5 Stars isn’t enough to describe Dr. Van and her entire team at Lunada Bay Dental. I am a person who has had high anxiety about the Dentist all my life, that said the care and compassion extended here is beyond any other I have ever experienced. They are patient, kind and have every level of support you could possibly need to be able to receive any dental procedure you need. On my visit today I was able to prepare myself at home for the visit, then upon arrival and getting prepped they took care of everything I needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. I was in and out before I knew it. Thank You all so much. If you have been putting off going to the Dentist, look no further and go see Dr. Van!!! The Practice is open and extremely clean, and EVERY precaution being taken for COVID-19. Dont put it off GO!! HERE! NOW!

Amazing staff! The dentist was professional, friendly, and explained the procedure in such a way that I understood what was happening and why it was needed. I’ve never felt so at ease or relaxed in a dental chair. Never have I wanted to go to a dentist more than twice a year. Dr. Dyan is very knowledgeable, patient and doesn’t waste your time. She immediately fit me in today for an emergency despite her busy schedule. She went above and beyond by adjusting the look of my veneer once it was back on and fixed my Invisalign so that it doesn’t irritate my gum. I am so impressed by her professionalism and feel so lucky to know her! Her office staff is professional and sharp as well.

Wow. This dental office is impressive from the moment you walk through the front door, from the pleasant staff to the stylish decor, modern equipment, and above all, cleanliness. I was extremely impressed. And not only is the doctor an excellent dentist, but she’s also an accomplished pilot and flies rescue dogs to new forever homes. Lunada Bay Dental Is the most pleasant dental office I’ve ever been. My family gets the best care and dental treatment from this group of professional women. Dr. Van de Velde has the “Midas touch” and had turned my teeth into pearls! We always start with a nice chat about our families and travel adventure. Her assistant, Manya, makes everything comfortable as soon as I sit on the dental chair. Her sweet smile, soothing voice and gentleness makes you feel that you are in a spa ! I wouldn ‘t want anyone else to do prophylaxis on me ( teeth cleaning) except for Mary who I see every 4 months. She had helped me improve the condition of my gums and made my mouth healthy from periodental disease. She has gentle hands as her instruments dig in to the crevices of my teeth. And she constantly reminds me to floss, floss, floss. Last but not least is Renee, the most thoughtful admin and receptionst who follows up on our appointments, insurance, bills and reminders. Plus she is my namesake! I am giggling right now because seeing these women and visiting their office is like visiting your sister’s home straight to her kitchen. Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with the personalized, gentle care that you deserve in a relaxed state-of-the-art office overlooking the beautiful ocean in the heart of Palos Verdes Peninsula! Dr. Van De Velde graduated from Tufts University in Boston in 1980, and has been in private practice in the South Bay for over 30 years. As a long-time resident of Palos Verdes, Dr. Van brings her valuable experience and skills to our practice. As a private pilot with her own plane, Dr. Van De Velde has the opportunity to bring dentistry to more remote areas as a volunteer.
