Dr.Kothary is amazing and knowledgeable.Before she does anything she will ask you if you have any pain or if anything is bothering you. After explaining your concerns to her, she will figure out why you have that pain and she will go above and beyond after that. I got my filling replace with her since my filling were crack as well some of my filling were coming off already. Dr. Kothary did what she does best, she started to fix my grill. After telling her a specific tooth was really bothering me she told me that I had a cavity and that the cavity was already to deep down and she recommended me to get a crown done, but before going that route SHE TOLD ME, She was going to fill it in and hope the pain goes away. If the pain doesn’t goes away or if it still bothers me we will need to replace my tooth with with a crown.( I appreciate you filling my tooth first to see if the pain went away , I saw your intentions of saving me money and hoping I didn’t need to get a crown done.) After, getting my crown replace all the pain went away and I’m very happy with the result, staff ,Dr.Kothary and Dr.Shau for taking care of me and going above and beyond. I’m currently under the Invisalign treatment since I told Dr.Kothary I wanted to have a nice straight smile. This place rocks! Everyone is friendly and everyone must check this place out. I doubt anyone can beat her service!!!!

Dr. Kothary was wonderful, and so we’re everyone in the office. I did have to wait but there was an emergency and every one came to me and apologized individually. They more than made up for it, it was only a few minutes. You can tell they really care about their patients on a personal level, they not only tell you what is necessary but educate on what exactly you need and why. This was my first appointment with them and will be returning for all future visits, I would definitely recommend them.

I have been going to Meridan Dental Associates for a long time. For reasons I won’t go into here, it can be a challenge to clean my teeth — and so when I find a really good and patient dental hygienist, it is a special day for me. That person was Lori. I am due for another cleaning soon, but I just was informed that she is no longer working here. If you know which practice Lori is at now, please let me know. Or if you are Lori, please email me. Travis is a Dental Hygenist that is relatively new at the office. He came from Napa area and has previous experience. The experience with Travis was more than I could of ever hoped for. I have had deep pockets for a while. He did a “planing” or measuring first and not only reported results but explained to me the improvement from 4, 5 & 6 mm to 2,2,3mm everywhere he measured. The comparison was on my request but he spent the time to do it and answer questions about how it came about because of using a soft bristle “baby” toothbrush the dentist-Dr Kothary had told me to use. I was shocked how much improvement in my not so deep pockets anymore. What a nice surprise. He spent a full hour on me. I keep tartar buildup to a minimum and he acknowledged that by saying: “I wish I had some cleaning work to do here!” The best part is here: I told him the hygenist I had before and before that one at this office leaves my teeth not so white and I wish it could be better. He said, because of my receded gums he couldn’t use the power tool with the water that maximizes stain removal. He had to scale my teeth manually. But he went to seek advice and returned with another hygenist who said to use Pumice. So he took the power tool with the rubber pocket they use to power clean with that minty polish material. Instead, he put Pumice, a soft but slightly gritty material in the tool. He did all my teeth inside and out. When done, he apologized to me if my teeth were not white enough. I didn’t realize the result until I got home and looked in my mirror and couldn’t believe what I saw. My teeth were as white as I can remember them ever being over the last 20 years and I’m not joking. Not that they were solid brown. Gracious no but they were stained especially the inner half on the outside and inside. Now they are white again, like a 9 out of 10. If anyone needs a good hygienist, go see Travis and tell them Doug sent them. Thanks Travis for all you do and just please, don’t leave Dr Kothary’s Meridian Av San Jose office!

Ok, so I’m updating my previous post. The individual rooms do feel a little small, but who cares. I’m pretty young, so it’s nice to go into a place where you can relate to the staff, instead of have a bunch of old dinosaurs up in your grill. Everyone was pretty young, hip and fun. The staff seemed to be in a good mood, and it didn’t feel like everyone was running around like chickens with no heads. Then I met the Dr. She’s super cool, and down to earth. She made sure I understood everything before moving onto the next item. I can’t even count the amount of times my poor brain has been exposed to radiation (mostly my own klutzy fault) and when I showed concerned of needing MORE x-rays, she put me at ease and even explained the amount of radiation for the particular x rays she ordered. She also taught me a kick ass way to floss my teeth, which I’m totally feeling this morning, but I love it! I didn’t feel like they forced any treatments on me, they told me what I need vs. what’s optional and let me think about it before absolutely forcing me to make a decision right then. It’s so nice to go in and not feel so pressured, especially for a girl like me that doesn’t like to say No all the time (I think I may be allergic to the word) I could hear what was going on in the room next to me, and I could tell the Dr. was just as courteous to that patient as she was to me. I feel really confident she knows her stuff (plus her teeth look amazing). I’d recommend anyone who goes to Silicon Valley Dental, switch… I promise you won’t regret it.

Dr. Kothary and the staff were all great! They’re all very friendly and welcoming, they were able to put my kids fear of the dentist at ease. The office is very clean, they were able to squeeze us in their busy schedule. We were able to be seen right away with very little wait time. My kids exam and cleaning was very well done with zero pain and no problem. Both my Daughter and Son are cavities free! :)I’m glad we gave Meridian Dental Associates a try. We will definitely be returning for our routine check ups  and refer our friends and family to this great practice!

You need to see it to believe! Dental is the first thing to your healthy life, and I believe I have found Dr.’s whom do cares. yes, the Dr.’s did diagnosed, and treatment were presented. But I feel comfortable when I walk in and when I left the office. I have options not force to treatment like with the previous office I went to previously. Business is business, but Doctors are always make sure I understood my treatment before I commit to it. I don’t know about others, but I feel comfortable when I have my dental treatment done at Meridian Dental.

Highly recommended, I’ve been coming year for as long as I can remember and I’ve never had a bad experience. The doctors are so friendly and take great care of me. Whenever I leave this place I always feel more confident knowing my teeth are making progress each time coming. Manager is so friendly to and helps so much and explains everything. Office is very clean and organized, very nice. Love this place so much!!

I’m a patient of Medical Dental Associates, and I am very fond of Cassondra. She is such an awesome person, she explains everything to the patient, is very smart and has a lot of patience. She’s an excellent receptionist, everybody in the office is also very nice it makes you feel like your a part of the family and you leave with a smile.

Still going to Meridian Dental and still very happy. Just went for an emergency tooth ache last week, which they correctly diagnosed as a side effect of my sever sinusitis. The dentist thoroughly explained why I was experiencing the dental pain and that it should go away but call her if it doesn’t. She was spot on. No dental work needed. She spent more time with me than my doctor had the day before. My kids go there too and I am a very protective mother

The office atmosphere was nice and clean. The staff was very kind. Dr. Kothary is professional yet very fun and easy to talk to. She explained everything clearly and explained step by step what I needed to do as far as keeping healthy teeth. She was awesome!! Highly recommended!!!

I was concerned about finding a “good” dentist who understood my situation and wouldn’t “judge”. Meridian Dental was excellent. They made me feel comfortable from the scheduler to the Dentist. I can’t begin to express my thanks for their professionalism, comfortable setting, and understanding. They really were great! The financial assistant was also wonderful in getting me a great price for the extensive procedures I had to have.

I’m giving Merdian Dental 5 stars because the hard working staff. I’m a client for ortho and I just love the way the staff treats me. Karla Jurado is so careful, patient, attentive, friendly, and pays close attention to detail. Karla has been my ortho assistant and is one I can honestly say has been around for my entire 2 years of ortho. My orthodontist was switched on me twice, which sucked because I would had like having just one but they both were very professional and gave me the same diagnosis that I needed. The place is small but very clean. The parking can be a hassle because there is a clinic next door. Also, traffic on Merdian can be very annoying! I’m very happy to have my ortho done with Merdian dental because I feel that staff really pays attention to my needs.

I have had a fear of dentists since my first trip to a dentist at 5 so finding a new dentist I can trust and feel comfortable with after not seeing a dentist for way to long was not an easy task.  I was lucky my husband found the doctors at Meridian Dental. Even with much work to be done I am confident in their work and recommend them when someone recently asked for a dental recommendatio

I have come here twice now for dental care and love the service! I was shown how by using the flossing sticks and my method of flossing, was allowing plaque to build up on my teeth so the dentist, Dr. K walked me through how to properly do it. I’m still practicing her method but can already tell the difference. I need new crowns and a veneer (done at a different location) and they walked me through the procedure. I really appreciate how they truly care about my long term health (I was told a brief summary on the reasons why it’s important to floss and how plaque can enter the bloodstream, etc) and that the staff followed up with me.  On a different note, while in the waiting room I heard multiple language being spoken by both the staff and the patients (I think three in total). It was really great to see such a diverse atmosphere.

I’ve been a patient here for almost 2 years and I really don’t have anything but nice things to say about this office. The staff always welcomes you right when you walk in. Dr. Kothary does an excellent job explaining treatment so you know what’s going on and what to expect. I actually feel comfortable while going to the dentist.

I am from Western New York and was visiting my son in San Jose.  A large filling in my wisdom tooth fell out and Dr. Kothary saw me in less than 24 hours.  Dr. Kothary fixed my wisdom tooth, found an infection in the tooth next to it; treated that and saved my vacation.  Dr. Kothary was professional, gentle and the kind of a dentist that I wished I had in Western New York.  I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs a dentist.

Wow! I read some of the other reviews and wonder about them. My experience at Meridian Dental is totally different. I have had a history of dental problems. When I went to Dr. Kothary, things changed. She told me right away that I was probably brushing my teeth incorrectly and my flossing was not very thorough, meaning that for seventy years I had not taken care of my teeth very well. Since I have followed her guidance and dental treatments, my teeth have never been better. I love her staff, especially Jennifer, the dental tech. When Dr. K found an infection near a wisdom tooth (which I thought a previous dentist had removed), she immediately had her staff set up an appointment with an oral surgeon, who did an excellent job to take care of the matter. With her help, I should keep my teeth for the rest of my life and enjoy eating with real teeth. Thank you Dr. Kothary and staff.

I had an appointment at this office for right after covid-19 began so of course I lost out. Not the fault of anyone there. Then, miraculously I got a call and a new appointment! This was for a deep cleaning, usually not a fun thing. I was introduced to Travis, who proceeded to very professionally numb my mouth, do all the necessary cleaning and get through the entire process faster than expected! I am very pleased about the result as well as how personable and upbeat he was throughout the visit. I even got a “goody bag” afterwards. Also, I want to mention how awesome as a group the staff is every time I go there! Keep up the good work and thank you!

I had a bridge that failed about a year ago. I was told that I had to extract the front tooth, have an oral surgery, and have a root canal for the back tooth and then they had to drill another tooth and install a longer bridge over all of them. I went to many dentists and they told me the same thing, until I went to Dr. Madani and he referred me to Meridian Dental Associates. I went there and Dr. Kothary and Dr. Madani installed two crowns next to each other and solved the problem without extraction, oral surgery, root canal, or additional drilling. Dr. Kothary and Dr. Madani and rest of the staff at the Meridian Dental Associates did a great job and fixed the problem I had for a long time.
