Dr. Hu of McLean Dental Center is an AMAZING dentist! Very talented and professional. He has a very gentle, kind, compassionate personality and puts you immediately at ease as soon as you meet him. I recently had an after-hours emergency with a broken crown on my front tooth the day before I was supposed to leave for Thanksgiving. I called the McLean Dental Center office and without hesitation Dr. Hu said “How soon can you get here?” I made it there by 7:30 p.m. and he was able to repair the front crown perfectly, and I was able to make it to my sister’s in Ohio the next day for the Thanksgiving holiday. I was 15 minutes early, and Dr. Hu and his team was still setting up the clinic (disinfecting the cubicles and devices) but I was taken care immediately. I was provided with the full information on the issue and options how can be done. I love the approach of giving time and space for the patient to decide. Most clinics push you to make decision right away, that is the reason I don’t stick to them. I think I found the right place…..love it.

Dr. Yang and Dr. Hu are amazing!!!! I had been putting off getting any dental work done for years because every dentist seemed to give me a different diagnosis/treatment plan. I couldn’t tell what I really needed and what I didn’t. My cousin, who is a practicing dentist, suggested me to go to a specialist because my case was too complicated for normal dentists. They were able to help me successfully restore my teeth. This practice (McLean Dental) consists of a married couple. I wish I had found them years ago. They are gentle practitioners and extremely knowledgeable in dentistry. I would NEVER go to anyone else. A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR

Dr. Hu was raised in Shanghai, China and graduated with a degree in dentistry from Shanghai Dental School in 1983. He then completed his resident training in all aspects of oral maxillofacial surgery and continued to teach at hospitals for many years. During his tenure, Dr. Hu received prestigious awards and was selected and awarded the Japanese Government Scholarship in dentistry. Dr. Hu obtained his PhD. in Oral Surgery at Saga Medical School, Japan by completing his research on immunotherapy for oral cancer and clinical training in implant surgery. Furthering his pursuit of dental excellence, Dr. Hu earned his specialist certificate of prosthodontics in New Jersey Dental School by completing a four-year training in a postgraduate program. Dr. Hu was awarded the Tylman Award by the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics in February of 2008. His research has been published in both national and international journals. Dr. Hu has enjoyed the many challenges of his dental career and is very happy to provide quality dental care with a personal touch.
