Doctor Al and his staff are absolutely amazing. I needed major work done and I am not the easiest patient but Dr Al is extremely professional and thorough. I recently moved to Costa Mesa and I needed some dental work so I started looking for a dentist.  I found one with decent reviews who was close by and I went for a check up.  Basically I was pleased with how I was treated, but I wanted to consider the proposed treatment plan, especially because it turns out I needed more work than I thought and it was going to cost a lot.  Then it seemed like overnight they turned into a used car place and they were calling me and trying to convince me that I should come in to start the work and that while it was going to be expensive I was getting a lot for my money.  I shied away from their high pressure tactics and with a little more searching I found Mesa Dental and I decided to get a second opinion.  Turns out the staff at Mesa Dental was helpful, courteous, and professional, right up to and including, most importantly, Dr. Al.  The fees for the work were much more reasonable and, feeling positive about Dr. Al, I went ahead and had him do the work.  It took 3 visits but they did a great job, and that includes the actual dental work of course, but also the way I was treated by everyone throughout.  I feel good about recommending this dentist.  It’s not always easy to find a good one so I figured why not share the good news.  I bet even the best providers get the occasional bad review, but the bad one I noticed here was a complaint that no one was at the front to greet her when she walked in.  If it matters to anyone, you may take note that when I walked in there was a very courteous and efficient member of the office staff there who did an excellent job of greeting me.

Best dentist visit EVER!!! From the time you call and talk to Ellie to walking into front office. Susan, Letty, Norma are the  friendliest staff. They welcome you and make sure you are relaxed and comfortable through the whole process.I’ve had regular check-ups, refill of old fillings, and crown moldings…I have never had Implants and to be honest I was scared. Their prices are solid and no hidden fees. This was the smoothest experience I’ve had. They were in constant communication to explain the next process and constantly checking on you to assure you are relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Al is so smooth, quick and efficient in what he does. I did not even feel any pain when he was administering the local, not even initial prick of the needle.I was bit reluctant in changing my dentist. But now, I’m sure glad I did. I will continue with Mesa Dental.

Yesterday I had my first visit at Mesa Dental Center and I will definitely be back! I went in with tooth pain and left the office pain-free! Bonus: I was in and out of there pretty quickly. Dr. Al was great. Very friendly, accommodating, and great at what he does. Tooth pain is the worst, and I’m so grateful for Dr. Al and his sweet staff for getting me all fixed up!

I’ve been coming to Mesa dental since 2015 and wouldn’t go to any other dentist. The office staff is great! I never have an issue with making my appointments they are always kind, caring and courteous. Hisham AL Khateeb DDS makes you feel welcome he’s always smiling and eager to take care of ANY needs. I had one of my wisdom teeth pulled today, the actual extraction took less than 10 minutes and I was out the door. It’s comforting knowing I have a dentist who I can trust. 🙂

Just had my teeth done at Mesa Dental. They did an amazing job. Suzanne was very hospitable and found every way possible for my insurance to cover most of my cost. I have always been afraid of going to the dentist. Dr. Al made me feel very comfortable. I did not experience any pain or discomfort.

Service is incredibly friendly, and  Dr. Al  took time to explain  the necessary treatment plan
– There is a strong focus on preventative care and cleaning
– They appear to have a conservative bias towards treatment plans – and. they aren’t in a big hurry to rack up fees by performing unnecessary or questionably necessary service.  The place is sparkling clean with state of the art equipment.  I was very pleased withthe fact that they are open till 7 on Tuesdays.
