I have been a patient for 16 years of Dr. McElroy’s and his incredible staff, and cannot say enough about what excellent care, service, professionalism, and their use of the most up-to-date equipment and techniques they use including an extensive amount of continued education that is evident. I also have my 88 year old mother coming to them, and she’s delighted being she’s had to have a lot of work done and it’s been pain free including all the little details to make her comfortable. I highly recommend them for the whole family!

Dr.Mac and Charisse are amazing, professional, quick, caring and knowledgeable! My boyfriend went in to take care of two teeth, he hasn’t been to the dentist in 8 years out if the fear of the dentist and of cost. Not only were the cost super reasonable, but most importantly you get what you pay for- THE BEST! Charisse makes you feel so at easy and is a great communicator when it comes to simplifying the procedure so we could understand. She was also super attentive to detail throughout the whole process. Dr. Mac has a great sense of humor with his patients, was quick and thorough and he’s just great at what he does! I keep getting more impressed with this office! My boyfriend actually got up from the dentist chair in a smile!! Thank you!!

I went to go see Dr.McElroy the other day, and wow I just impressed by the overall mannerisms from the staff and doctor! I got a tour of the office, they have tv screens in the rooms so you can watch movies while getting your teeth performed on, which I found impressive, because I know I would use them as a positive distraction! Also I got a free gift! The staff was just so friendly, attentive and made sure to answer all my concerns. Dr. McElroy himself was so good at asking the right questions to ensure I get what I wanted, but also gave his professional advice on what I needed. I’ve never felt so calm and welcomed at a dental office as I did this day. I will definitely be returning, as I trust this doctor and staff to care about my needs. Highly highly recommend! Thank you!

Dr. Greg McElroy is by far the best dentist I have ever seen. He genuinely cares for his patients, provides pain-free, speedy, and excellent work. He has a high tech office and in house lab where he makes crowns while you wait. He offers Invisalign, whitening, sleep apnea and dental appliances, and more. I can’t say enough about what a great office he runs. I have brought my whole family here, including my kids starting at age 3. He and his staff are great with kids. The best part about Dr. McElroy is the speed and painless way he performs drill work. He doesn’t over novacaine your face, he has never hurt me once, he does not waste movement or take out more tooth than he needs to. I really appreciate this skill most of all.

This is the one and only dental office I will ever go to! The staff at Smiles by design is just awesome. I’ve always had a fear of going to the dentist but what I like with this office is the option of getting laughing gas, it eases my visits so much because I am constantly nervous ( I have had bad experiences from previous dental offices) Plus their comfort menu, I always use earbuds, a blanket and they have a tv in their rooms so I can watch my favorite show while getting my teeth fixed

I have been avoiding going to a dentist for a number of years and when I finally had a dental emergency that needed immediate attention I chose the most convenient option. I work in the same building as Dr. McElroy and the office accepts my insurance. The reviews on the office were excellent and while I have a great deal of anxiety about going to the dentist I was already put somewhat at ease by the reports that this practice catered to my specific needs. I was wholly unprepared for the ease and level of service that I received on my first visit. Everyone from the front desk staff, to the assistant, to the doctor himself were so professional and understanding of my personal needs. The office is beautiful, clean, and inviting and has some of the nicest folks working there that I could ever have hoped for. They have features in place that help even an anxious person like myself find a level of comfort that I have never experienced at another practice in my entire life. The technology and equipment used was top of the line and made the entire experience so much easier and pain free. They quickly diagnosed my issue and set up a convenient appoint to correct the problem. Susan was an absolute gem and talked me through the billing process, offering me payment options that were realistic and tailored to my needs. When I returned for the procedure Dr. Haught took over and treated me with so much kindness and respect, and really made the entire procedure so painless and easy. Susan then walked me through my follow up plan for getting back to a positive place with my dental health without ever trying to upsell or push me to do any procedure that I was uncomfortable with. I love this office and I can’t possibly give a higher recommendation. Thank you Smiles by Design, you made a really scary event for me turn into an incredibly positive experience. Dr. Greg McElroy graduated from California State University Fullerton, then he earned his dental degree at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. As one of San Diego's leading cosmetic and restorative dentists, Dr. McElroy and his dedicated team at Smiles By Design are committed to being at the forefront of cosmetic dentistry techniques and technology. Dr. McElroy has completed studies at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and studied nation wide with top clinicians such as Dr. Bill Dorfman of ABC's Extreme Makeover.
