This is a great dental office. I have been coming here for 20+ years. Dr. Barnes has done a couple of crowns and an implant – the man is an artist and has always strived to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Angie and Valerie have both cleaned my teeth – they are both great. All of the staff are wonderful. That has been my experience. Highly recommended!

Thank You Dr. Barnes for the excellent experience on my getting my teeth cleaned. From Susie, at the front desk, helping me find the time that works in my busy schedule to come into the very professional dental hygienist, Valerie, being so good at her job that I actually found getting my teeth cleaned relaxing. Dr. Barnes and his staff have consistently taken great care of me. If I’m nervous, he’ll take the time to talk me through my anxiety. He really cares about his patients and is great at getting you in quick if you have an emergency. I recommend him to all my friends and neighbors. I highly recommend Dr. Barnes if you are nervous at the dentist because he and his staff’s warm personality will help anyone get over their fears of going to the dentist. Dr. Barnes just completed my bridge replacement and crown work and I can’t say enough about the professionalism, and warmth of he and the staff here. The process took close to 8 months and numerous visits to get everything dialed, and everything went like clockwork. Great practice. Angie did an excellent job cleaning my teeth both times I’ve been here. In fact, the first time I feel like she spent 2 hours working off my years worth of tartar (get your teeth cleaned every 6 months kids)! She really took pride in her work. Dr. Barnes is a good and honest dentist. He won’t tell you that you need work if you don’t really need anything. And the girl at the front desk was welcoming and nice! I will be back.

Our dental family begins with Dr. David Barnes starting his practice here in the beautiful city of Newport Beach in the 1960s. Dr. Michael Barnes followed in his father's footsteps and they worked together for many years until his father's retirement. Dr. Michael Barnes has been practicing for about 30 years now and is very proud to continue serving the community where he grew up and enjoys bringing all of his patients the very best professional and personal care that he possibly can. Our fabulous dental assistants and friendly hygienists are very committed and enjoy providing exceptional dental care to everyone that walks through our door as if they are family. Dr. Michael S. Barnes is a member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry, and Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is a graduate of University of Utah in 1985 with a degree in medical biology, and a graduate of University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1989. He has been practicing in Newport ever since. Dr. Barnes specializes in cosmetic dentistry, including implants, bridges, nightguards, and veneers. Your smile is as important to him as it is to you.
