I rarely review medical practitioners but Dr Schweier truly deserves a five star for his warm professional bedside manner, meticulous examination and very effective but gentle treatment of oral cavity as well as other dental issues. I can tell he has a ‘patient first’ mentality and is very honest in his assessment. He won’t advise you treatments (especially costly ones) unless he feels you truly need it. I’ve had my fair share of dentists in three different states (NYC, GA, NC) but Dr. Schweier by far is the best. I can say this because (1) right before Labor Day, I woke up with severe tooth ache. I had no idea why. The clinic was able to see me that same day and Dr Schweier was able to quickly pinpoint the root cause after a thorough examination — it turned out my tooth nerve had died and I needed a root canal. He had a strong sense of urgency and really wanted to make sure this gets addressed ASAP as more severe things can happen if the root canal treatment gets postponed. Keep in mind root canal is not a short process and I was nervous about going back home with a tooth ache and things getting worse. Even though he had a tight schedule, he was gracious enough to move things around and treated me right away! If he hadn’t done that, my Labor Day weekend would’ve been miserable with the severe front tooth ache and I would be worried about infection. I really appreciate his sense of urgency and care for me! (2) I dread any form of cavity drilling and mentioned this to Dr. Schweier. In my experience, anesthesia never eliminated the pain and that nerve pinching discomfort from drilling. But today during my visit, Dr. Schweier and his assistant Joice were super gentle and made the drilling and cavity filling absolutely painless!!! To my surprise, this is a first for me! He joked he’ll increase the anesthesia dosage but I’m sure his skilled techniques played a big role. He and Joice really make a great team and he treats his staff with respect which is great. (3)receptionists and assistants are very professional and nice. I also got my teeth cleaned here by the hygienist – she’s very thorough and takes her time. I definitely recommend Dr. Schweier for anyone!

I have been going to Melrose Family Dentistry for more than 30 years. The staff is caring and treats people like part of a family. Val has been my hygienist for many of those years and I love her!! Dr Schweier recently made a cosmetic improvement to my front tooth. Probably un-noticed by the general public but I was thrilled with the results. Highly recommend.

I am truly one of those people who hate to go to the dentist, but I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Schweier and his staff at Melrose Family Dentistry! He is kind and calming, especially for anyone who is anxious about visiting the dentist, from the youngest children to adults. And his clinical work is superb. His staff is friendly and communicates effectively to schedule and confirm appointments, process payments, and implement their COVID protocols. My family and I have been with Melrose family dentistry for over 5 years. I can honestly say that Dr. Schweier is truly exceptional dentist. He was very gentle during all of my procedures and always explained everything in detail. He takes care of my 2 children ( 3 and 6 year old) as well and they are always excited to go back. From Erin squeezing me in with an issue today, to techs Jennifer and Rachele, I have been wowed with their length of service here to their professionalism and knowledge.( weird but everyone seems happy while working?? ) Dr. Sweier is so very gentle and LISTENS to your specific concerns, examines you and looks at your situation from every angle before suggesting a care plan. I have been going to this practice for years but never had what I would call an acute issue. But I started having pain in my front teeth. I called and was given an appointment right away. It so happened that I was leaving on a trip in four days, and I needed a root canal. Dr. Schweier and the staff took care of everything right away so that I could go on my trip. He was very concerned and accommodating. I appreciate everything he and the staff did to make sure I could travel, and I had no discomfort at all.

There is something about Melrose Family Dentistry makes going to the dentist painless. Dr. Schweier is an amazing dentist. His knowledge and skills surpasses any other dentist I have seen. He is friendly, kind and has the patience of a saint. With my family, he has to be patient! He and the entire staff, from the front desk to the hygienists and assistants, go out of their way to make a patient comfortable. There are never surprises as each procedure is explained thoughtfully all the way to the cost. Again. No surprises. By far this is the best dental office I have gone to and I recommend them 100%.

I had an abscess and was seen right away w/Dr. Bernadette who did a thorough exam of my entire mouth/teeth. They saved my tooth in the front which had a previous root canal and with the expertise of Dr. Gabriel Schweier he performed a retreat of my tooth with a previous root canal; without the need of extract and/or dental implant; etc. I still need more work done and am happy to keep my teeth; as it has been quite a long time since I’ve had Delta Dental; and; therefore, neglected my teeth for quite some time as I did not have the funds to cover the expens(es) associated therewith.

Love my new smile!!! Before finding Melrose Family Dentistry I was not happy with my smile. The coloring and enamel had dulled over the years and my teeth had shifted after having braces as a teenager. For a little over a year or I was in search of a new dentist I could trust and rely on. I live locally and my insurance was accepted at Dr. Schweier’s office so I gave them a try. The warm hand treatment with lotion while getting your teeth cleaned was the first nice touch that got me hooked. Then I met Dr. Schweier and he was great from day one and every day after that. For almost two years I have been going to Melrose Family Dentistry largely do to the service, results, and the great team. I started with Invisalign to straighten my teeth, next laser of my gums to even my gum line and reduce my gummy smile, to the final finishing touch of front top vaneers for larger , straighter, and whiter teeth. I love them! And all the work that has been done. I have been smiling with my mouth shut for years and now can proudly open my mouth to smile! If you are thinking about Vaneers, Invisalign, or Gum contouring you should go in for a consult and I promise you will not be disappointed.
