What a great team! All the way from booking the initial appointment to actually seeing the hygienist and the dentist was seamless and painless. Everyone in the office is super friendly and helpful. We showed up a little bit late for our appointment and work quickly seated in the chair. My dental hygienist, Tessie was super friendly and bubbly. She thoroughly explained why she gave the recommendations for the cleaning that she did, showed me all the x-rays and the points of concern. The dentist, Dr.  was very professional and welcoming And also thoroughly explained the plan of care. Their office is well-designed, and you have a nice view looking out from the dental chair. This was our first time coming here, but we definitely have now made this or permanent dental office. I highly recommend Visiting them and having them take care of you, you won’t be disappointed.

I get terrible anxiety at the thought of a cleaning, let alone a procedure for a cavity or crown. Today I had a deep cleaning and crown prep. Dr. Young and Hannah were fabulous. They walked me through everything and made sure I had what I needed to be comfortable. As crazy as this sounds to some, even to me, I am eager to be able to see my dentist and hygienist on a regular basis, free of fear! Thank you to everyone at Lovejoy Dental!

It’s mashed potatoes and gravy here!! Always treated great and I’ve had multiple technicians that do a phenomenal job that the cleaning process is gentle and thorough. Dr young is the man and remembers right where we left off in regards to my teeth and our banter. All the equipment here seems to be state of the art and the chairs are comfy so I almost doze every time. Much love to these guys!

I have been a client with Lovejoy dental since they were Rafia Dental. The staff is very welcoming and warm, you feel comfortable from the moment you step in to the office. The hygienists are very gentle and thorough, and Dr. Young is incredibly knowledgeable, hard working and truly cares about his patients. He helped me remedy a cracked tooth in a matter of a few days. Additionally, he is well connected in the dentist/orthodontic/maxillofacial industry with people who would bend over backwards to help him and his patients. This helped when I had to get an implant. Dr. Young has been the best dentist I have ever had and routinely recommend him to friends and family that are looking to make a change.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Lovejoy Dental!! Dr. Young is personable, professional and literally the best dentist you can find! I love and trust the whole team at Lovejoy. I’ve had multiple cleanings done by a variety of the hygienists and each and everyone of them are awesome! Super sweet, gentle, thorough and they are great at recommending products and routines specifically for you and your teeth. You are never treated like a “number” here. The staff knows your name, you are greeted when you first walk in and the entire appointment is pleasant. Pretty impressive considering a lot of people don’t enjoy the dentist. I’m happy to say I actually look forward to my appointments!! I will never go anywhere else!!! Dr. Young and his team have a lifelong customer. Oh and did I mention the location is awesome!! Beautiful, modern, clean office!! Other offices out there just don’t compare. Oh and the chapsticks are the best!! I always grab a couple while I’m there. 😉

Dr. Young, , and all the staff at Lovejoy Dental are great!! I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at this clinic. The hygienists are thorough but gentle and Dr. Young is very kind and conservative in his approach. Like many of you I was a little nervous to go to the dentist during COVID, but I felt safe and secure during my entire visit. 5 stars!

5/5 for Dr. Young at Rafia Dental! I recently visited Dr. Young for the first time for a simple pre-ortho bite assessment as he will be my primary dentist after my ortho treatment which begins next month. In what was supposed to be a quick appointment Dr. Young (thankfully) identified some concerns with his naked eye that were confirmed with his x-rays. We scheduled a second appointment to address the concerns and get the work done that was needed. Everything was accomplished within one appointment and I was updated along the way of where he was in the process. Dr. Young is honest, upfront and friendly. It is completely obvious that he knows that he is doing and does it well, I recommend Dr. Young at Rafia for anyone needing a dentist!

I chipped a tooth playing soccer over a weekend and, still new to Portland, didn’t have a dentist to call. I showed up at Rafia when they opened on Monday morning and they found a way to get me in for a quick scan that day and a full appointment the next day despite a full schedule. I received a perfectly good-looking temporary veneer and ultimately a permanent one that looks great. Dr. Young was professional, quick, and thorough. I’m headed back for a regular check-up visit next … I had to wait 2 months for the next appointment, but I had some restrictions on time of day so I felt it was understandable.

I can’t say enough about how impressed I was with this dental office. The staff was very welcoming and Dr. Young is hands down the best dentist I have ever seen. Although my own particular medical/dental conditions are quite poor, Dr. Young was caring and compassionate about my situation and I never once felt he wanted to make a ton of money off of me……something I recently encountered with two previous dentists. I only wish I would have found this doctor years ago. I have heard fabulous things about the other doctor in the office, Dr. , but I haven’t personally seen him.

My family and I have been patients at Rafia Dental for years. Dorothy and the front desk staff are very polite, professional, and efficient from the moment you arrive. The office is immaculately clean, as one would expect. Both Mandy and Tara have done my cleanings and they were both gentle and super nice. I have been a patient of Dr. Young and he is very honest, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. Most importantly, you can tell right away that he truly has my best interests in mind, and a passion for his industry. Not to mention he is very polite to both myself and all of his staff everytime I have been there. The office has all of the latest equipment and technologies. If there has ever been an issue with my oral care, Dr. Young has shown me exactly what the issue was, via xray or pictures, and clearly explained a treatment plan to correct it. Because of this, I have never felt like they were just “finding things” just so they could make money. I have had that experience in the past at another office and it is not a good feeling. I feel extremely fortunate to have found Rafia Dental for me and my families oral care and if your in need of an honest dentist that will treat you like family, look no further. Best dentist hands down

I found Rafia dental on a whim, looking for dentists nearby who accepted my insurance. When I saw the positive reviews, I booked my appointment. Now I understand the reviews! From the front desk check-in to my chat with the doctor, everyone was so kind and professional which made me feel much more at ease as I have dentist phobia due to adverse childhood experiences! The staff made me laugh and were super fun to work with. My hygienist was amazing and my doctor was very thorough in his explanations, empathetic, and I felt like he was really listening to me. They went over the cost of everything in detail and let me know which services were optional and which were the most important for my dental health. I’ve moved since I booked my initial appt at this office but I will gladly drive across town and pay for parking in the Pearl in order to keep these folks as my dental clinic. Would recommend 100%
