Long Beach Total Dental Care is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. Dr. Pronstroller is the best dentist I have ever been to. She is very gentle, informative, and really cares about my teeth. I have always been very apprehensive about going to the dentist, not now, I can’t believe I’m saying this but I look forward to my next appointment. As far as the staff is concerned, very polite and professional. Lupe always greats me by my first name, she sends me a reminder for my next appointment and instructs me on what I need to do after a procedure. Its just always a very good experience and I would recommend anyone to try their services just once and see for yourself.

I’ve been coming here since I moved to Long Beach in 2003 and can’t believe I’ve waited this long to write a review. Dr. (Janice) Pronstroller is professional and warm at the same time. It’s is the perfect combination of personality to create a welcoming and safe environment for a place that most people dread. I have a huge fear of dentists (it’s really bad, I cry the whole time), but somehow Janice makes me look forward to coming for a visit. She has a great staff working with her. Lots of them are driven young women, which is awesome to see. Nataly at the front desk is a pleasure as well. She makes you feel like you’re talking to an old friend when booking your next appointment. She even sends personal emails following procedures to make sure everything is going as planned. They have instant credit options and take lots of insurance. Still very affordable even without. Don’t get me wrong, I still don’t want to go to the dentist on a weekly basis, but Janice and her staff sure make it easier when an appointment is necessary. The best thing about this place is that they really hep me deal with my fears. The noise bothers me a lot, so she offers movies (tons of options) or will put on the radio. (She suggested bringing headphones, which is a great idea!) They never make me feel bad for my nerves and anxiety, just help me work through it. I’m so grateful for this place!

This Dentistry is clean, kind, and interested in their customers. Dr. Pronstroller helps ease the anxious feelings I have every visit within a few minutes of me being there. She is always interested in how life is treating me. Plus, she is an expert in her field and it shows in her precision. Dr. Pronstroller and her staff are very friendly and professional.This is the only office that offered to do both the exam and the cleaning on the same day without any problems. When I sat down, the staff has been so attentive, they even offered me to watch a movie, which I did. Dr. P. came in and I could tell she cared about me as a patient and wanted to do her best to make suggestions, but at the same time no one tried to up-sell me any expensive products, which was always my experience in the past. When she wanted to show me something specific to my teeth, she projected it on the screen with a camera and I was able to see what she was talking about. She was going to work on only half of my mouth, but when I mentioned that my insurance will soon be ending, she went ahead and did the other half as well even though it was getting pretty late… Overall, this is a very good office, will definitely recommend! I don’t even remember any usual discomfort since I was paying attention to the movie 🙂

Been coming here for the past 4 years and I must say my experience has been amazing every time. My dentist is Dr. Singh but I’ve talked to Dr. Pronstroller and she has always been nothing but nice and accommodating. Over the years I’ve gotten 2 fillings as well as a root canal and routine cleanings. In the past I’ve experienced some pretty horrific dental work that was really painful and led to me trying to avoid going to the dentist as much as possible. Thats probably how I got the cavities and root damage. But with Dr. Singh the experience is always gentle and relatively pain-free. I just wish I had found this place earlier and could have avoided the damage I sustained to my teeth. In terms of payment, I’m not sure what some of the other people on here are complaining about. They’ve always used my insurance without any trouble and the payment procedures have been the same as any other dentist I’ve been to. It seems to only make sense to me that you would pay before receiving any treatment. Otherwise I could see how much of a hassle it would be if they gave treatment and had to fight with patients for their payment. For some i guess it may seem inconvenient but I can see that they’re only trying to protect themselves. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for well-priced and quality dental work. I live near the valley so coming here is bit far-off but incredibly worth it. I thank my sister every time I go for telling me about this place. She lives in the long beach area and found this place that now all of my family goes to. You really can’t find this kind of quality, care and pricing anywhere else in my opinion, and I spent a good year trying to look by myself. Take my advice and try total dental care.

No one likes the dentist, right?! It’s unpleasant and uncomfortable, but we all have to go. I’ve shopped around for a good dentist and found Long Beach Total Dental Care to be my best bet. I don’t understand these negative reviews I’ve read here. Dr. Pronstroller has always had an excellent, personable, and comforting bed-side mannor. I appreciate that they do the insurance business before the procedure because I like knowing how much I’m paying, what I’m paying for and what my insurance covers before I get anything done. At one point I strayed from LBTDC because my work was offering a discount at another dentist. It ended up costing me more in the end with those other guys and they didn’t follow through with my insurance, instead I received a check from my insurance that I then had to give to them. I’d never had that happen before. But the girls in the front at LBTDC know how to handle my insurance and get the most out of it, quite frankly, which is customer service. I want to get the most for my money and I appreciate that they know how to bill my insurance and can give me the best price possible and let me know what I’ll be charged before I’m stuck with the payment. They allow me to make the ultimate decision. When I’m done there, I’m done, no more bills come in the mail, and the follow through with collecting payment from the insurance. Dr. Pronstroller remembers me, asks about my life and has a plan for the care of my teeth. She shows me the work that needs to be done with cameras and photos and she shows me what she’s done after she does it. She always makes sure I’m happy with the work. She’s a professional, so I always am. If you’re new to town or shopping around for a dentist, I can tell you I’ve had the best experince here.

Dr. Pronstroller has now removed all four of my wisdom teeth in a six month period, and I couldn’t be happier with this office. Dr. Pronstroller conducts herself to the highest standard of a health professional across the board, and goes above and beyond her responsibilities as a dentist. She makes personal phone calls regarding pre care and after care, constantly checks up even weeks after treatment to assure that healing is going well, even included and Insisted on extra therapy at no cost to me to ensure I healed properly when there were signs of normal and common complications (slight numbing lasting weeks after the extraction. Six months and multiple laser treatments later I now have full feeling and mobility back thanks to her insistent care.) She has always been careful about any drug interactions with my current medications, and taken the time needed to make sure I understand anything I had questions about. (Thoroughly explained all medications and went into detail about a bone graft that I was unfamiliar and apprehensive about.) The office even followed up on my Uber to make sure I was safely returned home. Young male assistant Ishmael was encouraging and kind, a huge part of a good team dealing with a nervous patient. Jasmine was a perfect assistant and overall the procedure was essentially painless, quick, and I would recommend this office and Dr. Pronstroller in particular to anyone needing any dental work done in the Long Beach area.

Dr. Pronstroller was super awesome. I’ve gone through multiple cavities, a couple root canals, and two sets of braces and I can 100% say Dr. Pronstroller was excellent. She was kind, caring, and efficient in dealing with two of my cavities. With all the care I have received (above), not one of my previous doctors notified me of my grinding of teeth at night and she did! In addition to this, they have friendly and reassuring staff. Even when a mistake was made (overcharging me for a previous visit), they corrected it and were super apologetic. Since then I have received emails and phone calls making sure I am doing well. I’ll definitely be coming back in 6 months for my cleaning!

I have been going to a dentist for 40 years and these Dentist are as good as it gets. They are professional, friendly, high tech, up to speed with the latest and best procedures and even fun! I never felt pressured for any unnecessary procedures but rather thankful they made great suggestions to help me even more. When my mouth guard didn’t work properly due to my severe grinding, the Dr. made me 3 new ones for FREE until we found the perfect material and fit. I couldn’t be happier and found my dentist for life and look forward to bringing my son there when he is old enough.

My dentist for the past 2 years or so. Sorry guys it took me a while but here it is! Dr. Pronstroller is super nice, super attentive and one more super: professional. She’s treated my cavities, extracted wisdom teeth and now doing invisalign. Easy to get in touch with (phone/email) to discuss treeatment progress and any concerns that arise. There is no or minimal wait time if you come on time for your appointment. A true test for any business is when a problem pops up, be it treatment or non-treatment related. And they passed it by providing good customer service and fixing the issue. Thumbs up! Keep up the good work.

This is my first Yelp review, and this is the place that finally made me join up. When I receive service this good I have to spread the word. I’ve already turned on 2 people I know in the area to this place. And since I used Yelp to find this place I should also share what I discovered with the online community. The Dentist i saw was Dr. Janice Ponstroller. She is the friendliest dentist I’ve ever met that still seemed genuine. She was very confident and her prescription helped solve my gum pain. But this is the most awesome part, (along with the price which I will discuss later), is she booked two follow-up appointments for me to check in on my progress every couple weeks that were free-of-charge! Price: I can’t remember how the price broke down anymore, but I got a check up, 24 X-rays, and a cleaning for $100! I think the checkup/x-rays only accounted for $40 if I recall. I don’t have dental insurance and I called about 5 or 6 other places before settling on this one (because of good reviews and price), but this price was much lower than anything else in the area or anything I’d paid elsewhere in the past. Now, from what I’ve heard, I need to find other places to write reviews for just to keep this one visible – people deserve to know that this Dr. is out there and that they can afford to go!

I’ve been going to Total Dental Care since 2006 and I absolutely love this place. I’m extremely frightened, scared, nervous, avoidant, and deeply terrified of any kind of pain. Dr.Janice handles me with kid gloves. Even the hygienists are extremely gentle and patient! Because this delicate flower is handled with such TLC I never miss a cleaning and I’ve taken care of all cavities in a timely fashion– woohoo! Both Dentists, Dr.Singh and Dr. Janice really take the time to listen and make sure you’re serviced properly, even after routine cleanings they check the hygienist’s work and make sure all is well. I have complete confidence in their recommendations and procedures…Dr.Janice has consistently gone above and beyond with me to make sure I’m satisfied– THANK YOU! The Office Staff is fantastic as well, they are extremely warm and welcoming each time I come in for a visit. There’s never a hassle with insurance or endless paperwork–they are on top of things. I highly, highly recommend this Dental Office. Ps. You get to watch movies while you have a procedure done– who does that??!!

My last dentist seems almost medieval compared to this place. Everything is so clean and high tech: the x-rays are computerized (they show up instantaneously on the screen before your face), and you can watch movies while they work on your teeth. Even the magazines are up-to-date. Dr. Ponstroller gave me a shot and I didn’t even feel it. When I came back for a filling, Dr. Singh did a thorough, efficient job (he’s pretty hot, BTW). “It’s so nice to have such a calm patient,” he said to me. Well, it’s easy to be calm when you’re in the hands of such professionals. They are open late and I even came in on a Saturday once. Love this place.

Janice is the most talented dentist you can find. Miraculously she was able to save my tooth from a root canal with only a crown when 95% of other dentist would have just gone with the root canal for precautionary measures. I always have wonderful experience each time I go to Long Beach Total Dental Care. The good quality service it provides is amazingly consistent every time I visit when I need help. The staffs and the doctors are always reliable and very professional while at the same time giving a warm, personalize care to patients like me. I observe this each time I have a doctor’s visit. There is consistency in their service which is not easy to do and maintain, but they always able to. It is just amazing. COST: One of the major concerns I had was the cost. I compared different dental service providers and the Long Beach Total Care is the most reasonable one in cost without sacrificing quality. I had badly needed multiple procedures done which would have cost thousands of dollars. Long Beach Total Care knew I needed help very bad. They worked with me and provided me with feasible payment plan and reasonable cost which allowed me to successfully recover from my dental care needs. THE PLACE: This dental facility is outstanding. It’s always very clean, well laid out, relaxing and calming. I always look forward to coming here to get dental care. By the way, the fresh live flowers at the reception is always a nice touch. TIME MATTERS: The office is always busy; but I almost always never have to wait at all, which is great with work and family schedules. They are very considerate and they value people’s time. DECISION MAKING: So come and visit Dr. Singh, Dr. Pronstroller, Natalie, Elva, Jasmine, Rosie, Gracie and the rest of the Long Beach Dental Care family team. The doctors have very light hands when doing the procedures which the rest of the dental team has. They are very knowledgeable. They explained to me my situation and all available options. Total Dental Care gave us the Very Best service we have ever received with a very friendly staff as well ! From Canada, going on a cruise the next day…. my wife broke a crown & so needed immediate attention. We were staying on the ‘Queen Mary’ (hotel). Total Dental Care is very convenient – just a short ride on the Long Beach Courtesy Bus. Dr.Janice Pronstroller took us in immediately. The broken tooth had to be extracted & a temporary bridge constructed for Donna. Dr Steven Singh looked in on the progress several times. We felt well cared for & we left on our cruise without further problems as Donna had little pain or swelling. Although the bill was high enough, it was half of what it would have been in Canada. Thank you to the staff & Janice & Steven. We intend to return to Long Beach soon for Janice to complete the final Bridge work. We were that impressed !

First of all i have been struggling with finding a good dentist. i tried 2 dentist before coming here. and there were always unprofessional and very pushy. Over the past 5 months Ive been going to LBTDC i notice that my dr. Dr. Pronstroller is very caring and very professional, and ALWAYS asks if i have questions or a concern. The front staff is always very friendly and they always look very stylish and professional. i really enjoy coming to my appts. i had a few procedures, my first one was a root canal and Dr. Pronstroller made sure i didn’t feel a thing, she was very delicate when putting anesthetic. After that i got a few crowns and always made sure i had my next appointment ready. But mainly always made sure that i was ok and understood what i had to do after my dental work, and always tell me if they had any questions or concerns i can call them. therefore i really recommend LBTDC if you want a professional and helpful drs. and staff.

So ive been going to Long beach total dental care for the last 5 years and i can honestly say that ive never thought of going anywhere else, and dont plan to either. Their friendly staff cater to all my needs every time. Dr. Singh and Dr. Ponstroller are such amazing dentists and are so gentle. A huge concern i had before coming to TDC was that every other dentist was so rough and going to the dentist became a painful experience. With these dentists there is no pain what so ever. To make it even better there is so much entertainment, and the doctors are very friendly and easy to talk to. As a spanish speaking customer it was very comforting that the entire staff were spanish speaking as well. Theyre cost is also extremely comforting. For the service i get i would be willing to pay an even higher price. After going to almost every dental clinic in Los Angeles i highly recommend this one as the best.

Sadly I moved from Long Beach to downtown LA so I have to find a new dental office, but I wanted to leave a great review. Staff here is super friendly, and Dr. Pronstroller was the best. I was sweating bullets thinking about getting my wisdom teeth removed. I don’t like needles….. I had my consultation done with Dr. Pronstroller who had previously done my fillings. She’s attentive and gentle and made my front teeth look great. Too bad I still smoke …. oh well. She advised me to see the male doctor who does the surgeries at this office. He was calm and very professional. He offered to remove my wisdom
teeth after I got my medication filled that afternoon.That was a good thing. I don’t think I would’ve come back otherwise. I was so nervous. They made me feel very comfortable during the procedure. Well, as comfy as can be, it was still surgery afterall. I was amazed though, really, I am not an easy patient and it went really well. I was so numb, and he took out the teeth quick. I was so relieved. I could not have had a more positive outcome considering my anxiety for needles and such.

I found my dentist! I have had a lot of bad experiences with dentists, and therefore am really skeptical when I go to a new one. I highly recommend LB Total Dental Care! I had and emergency and needed a dentist bad! They gave me a same day appointment (which in itself is amazing!). The staff is awesome and caring! I truly felt that they cared for my well being, never trying to push unnecessary procedures on me! Rosie the dental assistant was amazing making me feel comfortable and relaxed! Dr. Janice Pronstroller is very professional and caring. She explained everything to me, what was priority to take care of and why. I’ve been going here for 3 years ever since I moved here from NYC. The service is great and they always take me in on time and I’ve never had to wait. When I first came here I was pleasantly surprise of how advanced their practice is. I like how the equipment and technology they use is modern and you can see all the action on the computer screen from your X-rays to live video of your teeth to show you where your stains are. Mirrors just don’t cut it.! The software they use actually looks like the dental room. I remember my first time I had my teeth cleaned here I bragged to my family and friend back east of how advanced they were. I think back east cheapens on equipment to save that extra buck, but not here! If looking at your own teeth grosses you out they’ll gladly pop in a movie for you. =) The cleaning is always a pleasant experience. I normally get someone different every time, but whomever cleans my teeth that day is always gentle enough not to hurt my gums and considerate when it comes to protecting my eyes from splatter or making sure my shirt doesn’t get dirty since I’m coming from the office. After the cleaning Dr. Ponstroller does a thorough review of the health of your teeth. As the years pass by you learn to appreciate the quality of care they have for their patients. She is always concerned about the wellness of your teeth and offers outside of the box suggestions to improve your dental health and is never pushy. As the saying goes, a great smile goes a long way! Bottom line, if you’re looking for that personal care, if you’re looking for professionalism, efficiency, promptness, advance facility and friendly staff, I would definitely recommend. I love going here for my dental needs. I’m always raving how great this practice is to my coworkers and friends and would 5 star recommend this place to yelpers as well. Ps. I went to a different dentist 1 other time between the 3 years because my insurance plan had switched providers from my employer. It was night and day! Everything went wrong from the parking to the cleaning. There was absolutely no parking at this other place. This other dental place had me wait over 1 hour when I specifically asked that if it was going to be more than 20 minutes let me know because I will just grab something to eat and gladly come back and wait. Instead they assured me the wait time would not take longer than 15 minutes. Not only did I had to wait a long time. They upcharged for everything and their version of cleaning was flossing my teeth, which I could do myself. After my cleaning they wanted to charge me 200 for each quadrant for some extra cleaning. As a result, I paid extra to my insurance plan to go back to Total Dental Care.

I just had a cleaning and some fillings done yesterday and am completely blown away by the service and experience I had at Total Dental Care. You know when you write a facebook status about how great your trip to the dentist was it’s pretty incredible. Here’s a few reasons why I love them: 1. They clearly explained which procedures I needed done and let me have a say in what I felt comfortable with. 2. All of the staff are super personable, made me feel comfortable, and didn’t shame me (I often leave the dentist feeling like a bad little kid who doesn’t take care of her teeth well enough). 3. They let you watch a movie in the chair while you’re having your work done and you get to pick from their extensive movie selection (this was a huge perk!). 4. Dr. Pronstroller is so nice and hilarious (like I would want to hang out with her outside of the dentist’s office), and she sent me a personal follow up email the next day asking how I was feeling after the work I had done. Now that’s service! 5. They offer free parking right down the block. This is basically unheard of in the downtown area. I’m returning next week to finish up the work I need done and am actually looking forward to going! Love this place.
