I really love my dentist. She is nice and friendly (as are the rest of the staff!). She gets the job done and tries to not make my gums bleed too much! 😉 They use bubblegum flavored gloves! And you can pick your flavor of toothpaste! My favorite thing is theat they send you text message reminders for your appointment and you can confirm by sending a text back! So easy! I recently changed jobs and insurance so I am now out of network for Dr. Lucas, but I refuse to change dentists! I will just pay more… this place is THAT GOOD!

Wonderful experience here. Everyone from the reception staff to the hygienist to the dentist was wonderful and all went way out of their way to make our visit go well, including seeing our 4-year old early and letting the one-year old come check things out. Very positive experience all around  and would highly recommend!!

I go for checkups every 6 months, and what attracted me to it in the first place was how Lucas Dental made me feel welcome and invited during my first visit. Their front office staff is attentive and professional, and gave me helpful advice with my insurance. But what really matters is the quality of their actual dental work, and here, I’ve been very satisfied with each visit. Their teeth cleaning is quick and efficient, and they’re very good at spotting problem areas or areas that need attention. When I did need some work done (a cavity refill), Dr. Lucas was readily available and performed the procedure with expert care. I’m happy each time I go, and recommend Dr. Lucas to anyone looking for a dentist in Hoboken.

Dr. Lucas and her team are the best! I put off the dentist for years and like most just absolutely hated the dentist. After going to Dr. Lucas I have a new perspective on the dentist and finally taking care of my teeth. They are so thorough, explain everything so well and truly put you at ease. For anyone who ever feared the dentist- look no further!! Lucas dental is the best.

I recently moved to Hoboken and needed to find a new dentist. I found Lucas Dental Associates, and am so glad that I did!! I called on a Friday, and they were able to make an appointment for me to have a routine exam, xrays and cleaning on the following Monday. They had forms online that I was able to complete at home and bring with me – saving me some time in their waiting room. When I arrived for my exam, I was greeted by the very friendly and welcoming front office staff. They were professional and thorough in explaining my insurance benefits and ensuring I had completed all of the forms. I had a very short wait (maybe 3 minutes) before the hygienist came to get me. She introduced herself and took me back to her work area where I had a complete set of xrays and photographs of my teeth. She took the time to discuss the xrays with me, showing me where the tooth roots were in relation to the bone and the enamel on my teeth. We discussed my medical history and my oral care routine. She cleaned my teeth and even identified a trouble spot that was uncovered during the cleaning. She took another photo of the tooth in question and showed me what she was concerned about. When the dentist came in to do the exam, she pointed it out to him. The dentist was very quick, matter-of-fact, and to-the-point. He agreed that the trouble area needed a filling. The hygienist finished up and made my next appointment. The front office staff processed my payment and scheduled an appointment for later that afternoon for the filling. They were very accommodating and efficient. My appointment later that afternoon for the filling was, again, quick and relatively painless. The doctor was efficient and the dental assistant was a joy. (She held my hand while I got the Novocain shot and made sure that I felt at ease as best as possible.) This was by far one of the top dental experiences I’ve had!

I have been seeing Dr. Laskis since she was a dental student, and I couldn’t afford anything other than the NYU dental school. I have followed her to 2 different practices. I continue to go to her at Dr. Lucas’ office, even though they don’t take my dental insurance. That’s right, I have dental insurance but I go out of network where I have no coverage, because Dr. Laskis is that good.

As always, the service, knowledge, and professionalism at Lucas Dental was top notch! Comparing the state of my teeth to my first visit last year is like night and day. My mouth is significantly healthier and looks a heck of a lot better. I’ve already recommended that my girlfriend go here as well (her first visit was yesterday!) along with a handful of good friends. Very pleased!!

I went to Lucas Dental Associates for the first time yesterday and saw Dr. Sherry. She is AMAZING!!! I recently had a couple fillings placed by a dentist in Manhattan and had subsequent pain for 8 months. Saw that dentist again but still had the pain so I wanted a second opinion. Went to Dr. Sherry and she reviewed my case, got updated xrays, did a careful examination, and replaced the problem filling. I am so far totally pain free. She seems appropriately conservative (something I want in a dentist for sure) and explained the things she was seeing very clearly to me. I recommend her thoroughly.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lucas for a few years now. I never write reviews but I’ve been so impressed with their practice that I felt compelled to do so. Dr. Lucas and her staff have always been on time, courteous, and professional. I’ve never waited more than a few minutes (at the very most) after my scheduled appointment time. Dr. Lucas and her whole team are thorough and attentive, and get you into your appointment on time and out as quickly as possible. One of the best run medical offices I’ve used and would highly recommend!

This is the best Dental office I have ever used in my life. They are all extremely friendly, very caring and very sensitive and they do not cheat with money like some other dental offices do. Their prices are very reasonable and their staff and Dr. Lucas are simply the very best that you can find anywhere. I highly recommend them!
