Dr. Jalbout is such a conscientious practitioner. I had very bad experiences with previous dentists (to the point that I needed a root canal) so I was very anxious about going to a new dentist. After a lot of internet research, I chose to see Dr. Jalbout for an emergency filling replacement. He was so professional and caring during this procedure, that I chose to come back to him for the eventual root canal that I needed (due to my previous dentist). During the entire process, he was extremely patient in explaining procedures and answering my many questions. Unlike other dentists who just make you sit in the chair and don’t tell you what’s going on, Dr. Jalbout explained what he was doing and why he needed to do it. I have been Dr. Ziad Jalbout’s patient for approximately 10 years. During that time he has given me excellent care every visit. I should say at the outset that Dr. Jalbout and his entire office staff have been extraordinarily diligent in the era of Covid-19. The PPE worn by all is state of the art, and the air in the office is constantly recirculated. I feel safe and well-looked after at all times. I saw Dr. Jalbout yesterday for the extraction of an infected tooth and the placement of a bone graft in preparation for an implant. He told me what was going on every step of the way, answering all my questions thoroughly. During the procedure, he and his assistant Diana worked hard to keep me comfortable. And, considering that I was undergoing dental surgery, I was. This morning I am feeling no pain. Although I was prescribed pain medication, I have so far taken none. The post-op instructions posted on the Making You Smile NYC website are thorough, and I have found it easy to follow them. THE BEST. I’ve had a number of dentists over the years and can confidently say that Dr. Jalbout is by far the best. Professional, talented, patient, friendly, honest, informative, technologically inclined but not pushy, I feel incredibly fortunate to have found him. And his staff! You know when you find a great doctor but their staff is terrible? Not here. They are so helpful and courteous, happy to see and assist you in every way. I have two illustrations regarding Dr. Jalbout’s work: first–and this may seem relatively minor but demonstrates the care he takes–when he gives you novocaine, it doesn’t hurt. That’s because he administers it slowly, something few dentists show the patience to do. Second, I came to Dr. Jalbout after an earlier dental implant–put in by someone else–failed, a horrible experience. Dr. Jalbout’s replacement went in so smoothly I recall thinking “that’s it?” I will not go anywhere else. If Dr. Jalbout were to move his office to, say, New Jersey, I would seriously go there. And I avoid Jersey at all costs. Did I mention that my cousin is a very successful and professional dentist? Ziad Jalbout is way better.

Best dentist I’ve ever been to in my whole life (a life with a lot of dental work – implants, root canals, etc). Extremely professional studio, great staff and service, exceptional team that works together to provide a seamless experience. Dr Jalbout is my hero! Growing up, i had a mean dentist, which made me terrified of going to the dentist as an adult. I put dental care on the back burner due to my phobia until my wisdom teeth started to give me problems. I asked a friend for her dentist info and she recommended Dr Jalbout. I had my wisdom teeth pulled by Dr Jalbout and it was painless both during and after. I had very minimal discomfort after. He does a very thorough exam using state of the art technology to give you the best exam possible and explains everything in detail. He discovered cracks in my old silver fillings, provided me with close up pictures of the cracks that he took with this tiny camera. Today he removed the silver fillings and replaced with white fillings. No pain during or after ( even the shot to numb my mouth was painless) and now my teeth are pretty! NO SILVER FILLINGS! It looks like i’ve never had cavities. His office is quiet, peaceful, employees are super friendly, and i can honestly say i enjoy going to the dentist.

Dr. Jalbout is very professional, gentle, friendly and accommodating. He truly cares about you as a patient. He thoroughly reviews your x-rays with you. He takes the time to explain everything about your treatment, what he is doing and why he is doing it. He checks in often to make sure that you aren’t feeling any pain and that you are completely comfortable before proceeding. He checks his work meticulously and makes adjustments until he is satisfied and everything is perfect. He also always follows up to make sure things are going smoothly after procedures or when you have questions. He texts you to check in at the end of the day or over the weekend to see if your teeth are OK. He gives out his cell phone number in case something goes wrong. And when you do call him in case of emergency like I did when I had an unbearable toothache, he does meet you at his office at 10pm to start your root canal treatment. Other plusses: Everything is ultra hygienic – very important for me. His staff is incredibly friendly as well. The dental assistants are very attentive and considerate. Cybele, the patient coordinator, keeps the place running like clockwork with always a big smile on her face. They are also open every other Saturday, which is great if you can’t make it during the week.

I don’t write reviews unless my experience is truly amazing or super frustrating/disappointing and when I do write reviews, I take my time to depict my experience as vividly as possible. I have been a patient of Dr. Jalbout since 2007. He is the best dentist I have been to and believe me, I have been to many dentists in Europe, Boston and New York. He is super knowledgeable, professional, nice and gentle. After a thorough diagnosis, he explains you the problem and shares with you different treatment options with pros/cons, answers your questions very thoroughly and helps you make a decision on the treatment plan. The first time I had been to Dr. Jalbout, I had been suffering from harsh pain in my front tooth for a long time intermittently, had been to many dentists, all had done tests but no one was able to figure out what caused the pain. Dr. Jalbout not only did tests,looked at scans but also took the time to ask me targeted questions about potential incidents that might have caused the pain. He diagnosed that there was a cyst in my gum, caused by a trauma I had when I was a kid. He removed the cyst (which was huge) successfully! Since then, I have been to Dr. Jalbout many times for regular dental treatment and he never disappointed me. Recently, I have not been happy with the color of my teeth, in particular the one with rooth canal. I told him that I want to have a veneer. Dr. Jalbout told me that first we should try to do teeth whitening, internal whitening on the tooth with tooth canal to save the tooth and simultaneously to whiten it. I have been very much impressed with his suggestion of offering me a less costly and more tooth preserving treatment. His staff is also very nice, caring and helpful. I have never seen neither Dr. Jalbout nor any of his staff members with a frown face. They always smile and put me at ease. I strongly recommend Dr. Jalbout to everyone, even to the people who are afraid of going to dentists!

I cannot sing enough praises about Dr. Jalbout and his entire team! From the front desk staff (Josie and Carmen are the sweetest!), the hygienist, and the dental assistants..they are all a bunch of rockstars. Truly professional and with the best bedside manners. I recently switched to Dr. Jalbout’s office after the worst experience from my first dentist, who suggested the most outrageous treatment plan for me; I would have had to pay between $6,000-$8,000 out of pocket even with insurance! Had the absolute best experience yesterday at Dr. Jalbout’s office. I had an emergency early in the day, had chipped my front tooth. My job requires me to be in front of people most of the day, so as you can imagine, that is not ideal. I just moved from NJ to the city so I don’t have a dentist here yet. Being a new patient, I was hesitant but called them after finding them on Yelp and cross checking with my insurance’s website (Aetna). I told them the issue, and within 30 minutes I was back on the phone with them confirming a 4pm appointment. I have a bit of a dentist phobia, which I mentioned to them. Everyone in the office was amazing! Gabby, who was helping me most of my visit, was so calming and described to me everything the doctor and the hygienist were going to do to me. Dr. Jalbout is a wonderful dentist. I’ve been going to him for about three years, even though I moved to California. As soon as I know I’m coming back to New York for a visit, I book an appointment! Which, come to mention it, is easy to do because they have evening and Saturday hours. He is caring and thorough and I always feel like I’m in the best hands. I trust him more than any almost any medical professional I’ve seen (I went to the same pediatrician until I was 21 years old, otherwise he’d be at the top of the list!). I make sure that you receive the highest standard of care possible. At our office we specialize in personal care, making sure that you are happy with your results. Even when you book an appointment with our hygienist, I perform the oral examination and work with you on a treatment plan, if one is necessary. We want you to be happy with your smile. I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery, DDS degree in 2003 and completed a two-year full time Certificate in Implant Dentistry and a one-year full time Fellowship in Implant Dentistry at NYU. I am currently Clinical Associate Professor at New York University College of Dentistry where I have been teaching since 2004. I have taught in the Implant Division, the Comprehensive Dentistry Program and the Aesthetics Program at NYUCD. In June 2004, I authored The Glossary of Implant Dentistry, now being translated into more than 5 languages and published extensively on the subjects of aesthetics and implant dentistry.
