These guys are great. Dr. Charnas just gave me two small fillings and was skilled enough to not use any novocaine. The whole experience took about 30 mins and I don’t even feel like anything happened. Every time I come in my appts are quick, on schedule, and everybody’s polite and in a good mood. I’ve had a lot of bad dentistry in my life, so the contrast is great. Don’t plan on switching dentists as long as Dr. Charnas is still working.

what a lovely staff and environment! I have never felt so incredible at a dentist office. I was recently in for a whitening treatment after my regular checkup and I was expecting a lot more sensitivity and zero results. This was the first time I walked away pleased with my results with whitening. The hygienist was very nice and personable. A trait you don’t often find with dental offices. I will be back!

Great dental office with great team. Competent and friendly group with good healthy practices—health checks, face coverings and air purifiers. Very technically competent—they explain the subject and then do the job carefully and quickly. I’m going back without hesitation. I’m glad I found them.

I have been a going to Manhattan Dental Spa for over a year and plan on continuing to do so for a number of reasons: EXPERTISE — Whatever dental question you have, the team is more than willing to answer, even providing additional information you may not have known you even needed. —This is the first office where I feel as if procedures are accomplished more quickly than I’ve experienced previously. — When visiting elsewhere, there’s usually that one person who I feel is not as good as the others. Here, everyone is nice, patient, and (most importantly) knows what they’re doing. — If you have an emergency, any dentist within the practice can schedule to see you in a timely manner. — I love their tech. For example, you could see a 3D model of your teeth being constructed in real-time which is cool. COMFORT — Finally! Here’s an office that will provide light protection glasses against the headsets and tools. — Wait time is generally short, which I like. — If you wanted, you could purchase dental items such as specialized mouthwashes and electric toothbrushes at the dental office rather than buying online. The Dental Spa was originally recommended to me by a coworker and I’m glad she did. So far, everything is ‘sailing smoothly’ and there are actually a couple of us from my office going there now.

This place is amazing!!!!!!! My first visit there was absolutely amazing and they made me feel like royalty. From beginning to end it was great. All of the staff was super friendly, supportive, and very informative. If you care about your smile or just need a clean this is the place to go. Thank you all that assisted me and made my first visit so Great!!! I look forward to going again.

I have been coming here for three years now and I love this place.  My hygienist, Yokanna, is always so upbeat, that she makes the experience better.  Also, she gets me in and out, which is always appreciated!  Dr. Charnas is great and very nice as well.  I would recommend this office to anyone.

I went in for an emergency treatment after an impossible night of pain, and the level of service I received was outstanding. Within an hour I was in and out and with no more pain. I’m very thankful to this dental office and very impressed by the quality of all the people involved. Special thanks to Dr. Charnas and Dr. Neuman who were extremely helpful and professional. After some unfortunate dental insurance confusion, I have returned to MDS and my new hygienist Natasha is THEE BEST! I went in after not seeing anyone for a year (due to insurance issues), took some x-rays and Natasha told me that I need to a deep cleaning aka creepy medical term, Scaling & Root Planning. She showed me on the X-rays what to look for and I did see the build up and these flake looking type of formations between my teeth and gums. I was anything but thrilled as I assumed that I would need shots and I suffer from Belonephobia, so that was going to be a deal breaker. Thankfully MDS knows how to accommodate folks like myself! They gave me a Valium before my appt to help calm my nerves and before the procedure she applied a heavy duty numbing substance to my gums – so no needles needed. That combination did the trick! There were moments of discomfort but no all out pain by any means. If any area started to get sensitive, we did my whole mouth in one session so it took almost 2 hours to complete, she would just reapply that numbing stuff, work on another area and then go back to finish. All in all I am very happy that I did the procedure and very happy with the results and how great my teeth feel! One last thing, I just want to publicly thank Natasha for being such an awesome and patient hygienist. During my first visit back, once I learned I needed to get the S&RP, I had some serious anxiety, even some tears and she calmly talked me down and reassured me that she would do my procedure, she has had years of practice doing it and that she would make me comfortable. The day of, about 2 weeks later, she did exactly what she said she would do. She checked on me periodically during the procedure to make sure I was doing ok and even let me wear my headphones as a distraction to all the scraping she had to do. Awesome people in the medical field are hard to come by and Natasha is truly one of the best! I thank you Natasha!

I went in not expecting too much, despite the great reviews for this place. I’d booked a teeth cleaning through Gilt City and was pleased with the price, as I don’t have dental insurance. What I got was amazing. Rosana was my technician, and cleaned my teeth beyond what I thought was possible. I had some serious staining on my front bottom teeth I didn’t think was possible to remove, but she did! She gave me solid guidance on how to maintain my teeth (electric brush, tongue scraper, floss daily, mouth guard, types of tooth paste to use), and was incredibly pleasant. Dr. Charnas was also charming and kind, and I will definitely go back. They have a plan for people without insurance that is pretty reasonable, and their level of professionalism is second to none. Thank you!!

It is always a pleasant experience in this office. The staff is very friendly and professional. They definitely take away the dental office anxiety that I used to feel. Dr. Charnas is extremely friendly, kind and caring. He doesn’t rush and is very patient answering all of my questions. His work is superior compared to other dentists I have been to.

Can’t say one bad thing about this office! They are all wonderful! We have been working on getting my teeth perfect for my wedding, it’s been a process but between Karl, Dr. Charnas and their assistant Diny, they have all been super polite, personable and would recommend this office to anyone in need of a dentist here in NYC. If you are fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Charnas and Natasha count your lucky stars.  I am an anxious dental patient due to issues with the numbing agents not working and poor dental care as a child.  Dr. Charnas was endlessly patient, kind, and considerate. In addition, the front office staff is terrifically professional. Very short waits, easy to understand, and also patient. I moved out of NYC after having been a patient for over twenty years. And even though I needed braces from the first dental visit, we waited until technology exceeded my anxiety. over 15 years- that is real patience. The Invisalign really worked.
