I want to share an outstanding experience I had this week at Mercer Sydel Dental in Dover Delaware. First things first, I want to thank Ms. Rachel for outstanding customer service skills and assuring me that this was the place for me to receive adequate service and care. My second encounter was an extremely wonderful young lady named April who conducted my X-ray and prepared me for the doctor. Here is my testimony world. Customer service Outstanding, Dental office CLEAN , SAFE and extremely welcoming. Experience OUTSTANDING. At this office You will receive Professional outstanding care. Dr. Andy Mercer who was my Dentist had extremely professional CHAIR SIDE MANNERS. He took the time to explain X-ray and upcoming procedure to follow. Dr.Mercer proceeded to extract 3 teeth out my mouth 2 being wisdom teeth out of my MOUTH WITHOUT AN OUNCE OF PAIN. You heard me right NO PAIN. Might I add within minutes I kept asking him are you sure you took them out. WORLD I HAVE DISCOVERED AN ANGEL POSING as a DENTIST. Do yourself a favor. Get to this office FAST. This was my Greatest dental experience to date. My recovery time was even greater than my experience. I CAN NOT WAIT For MY NEXT APPOINTMENT. I have even convinced my Husband, Children and friends to come and join me on a quest to better our oral health. THANK YOU AGAIN DR.ANDY MERCER FOR MASTERING IN YOUR CRAFT. After to bad experiences with two other previous dentist Elkton md, and Bear Delaware you have have restored my faith and confidence in Dentist. I have been a patient of Mercer Dental (now called Mercer Sydell Dental), for over 30 years . I would never go anywhere else. I started as a patient of Dr. Tomas Mercer, and continued with him as the practice grew. Today, the practice has evolved, the name has changed as a new partner, Dr. Sydell joined, along with the super team of dentists, Drs. Sean, Tom & Andrew Mercer & Dr. Giaccone, making this office into one with state of the art equipment, innovative technology and dental professionals who are always keeping up to date with any new advancements in dentistry. The office staff and Dental Hygienists are always pleasant, courteous and professional. This practice is a true asset to the Dover and Milton, DE community.

My family has been going to Mercer Sydell for over 17 years. The staff is friendly (April!) they’re always happy to see you, concerned for your well being and take the time to ensure you fully understand what is going on. They always work to ensure you are aware of and on board with all treatment plans. Thank you!

New to the area, I fractured a molar. When I called, the receptionist was helpful and understanding. Lucky enough to be fit in, I arrived to the pleasant office but didn’t spend long in the waiting room before being seen. The technicians, assistants and dentist were all wonderful, making an uncomfortable situation better than I could have hoped for.

I haven’t been to the dentist in a long time partly to fear from my last dental visit experience, my kids have been coming here and they always do great with them so I built the courage to go in for a visit today, I knew I needed a lot of work done but they made me feel safe, made sure I was ok, and didn’t make me feel bad for neglecting my dental health, the hygienist was super friendly and had great education materials and tips for me and Dr. Sean was friendly and came up with a great plan for me. I will definitely come here for all my dental needs and for my children as well!

My new dentist is in Milford.  First visit was a very good one.  Jennifer is an amazing dental technician and she is very gentle.  The ambience is very relaxing and very well executed.  The office staff is very friendly and welcoming.  Hard to believe that going to the Dentist doesn’t have to be a bad experience.  Thank you Dr Sean.

From the second I called I was taken care of from beginning to end with the utmost care. 5 stars isn’t enough for how prompt, professional, friendly and customer service oriented the entire staff was about getting my young child in and accommodating him and I the entire way through! (Which truth be told, isnt always easy with my son.) Friendly, top notch, informative. They made the dentist office my sons new favorite place!! Thanks so much!

Mercer Sydell Dental is an awesome dentistry for anyone who is in need of top-notch dental care and treatment! Their facilities are immaculately clean, state-of-the-art, and very well kept! All of the staff, assistants, receptionist, and doctors are extremely courteous, helpful, friendly, and most importantly, totally professional and they express immense concern and care for all of their patients! Best dentistry experience I have ever had in my entire life, and I am so happy to have found such an amazing dentist to have all my dental care and needs taken care of! Truly an excellent experience all the way around, and I would refer them to anyone who needs a trustworthy and experienced dentistry to address their needs!

I have dental anxiety and have not been to a dentist in years. The staff was very welcoming. My dental hygienist was amazing. She was sweet, gentle and very attentive to my anxiety. She made the experience very smooth and stress-free and actually has me not dreading my next appointment. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love love love Mercer Sydell Dental my son has been going there since he was a child (he’s now 19) I took my daughter for her first appointment the other day (shes 2)and they were so great with her she didn’t cry or move at all they was so patient took the time to explain everything to her and me they made her feel so comfortable and she did great I would recommend any age!!

The hygienist was thorough and very friendly. Their precautions against COVID-19 were very good, although they missed out on opening the door for me when leaving, and it seems they use only surgical masks, not N95s–this is probably fine for the client but not necessarily for them. Close contact with staff is kept to the minimum and there is no contact with the public. Exam doctor was fine as well.

It was my 1st time there, everyone was very personable and professional. My husband and granddaughter both go there and convinced me to give up my dentist I’ve had for over 25 yrs. I did not regret it Dr Mercer even reccomend I should see my periodontist. 5 stars

Best dentist I’ve ever been to. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Dr. Sean is awesome!! I have been extremely pleased with his work (crown and a filling) and would recommend him to anyone. I’ve been seen on time every time with no more than a two to three minute! You will not be sorry you try them!

The entire office is very professional & friendly. My hygientist, Carol is very thorough & makes me feel that I am very important to her. Throughout the appointment we related on a number of levels thereby making the experience even better. On this occasion Dr Sean completed the exam after reviewing Carol’s gum measurements & observations. Upon leaving I continued to feel that Mercer Sydell Dental is the best choice hands down!

They are absolutely the best !! I fell and busted my front tooth last night. They took me in this morning, and my tooth looks better than ever !!! Wonderful staff too. Dr Mercer is such a perfection with a sweet personality. Thank you so much !!!

I am so excited to find such an accommodating and friendly staff. I set up a cleaning appointment and they called me back the same day and got me in with a cancellation! The cleaning was very thorough and the best I’ve ever had. They do a complete history and health evaluation as well. Dr. Mercer explained some concerns and a plan for some work I need and I couldn’t be more pleased and confident that I’m in good hands. I can’t say enough good about the professionalism and friendliness. They really have a concern for your comfort and the level of your tolerance and fear of dentists. For the first time in my life I was happy after going to the dentist!

Hands down the best dental experience I’ve ever had.  Came highly recommended by a friend and I was actually thinking about getting her a thank-you gift for the info!  *Beautiful office with a genuinely friendly and knowledgeable staff.  My hygienist today (Brandy A+++) wowed me as she pulled up an article concerning a thyroid condition I have and how it coorelates to my dental health and conditions I was currently experiencing.  I had mentioned the thyroid condition on my new client forms and was pleasantly surprised that she took the time to review that information before I sat in the chair!  My last dentist was such a nightmare- this office is a dream come true.

I have not been pleased with many business’s since I relocated to Milford. I also had been with the same dentist for years and was very reluctant to try a new one. For the record.. I’m very picky and I hate germs! The staff at this Milton office has been absolutely wonderful so far! I’ve had 2 cleanings and yesterday recieved a new plate and partial. I will report again after they’ve been in for a while but so far these are the best looking and best fitting EVER! My doctor and her assistant are friendly, professional, on time, and have displayed an attitude of wanting to do their best work at every level of my care. The offices are clean and everyone I’ve seen has practiced great hygiene techniques. The ladies at the front I can’t leave out. They always have smiles and I always enjoy laighing with them!

I would like to take a moment to tell you how grateful i am of you… you truly are a God sent…. i have always had fear of dental work being done on me an have neglected my teeth over the fear an lack of money… you are very gentle an caring with your work…. you are amazing an you staff are very sweet… your office is very welcoming… an at home feeling…. thank you so much for all you do i would recommend any one with any dental needs to come see you.

I’ve always heard horror stories about going to the dentist but I have to say that my experience at Mercer Sydell Dental was the total opposite. From the moment I walked in until the time I left I was treated like I was valued. All my questions were answered, I was given options for different procedures and the most important result is that I’ll have my teeth before I go on vacation. My first visit there, I had a severe toothache and they were able to see me almost immediately, the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. Dr Mercer was one of the best dentists I’ve ever seen in all aspects, and I left there feeling 100% better, I wouldn’t go anywhere else after my experience there.

Not a month or two after Dr Sean made my bridge with absolutely no discomfort what so ever, he was given the opportunity to perform miracles on me again! While eating a lobster, I bit down hard on a piece of shell and broke my tooth. Not only did he let me come in to see him the very next morning at 9:00 AM, but he actually repaired the tooth during that same appointment. In an hour my tooth looked even better than it had before, and I felt no pain or discomfort! Dr Sean is the best, as well as everyone working at Mercer and Sydell. So – who wants to go to the dentist? My visits to this dental office, with Dr. Sean and his assistant Madison, could not have been better. The work was very professional, and every step very well explained, I did not feel rushed, and I am very pleased with the result of the procedure.

Since moving to Delaware earlier this year I’ve had occasion to call Mercer Sydell due to a dental emergency and have since established as a regular patient. The entire office staff are well trained in their profession and care about the patient.They also go above and beyond to ensure the patient is safe in the current environment but more importantly the staff seem to take extra precautions to ensure the safety of themselves and the patients. I highly recommend them for your dental needs.

Brandy is very nice and always does an excellent job each time I see her. I really appreciate her expertise in keeping my teeth and gums healthy. My appointment today with Dr. Sean Mercer and his assistant was a pleasure. Their expertise was very appreciated also. The front desk receptionist is very pleasant and helpful always. Needed a new Dental Office. Found Mercer-Sydell Dental. Have had one cleaning and one new crown done. Dr. Sean is very good. Kristy who does the cleaning is good. So if you are looking for Dental needs go and see Mercer-Sydell Dental!!! Everyone in the office is very friendly and helpful!!

Everyone in this place is awesome!! However, I’ve been seeing Sean for the dental procedures I’ve been getting done and he has been PERFECT. He’s made my smile beautiful and made me actually want to show my smile again! I couldn’t ask for a more comfortable dentist and assistant through this journey and I’m thankful for what you’ve done for me, my smile, and my self esteem!

My wife and I recently moved to Delaware and have not selected a dentist. After this experience, we have found the one. Everyone was attentive from the intake to the Dentist. As an aside the treatment rooms are light and airy and calming all at the same time. Dr. Mercer was informative and answered all my questions. I had a molar which chipped off a corner with an old filling. The numbing was painless and the new filling was great. My teeth seem to fit better together after the new filling. I felt that they really enjoyed providing you with a good experience and technically they are excellent.

The front office staff is super friendly, the check-in process was easy, I spent virtually no time in the waiting room, Kristy was so kind and gentle during my cleaning, Adam answered all of my questions regarding future treatments and I really enjoyed and appreciated the payment plan they offer! Not only was my experience as a patient exceptional but the entire office provided all of this while upholding and maintaining COVID precautions. I will certainly be returning for future routine exams and recommend everyone join this practice. Thank you Mercer Sydell Dental!!!
