Never have I ever felt comfortable about the dentist, however I can now say that has all changed. My mother has been going to Dr. Guerra for a little over a year now and has said nothing but the most amazingly positive things about Dr. Guerra and his office staff.  I’ll  be honest I was still not so sure, but my recent discovery of a large black dot on my molar gave me no choice but to find out for myself. I can’t tell you how unbelievably wonderful Dr. Guerra and his staff are, to say they are amazing would be an understatement. Dr. Guerra has the most delicate touch, he is calming and keeps you updated with each step he is taking. He was very attentive and overly concerned with my comfort level at all times. He was honest and informative. I have never felt so confident in a dentist in all my life. I am a patient for life. Thank you to Dr. Guerra and his staff for creating a whole new imagine of the dentist in my life. My teeth have never looked for felt better. I am so happy to have found you. I actually look forward to my next appointment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Guerra for over 12 years and through two different periods in my life when I have lived in greater LA. What I appreciate about him most is his philosophy of maintaining the natural dental surfaces as much as possible, in other words he is a minimalist. Dr. Guerra is kind and compassionate, as are his staff. I drive from the South Bay to Santa Monica to see him, and it is worth enduring the 405 to do so.

I started going to Dr Guerra eight years ago when I moved to Santa Monica. He has done incredible work and has always been very professional. I had a cracked molar from a motorcycle accident and was experiencing a lot of pain. He was able to see me right away and through his contacts in the dentistry community I had a root canal followed by a great temp and perfect matching permanent from Dr Guerra. He and his staff have always been very personable and professional. I highly recommend him and his staff!

Dr. Guerra is hands down the BEST DENTIST I have ever been to! He is patient, kind, professional and his work is amazing. I’ve been going to him for years and recommend him to all of my friends. I recently needed an emergency root canal and not only did he stay late to see me, he made a personal phone call to an endodontist who also agreed to see me that night and stay in the office until 7:00 p.m. to finish the procedure. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Guerra for any dental needs. You won’t be sorry and you many even look forward to going to the dentist. I know I do! 🙂

I absolutely HATE to go to the dentist, but Dr. Guerra and his staff are the BEST.  So patient, so kind.  I was terrified when I had to get a filling and he was so understanding of my anxiety and reassuring.  The filling was quick and painless! Also, Kira does the most amazing cleanings.   If you live in the West LA area, you MUST go to Dr. Guerra.  I am a loyal patient for life!

I am a patient of Dr Guerra for over 12yrs and I cannot imagine going to another dentist. When I first was referred to him, I was under the impression  I needed 4 crowns replaced based on what another (less ethical) dentist had told me. In the end, I only needed ONE crown and as has been his professional philosophy since that first appointment, Dr. Guerra believes in preserving as much of the natural tooth as possible. He and his staff are always kind, courteous and make patient comfort their highest concern. The drive from Torrance to Santa Monica takes planning for the commute, but well worth every minute. Great care, high quality work, ethical.

I have been coming here for over a year- and I absolutely think they deserve 5 stars for being a Dentist that I feel will not rip me off and honestly care about my teeth and over all health. All the girls are so sweet – perfect scraping and cleaning and knowledgeable about how to maintain my good teeth..and they talk to me like we are friends which I love. Dr. Guerra also double checks the fantastic cleaning I just had and checks the tongue for potential problems and my throat and cares if I smoke” which I do not” but I do not recall other dentist being so thorough. I love this dentist!!!

I’ve been visiting Dr. Luis Guerra for almost 17 years.  His office has helped me with crowns, fillings, and routine cleanings.  In addition, I have never been disappointed with his referrals to specialists.  I sent my daughter to his office as a preteen and teenager and he was great with her.  His hygienists are always very thorough and competent.  I appreciate how Dr. Guerra cares about my overall dental health.  I love his warm, personable nature.  I haven’t lived in the city for 8 years but I still commute for my twice-per-year visits.

Dr. Guerra is absolutely the best dentist you can find. He cares deeply about the welfare of his patients and is very honest on top of that. He never over diagnoses like so dentists do. He is very gentle and practices painless dentistry. I have never even experienced the slightest bit of discomfort when he works on my mouth. I didn’t even feel the numbing shot! He even guarantees that the dental work will not fail! I have called him after hours for emergencies and he always responds right away. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Dr. Guerra always goes the extra mile to make sure my dental health is maintained at the highest standard.

I was in for my dental cleaning and check up today. I had a new hygienist, Sophia, and I think she is wonderful. While she was very thorough, she was also very gentle. I have sensitive gums because of years of cancer treatment and sometimes in the past I have had to have my gums numbed so that I could tolerate the cleaning. I didn’t need any numbing today so I am very happy about the new hygienist. I also saw Dr. Guerra for a check. I have been going to him for a decade or so and I have always found him to be thorough and very gentle. He’s a really sweet guy and has taken good care of my teeth all these years. Unlike other dentists I have seen over the years, he doesn’t push me to do unnecessary work.

No one likes going to the dentist but Dr. Guerra is unlike any other dentist I’ve ever been to! I’ve been to dentists that seemed to only be interested in getting the job done quickly so that they can move onto the next patient. I’ve literally had fillings fall right out of my mouth from not being filled properly. But Dr. Guerra and his team take the time to make sure you are properly treated and that issues like this won’t happen. They make sure you are comfortable and feel no pain throughout the entire procedure. Not at all like other dentists who just drill away at your teeth with no regard to whether you are in pain or not. From the minute you walk in, you are greeted with pleasant smiles and warm greetings. Dr. Guerra and his team make a point to create a personal relationship with each of their patients that makes you feel like you’re visiting friends as opposed to going to the dentist. If you’re in the market for a new dentist, you should 100% give Dr. Guerra a visit!

I almost never leave any review, positive or negative because I always think that good and bad are the outcome  of the choices I make, so I feel very responsible about it and usually, I don’t give to the others the benefits or the blame but for Dr. Guerra I have to make an exception because he deserves it.  He is a very honest person, a very rare quality in our times !

Dr. Guerra and his staff are absolutely wonderful!  I was treated like a VIP from the time I walked through the door until the completion of my treatment.  Dr. G took his time explaining the procedure and was very concerned about how I felt before getting started. I felt safe and relaxed while listening to the soothing sound of the waterfall that was located outside of my window. I highly recommend Dr. Luis Guerra, he truly is a perfectionist and his work speaks for itself!

Dr Guerra is hands down the most HONEST and gentle dentist I have ever been to. I had a terrible accident in my 20’s…my jaw wired shut and subsequently tmj plus years of tortuous cosmetic dentistry to get me to where I am today. My friend recommended Dr Guerra to me claiming he was very honest and would never try to sell me extra things plus was very gentle. I went to him and it was the first time I have ever felt comfortable and not dreaded going to an appointment. He is an awesome dentist and my two children go to him as well! We love Dr Guerra and his staff is great, too! We love his dental hygienist, Kira! She makes my kids feel super comfortable and going to the dentist is an easy thing for our family these days! 🙂

I’ve been treated by over a few dozen dentists across the world and time and again I had to correct the damage done by a previous dentist. Until I discovered Dr. Guerra. His holistic approach to my dental health, meticulous attention to detail and flawless execution form a reason why I’ve been using his services for years now. From regular cleaning to the most complex surgeries, I know I can rely on him and his fabulous team to take the best care of me. I can’t overstate how important this sense of trust is for me. Thank you, Dr. Guerra and the team for my wide smile that’s getting wider and wider. I hope to never need to use dental services but since that’s unrealistic, I’m glad to be under your care!

My family has known Dr. Guerra for decades He was my late mother’s dentist and worked on her teeth despite her severe dementia. Dr. Guerra was kind, patient, and competent. Dr. Guerra was my son’s dentist since he was 3-years old. Initially, to introduce him to the concept of dentistry, Dr. Guerra had him sit in the dental chair, made a balloon out of the latex gloves and helped my son get comfortable with  sitting in the exam chair. Finally, Dr. Guerra believed me when I had pain in one of my upper left molars. He referred me to an Endodontist that refused to believe me, but Dr. Guerra referred me to another Endodontist who used ultrasound to detect the damaged root underneath my upper molar crown. I feel that what is awesome about Dr. Guerra is that he truly cares about his patients and tailors his dentistry to their individual treatment needs!

I worked with Dr. Guerra for 9 1/2 years as the only hygienist, he is the one that I finally allowed to do my vaneers. After 25+ years of wanting my front teeth to be fixed I chose him because on 4 separate occasions with 4 different patients I was unable to tell the difference between his vaneers and natural teeth (Hard to admit being a hygienist!).  I still to this day get compliments from every dentist or hygienist that sees them up close and personal. He does amazing work and is a complete perfectionist! His work is still to date, the best I have ever seen! I have referred EVERY person I know in the LA and Orange county area to see him. I am no longer working with him and yet I STILL refer so what does that tell you! I left my dentist of 26 years to have Dr G work on me and even though I currently live in Colorado I still go back to him for any and all necessary dental work. I read the one negative post below and find it sad to see such lies about Dr G! I spent 9 1/2 years working along side him and not once did I see unnecessary or “shotty” work and obviously I know his work intimately. If I hadn’t moved to CO I would have retired with him because of the pride he takes in his work, the ethics he lives in his daily practice, and the kindness and compassion he shows his patients. Don’t go to an office that tells you your previous dentist did such bad work that they need to “redo” the work… that’s a scam people! If you want a great dentist take my professional opinion to heart and go see Dr G! You will not be disappointed!

O.K. I just left my favorite Dentist and went for coffee with a friend and just for kicks I looked up him on Yelp I was not shocked by all the five stars but thought the crazy review by one person and that persons daughter totally nuts!! This review is totally real and I would imagine someone like Dr. Guerre if indeed he reads it would turn red because he is simply the best and most humble human being I know.  As a dentist he’s incredible and has helped me beyond imagination, he is the very best dentist I have ever had the pleasure of knowing (here come’s the part to embarrass him). I coach basketball in South Central for five years (actually used to, had some physical stuff and no longer do it.). Our mission was to get these kids college scholarships for young men who are gifted athletes.  I had a few kids who couldn’t afford a dentist, when I told Dr. G about this HE TREATED THEM FOR FREE!!! I have no reason to lie in this review I just truly think this man is a fantastic man and a wonderful dentist, PERIOD END OF SENTENCE!!

Anyone considering Dr. Guerra for their dentistry can feel rest assured they will be in great hands.  I am in my 50’s and after a lifetime of dentists ranging from bad to mediocre to “good” I can say that Dr. Guerra is in a class of his own.  I now understand what good dentistry actually is.  He is a rare find in his caring, his thoroughness and his standards of excellence in every aspect of his work.  He is truly a man of character. I feel very fortunate that I have found a dentist with this level of skill that is near my home and is actually younger than I am so I can be certain I will have good dentistry for the rest of my life!
