enough for me! THANKS, DR. JACK!!!

I needed a dentist and my friend reccommended Dr. Jack. His staff is great! I love his hygienist! I really feel that his work in impeccable! Michelle (hygienist) is clearly dedicated and passionate about what she does. I’m 37 and at my ripe age still managed to pick up a few oral hygiene pionters that literally improved my gums. My last dentist told me I needed a “deep clean” which ran about $900. I was worried at my first visit with LIncoln Park SMiles (Dr. Jack) that this again be the case. Apparently, I was a borderline case. Both doctor and hygienist worked with me and after a thorough regular cleaning and my renewed efforts at home, when I went back in three months they said I was in pretty good shape! I feel like they definitely helped me! Then, Dr. Jack took care of my cavities. He was gentle, and I could tell he was really good at what he does! I felt like he was very careful to save as much of my teeth as possible and not drill indiscriminately. (There is definitely a “human factor” when removing cavity….) My teeth now look and feel GREAT! Hands down the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Whenever anyone is looking for a dentist, I am jumping up and down telling them to go to Lincoln Park Smiles. They’re over here doing impeccable work on teeth with amazing care from their hygienists (big ups to Nicole), easy conversational language from their doctors, and then offering to hang up my backpack and bike helmet like I’m at a gala or something!

I was referred to Dr. Jack by my wife. She had lots of great things to say about the facility and the staff as well. I went in for an evaluation of a clicking noise in my joy and also a hygienist appointment. The staff was very warm and welcoming the facility was extra clean easy parking and I had a great experience they really took the time to work on me the proper way. Dr. Jackie me two referrals and he also performed a deep cleaning on me that I really needed. I’m very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend!

I LOVE Lincoln Park Smiles. I have been going to Dr Jack for 14 years now.  I actually look forward to going for my cleanings because they do such a great job. Jackie, the hygienist, is thorough and explains everything she is doing. Dr Jack is amazing as well. I would put my smile in his hands any day. He will not let you leave his office unless you are completely satisfied with your visit. Dr Jack and his team are there 100% for you! You will NOT be disappointed!

Lincoln Park Smiles has been a godsend to me. I moved from Buffalo, New York and I needed a new dentist, I couldn’t pick a better place. I was originally a patient at another location downtown, and I went to see Dr. Jack for a second opinion about getting new crowns. After stepping foot into the office, and having his staff be so kind to me, there was really no question that I had to switch dentists. In short, I had some major issues going on with the crowns that I had gotten done previously at home, the craftsmanship and quality was not good (to put it mildly).  Dr. Jack was so wonderful and the result…the difference is night and day. I had two crowns done, and I know this year I am going back to get the second batch. In an odd way I felt betrayed by my old dentist for doing such poor work, Dr. Jack is a perfectionist, and the result speaks for itself.

My experience with Dr. Jack was unlike any other dental visit. He listened intently as I talked, wanting to genuinely get to know me not only as a patient but as a person. I initially made the appointment because I thought I had a cavity; turns out I was grinding my teeth at night which Jack explained in detail, offering alternatives to help solve the issue without having to purchase a mouth guard. Jackie, the dental hygienist, has cleaned my teeth twice. The way I can describe Jackie is kind, gentle and caring. She takes her time with her patients, explaining in detail the simple practice of flossing each day. She ensures your face stays clean during the cleaning, and is patient as you get comfortable or stop to chat with her. Other notes: During your visit you will hear laughter throughout the office, setting the environment as friendly, fun and enjoyable as you hear music playing overhead from artists such as Moby and the XX. The girls who run the front desk are sharp, answering questions about your insurance and copays. While you’re in the waiting area, you have access to wifi to get work done. Your jacket will be hung upon arrival, the restroom is chic and spotless. And if you have a full schedule such as myself, your appointment date will be emailed to you, with a text reminder sent to your phone. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my experience at Lincoln Park Smiles, I have recommended it to my friends and family members and I recommend it to the potential patients reading this review.

Dr Jack is personable, thorough, and always willing to walk you through the exam. Jackie the hygienist is fantastic. She is conversational, educational, and so sweet. I typically schedule morning appointments and the staff is welcoming and always on time. In-office operations are smooth whether you are a new patient or returning. Staff is pleasant and systems are always up to date. Highly recommend visiting Lincoln Park Smiles!

Are you looking for a great neighborhood dentist? Then give Dr. Jack a try. My first visit was more than 10 years ago for a whitening procedure since my dentist, at the time, didn’t do “britesmile”. My teeth never looked better! Sadly, I left Chicago shortly after that experience but have relocated back and decided to use Dr. Jack for a routine check-up and couldn’t be more pleased. Jackie’s cleaned my teeth twice in the last year and they were THE best teeth cleaning(s) I’ve ever had (and that’s saying a mouthful :)). Beyond cleaning, I’ve also had a few fillings replaced and again I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Jack goes out of his way to make sure his work makes you look better than when you walked in. While I agree with another reviewer that he isn’t the cheapest dentist, you will get a lot of value for your $$ as he has the latest equipment and well trained staff.
