I’ve been had Dr Cushman during my college (2016-2018) and he’s always v caring and thorough w my dental checking. I’ve had my root canal done in late 2017 – it was successful and great ever since. Really appreciate for his help over time and would highly recommend his office to all nearby residents!

I had never been to Dr. Cushman before but was unable to see my dentist and I called his office very early in extreme pain. They weren’t open yet but I was redirected to what seemed like his home, where a lovely woman took my information and I was contacted as soon as the office opened. They squeezed me in and were extremely kind and helpful as I am terrified of the dentist. I was very impressed with this kind of service and for someone who I have never even seen before. I plan on making Dr. Cushman my dentist for my future dental work, he’s awesome.

Dr. Cushman is great! I had to get a cavity filling fixed and I was very nervous. I told Dr. Cushman about my nervousness and he was very understanding! He used extra precaution when numbing me for the procedure and talked to me to keep me calm. He made me feel very comfortable! I highly recommend that others who dread going to the dentist see Dr.Cushman!

This is a wonderful, caring dentistry office.  I was visiting from out of town and had a dental emergency;  my husband tried calling several other places closer to our hotel, but none of them wanted to be bothered seeing me, even though we have excellent insurance.  Finally, my husband called Dr. Cushman’s office.  From the very beginning, Dr. Cushman and his staff made it clear that they cared.  The people in his office are kind and responsive.   And Dr. Cushman himself is easy to talk to;  it is clear that he is highly experienced and skilled, and he also knows how to speak to patients as if they’re intelligent.  There is nothing condescending about him.  I left feeling as if I had been taken care of by someone who really had my best interests at heart–even though we just met.   We were so lucky to find him.  If I didn’t live 3000 miles away, he would be my regular dentist!!!

I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Cushman and his staff in Oakland. I found him through a basic Google search after deciding I no longer wanted to go to my hometown for dentist appointments; it was the luckiest Googling of all time. He’s like a wizard. I had a scorching headache for A YEAR STRAIGHT from grinding my teeth, and not only was he able to explain to me why it was happening, but he was able to find a way to correct my grinding problem. No more headaches, which for me is reason alone to throw the man a parade. The staff are open, friendly, and professional. I always felt like my previous dentist just wanted to make money from me, and I never feel that way now. I’m never asked to move up my appointments, and they have been great at getting me in and out of the office, even when I’ve been running late. If you’re looking for a dentist in Pittsburgh, truly, look no further.

Dr. Cushman and his staff are simply amazing! I no longer mind going to the dentist. I agree with the previous review that calls Dr. Cushman a wizard. He is incredibly intelligent. I had been complaining for the past 3 years to my previous dentist that I had some pain under a cap. On my first visit to Dr. Cushman, he looked into the problem (turns out I needed a root canal).  With the problem fixed and I no longer have any pain. Working at Presby/Montefiore Hospital, he is just a few blocks away. It is easy to make time to go to his office during the day to get to my general annual cleaning. His office staff schedules just the right number of patients so there is never a wait. He is very accomodating and easy to get a hold of on the phone or via email. I can’t say enough good things about this dentist. I recommend all my family, friends and co-workers to go to him.
