Full disclosure…. I hadn’t been to a dentist in about two decades. I was scared… but more so I was in pain with a major toothache and I needed compassionate care, quickly. I called as soon as the office opened and they had me scheduled for an appointment within the hour. Amelia, the dental assistant I believe (excuse me for not knowing titles) was absolutely amazing. She was compassionate and reassuring. Dr. Jensen was also amazing, completely understanding and forthright with what options I had in front of me. I plan to go back and work out a plan for my ongoing dental health, which says a lot considering I wouldn’t step foot in a dentist office if you asked me a week ago. I would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone, in fact, I already have. Thank you so much!

Recently, I had an adjustment to a bridge located in the upper front of my month. The bridge had slipped and as a result I had an ugly black space showing whenever I smiled. Dr. Jensen adjusted that space and filled it with resin to match my bridge. It was a skillful procedure and the end result was a new smile. I highly recommend Dr. Jensen.

Extremely nice, caring and very empathetic staff. They really care about you and making sure you feel safe and comfortable. I was cold at one point and they even gave me a blanket. They kept me in on everything that was going on while working on me. Walked me through all my xrays and each thing that needed to be done. I chose to have everything done all in one day, at one time. They made it clear that they didnt want to pressure me into anything I wasnt comfortable with. I honestly wouldn’t want a different experience at the dentist. They are AMAZING and PHENOMINAL. Everyone was so kind here–the receptionist, hygenist and Dr. Jensen. He also talked to me beforehand to introduce himself and get to know me a little. They got me in quickly after I called and becoming a new patient was a breeze. Fantastic experience! I think Dr. Jensen might have one of the best assistants in the business, she has my vote. I had gone to another dentist on Eagle last year that was supposed to be “All About Me” but they were very pushy and I didn’t feel like I had much say in what I needed. They’d told me I “needed” a root canal and crown and that I “needed” to pay $800 up front because it was going to cost more than my insurance covers. Maple grove Dentistry pointed out to me that the cavity hasn’t even hit the root yet, and that it’s possible to fix without a root canal. And even if I do need a root canal down the road, they estimated that at worst case, their fee would still be within the limits of my benefits. So, I get a choice in the matter, AND reasonable pricing as well? I’m in. Further, they were cool people. Empathetic! Actually seemed to care. Made sure I understood the “why” rather than telling me what I “need”. You also get to see some rather hilarious pictures of yourself. 10 out of 10, I recommend it!

I had a very old bridge with an anchor tooth that was decayed. My former dentist gave me one option: pull it and do an implant. This was a front, visible tooth. I would have had a “flipper” for close to a year. Dr Jensen did a root canal with a post then a crown. This was a very practical answer. Dr Jensen was very thorough and precise. My crown matches my adjacent tooth perfectly!

I have had some very bad experiences when it comes to dental work. I had an emergency root canal which was the most painful experience of my life and I am very sensitive and dread going to the dentist. I have been to many dentist that claim to be gentle and the best at what they do. Dr. Jensen is hands down the best!!! He is professional, honest, genuine, kind, and does excellent work!!! I had a lot of pain and needed to find a dentist that could help me with my extraction. I needed someone and I needed it fast. My husband looked up emergency dentistry on Google. We got the most sweetest and understanding lady on the phone who set me up for an appointment. When I got there she remembered me she got me seen by the staff quick and painless. The doctor was honest. He did not try to cheat me out of any money. He treated my situation. They even offer a patient Referral program. For every person you refer the person gets $50 credit towards theirvdental work and so do you. Let them know I refered you Adriana Arnold is my name. I am the world’s biggest baby when it comes to going to the Dentist. Dr. Jensen was absolutely amazing at putting me at ease! His Dental Practice is beautiful, clean and spacious. His staff are efficient and very kind and personable. Dr. Jensen did a crown for me (which I have never had to have done) and I never even felt the shots that he gave me to numb the area that he was working on!! He let me know what he was doing before he did it, which made me feel even more at ease!! It is the first time I have ever left a Dentist’s office and felt like it had been a good experience!! I was having tooth and gum pain. The receptionist was so super friendly and checked my insurance coverage over the phone then got me in the same day. Dr. And his assistant were so kind and listened to me intently. After an x-ray and a cool electronic picture he numbed my gum and ended up pulling a chip of bone out of my gum! Fact: I DREAD going to the dentist. I’d rather have the stomach flu, or a toenail infection. It’s an unfortunate affliction. However, today my time was up, and I had to bite the bullet and walk myself into Dr. Jensen’s office. Well, my mom technically walked me in, because I needed the moral support. You’re never too old for your mom. I was greeted by the most wonderful, caring, understanding human (Erin). She sympathized with my anxiety, and she reassured me that Dr. Jensen is a real gem. She wasn’t lying. Then, I met with Dr. Jensen, and his AWESOME assistant, Jessika. I have NEVER met with a dentist before starting an exam or treatment, and it really helped put me at ease. Both Dr. Jensen and Jessika continued to reassure me throughout my appointment. I felt in control of my mouth, which helped me feel confident in the situation. Fact: If you wait too long to go to the dentist, you may end up with a couple of cavities. Spoiler alert: I have a couple of cavities. You know what though? I know I’m in really good hands, and I know I’m going to receive the same warm welcome and guiding hands the next time I am in for my fillings, and maybe, just maybe, I may not always dread going to the dentist. Time will tell. 😉 For my fellow Boiseans without dental insurance: The membership plan offered at Maple Grove is legit. Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend! Needed to establish a dentist since we moved to the area and I am so glad that we tried Maple Grove Dentistry first! The facility is very nice. I was impressed by both the office and equipment in how modern and clean everything felt. The staff are very friendly. All of the dental assistants are polite, pleasant to speak with, and have great attitudes. The Dentists also show a level of care and compassion that I have rarely experienced in past visits to other dentists. They also do not try to pressure you into products or services you don’t need. I was especially impressed with our dental assistant Laquoia who genuinely made me feel comfortable and welcome. For the first time in my life I am actually looking forward to going back to the dentist when it’s time for my cleaning!

I don’t normally leave reviews, however my experience was wonderful. Staff and Dr. Jensen were knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating. They asked for feedback and went over everything before, during, and after my cleaning. I appreciated this because I really dislike being asked so many questions and for feedback while someone has their fingers in my mouth I feel the need to answer but also not ideal in that position. I really liked that they took extra pictures besides the xrays and showed me everything going on within my teeth and gums, and were not pushy at all with anything needing to be done. They did not seem rushed or in a hurry to get out of there which was helpful too. Thank you!

I have been to a few dentists in the area and had estimates done on the restoration of my teeth. Dr. Jensen and his team are the best. They want to help and not try to only offer the most expensive plans. I had alot of tooth pain back in Sept 2019 and I called very late/early morning hours and Dr. Jensen answered the phone and not some answering service. He got his team together and got me in and took care of my situation. Dr. Jensen called later that evening to see how I was doing. Never been treated like that before. I had a dental emergency on Sunday Sept 2nd and my dentist was closed for the Holiday weekend and could not be reached. I tried for hours to find a dentist open on Sundays and Holidays and there were none until on my last attempt I found Dr Jensen. It had a cell # for emergencies and I called it and I caught Dr Jensen on his way back to Boise from a trip out of town. I told him my problema nd he said to meet him Monday(Labor Day)at his office and he would help me out. we met and I am going to have to have a root canal and crown done but he did what he could to replace the tooth that had completely broken below the gum and was gone. I cannot thank him enough for openning his office especiallt to see and help me.I am not an exhisting patient at his office but he still helped me out in a really tough situation. Best dental experience of my life! I had been experiencing lots of sensitivity in my teeth and so I was really nervous to go to the dentist. As a life long HATER of going to the dentist Maple Grove Dentistry has given me a reason to enjoy my 6-month cleanings like I never have. The staff at Maple Grove Dentistry is AMAZING!!! I really hate going to the dentist but every single person there is so welcoming, fun, nice, and they do a great job with your dental care. With Netflix so I can enjoy watching The Office while they work away, top end equipment which helped me discover I actually have wisdom teeth (I seriously never knew and I am 32, don’t make fun of me), and great judgement free education and care from Dr. Jensen. Not to mention their membership plan which is a huge benefit to family members I have that don’t have dental insurance and have been forced to avoid the dentist for years on end. Our office strives to provide quality dental care covering a wide range of services. Our goal is to provide the best oral health care possible to enable our patients to have the smiles they deserve through thoughtful, comfortable, clinically excellent and positively memorable experiences. Dr. Russ Jensen serves patients in Boise, Meridian and the surrounding Treasure Valley. He is a caring and sincere dentist who always puts his patients first. Your oral health and happiness with your smile is his primary concern. Dr. Jensen’s down-to-earth personality and strong ethical character ensures you will have an amazing experience. Dr. Jensen graduated from University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine where he received training in all aspects of general dentistry including tooth-colored restorations, crowns and veneers, infection and disease control, and tooth replacement. He sought out additional training in performing root canals, implants and cosmetic dentistry beyond the requirements for graduation. Following graduation, Dr. Jensen practiced in Great Falls, Montana where he treated many of the underserved in the area. Wanting to be closer to the family Dr. Jensen relocated to the Treasure Valley. He joined the Maple Grove Dentistry team and has been excited to be a part of the Boise dental community. Dr. Jensen is always looking for ways to improve the treatment and experience his patients receive. As a result, he continues to take continuing education courses in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry and sedation dentistry. Dr. Russ Jensen tries to complete 200 hours of continuing education every year. While out of the office, when not taking continuing education courses that will help him earn a fellowship with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Jensen enjoys spending time with his family. Whether it be trips to the zoo, hikes in the woods or playtime at the park Dr. Jensen likes to find fun activities that his whole family can enjoy. Dr. Jensen also enjoys photography, cycling, cooking, and skiing.
