I just moved to the area and was hunting for a dentist ASAP because I knew I needed work done. I heard great things about Dr. Engel so I decided to give him a try. Boy am I glad I did. When I walked in I was welcomed so wonderfully by the staff everyone was so nice and treated me like family. Dr. Engel was even better, he knew someone in my very small hometown which was unbelievable!! Anyway I found out I needed a crown which scared me alittle for two reasons the pain and the price. Jenell the assistant made me feel very relaxed and the pain!? WHAT PAIN?? I didn’t even realize they were anything during the procedure thanks to Dr. Engel. And the price, Brenda the front office manager helped me with that. I sent up a payment plan and have no worries. I can’t wait to go back in a couple months for my cleaning cause I hear Kathryn the hygienist is the best!!!

My first interaction with Dr. Engel was him going out of his way to come in on a day his office was closed to pull out a tooth that had put me in excruciating pain. After the sweet relief and removal of that awful tooth, I decided to remain a patient and couldn’t be happier with it. I have never in my life looked forward to going to the dentist where I get to laugh and goof around with everyone in the office. Never in my life have I had my teeth in such good shape, and I’m glad to have Dr. Engel and his whole team to help me with that!

Dr Engel’s staff is so friendly, knowledgeable and competent. Always smiling and wanting you to feel comfortable. Dr Engel is amazing!! I went to a dentist for emergency help and he was going to pull 2 teeth and dig out a root canal. I saw Dr Engel and he fixed teeth. I can smile and eat. Thank you for taking care of me and squeezing me in. I appreciate you and your staff. You taught them well. I think so highly of this dentist and he can use gas makes it better. My family loves Dr. Engel! The laser is amazing for fillings, and my daughter actually enjoys getting her teeth cleaned! Best experience with a dentist ever! I love that I can trust him to only do the very best work. If a crown doesn’t look right, he will send it back without hesitation. His work doesn’t just look real, it must be the best possible, or it gets redone!

I needed a new dentist as my dentist retired. Dr. Engel was recommended to me by a co-worker and I’m glad I listened to her. Christie was wonderful in getting all of the initial paperwork taken care of, as well as the insurance and follow up. Melissa was incredible as a hygienist. She took plenty of time explaining all of the procedures she was doing as well as what Dr. Engel would do and explained what she was and was not seeing in the x-rays. Dr. Engel was excellent as well. And the BEST part–they do not play the traditional “dentist office” music!! I highly recommend this dentist office!!

I used to think that the term “painless dentistry” was an oxymoron, but in Dr. Engel’s office it is reality. When I last had work done I was amazed to find out he had filled FOUR cavities with NO anesthesia. Backed by a professional, caring, and commpassionate staff, Dr. Engel brings state of the art hardware and up to the minute expertise to each patient. My personal situation requires a bit of extra patience and involvement, and the staff and Dr. Engel were—and are—there for me. I give my personal recommendation to the entire office and staff , led by Dr. Engel. Look, if you gotta see a dentist, do yourself a favor…go to Dr. Michael Engel. You’ll be so glad you did.

Had a great visit to the dentist , if you can believe that. I had a cavity in a wisdom tooth not what anyone wants to hear. Dr Engel recommended this laser procedure. I never heard of anything like that. I was skeptical . The position of the tooth was the deciding factor for trying the procedure. Well like me tell you it is a new revolution in dentistry. No pain . No numbing. I could carry on with my day with no problem. About twenty to thirty moments at the most. Thanks to Dr Engel and his great staff.

I called after hours due to severe tooth pain. Dr Michael met me at his office in 30 minutes and releved the pain immediately. I wanted to cry tears of joy because I no longer had pain. I ended up needing a root canal which he set up an appointment for the next day. He will now be my new dentist and I would recommend him and his practice to everybody. Truly grateful.

The most amazing dentist & staff. If only we could clone Dr. Engel. The only dentist that I’m aware of, that will do his best to accommodate after hours emergencies. A chance encounter, turned out to be wonderful. Above all, he is a perfectionist, which is right up my alley. The most compassionate dentist. He strives to make his patients feel comfortable, regardless of their situation. After years in private practice, he has seen people from all different walks of life. He treats everyone the same. His positive outlook is contagious throughout his office. The ladies in his office, greet you upon arrival, and treat their patients like family. I’ve been seeing Dr. Engel since 1990. He’s awesome and my family loves him! My dad goes to him, my mom used to rave about him (she passed away several years ago and we were sent beautiful flowers from Dr. Engel). My daughters have been going to him since their first visits around 3 years old and they’ve grown up with him caring for their teeth. Dr. Engel isn’t in my provider network for my insurance, but I still go to him because he is family. It wouldn’t be the same to have anyone else care for my teeth. Or my daughters’ teeth. Dr. Engel is the BEST!!

I had a bad experience when I was very young with a dentist that left me horrified at even the thought of seeing another dentist! Well I’ve seen a couple over the years as I got older. This is 110% the Best of the best! Place I’ve even been! They were so good to me! The staff knew what they were doing and shared with me alot of great knowledge on dentistry. Dr. Engel and his staff are the best! Always friendly and give you the information in it’s entirety. He did a lot of cosmetic work for me and it is natural looking and I get compliments all the time. I highly recommend Dr. Engel for your family. The staff is very friendly also as well as knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. After 10 years, I went to see Dr. Engel at the referral of a dear friend. I was more than impressed and happy with my visit. The whole atmosphere was relaxing and calm. I discovered dr. engel after living in the lowcountry now for about a year and a half, prior to discovering him it had been at least 10 years since I had been to a dental provider. I think I actually like going to the dentist now. I reached out tho this office via their website late one night stating I had some mild discomfort and would like to set up an appointment. I was in the office the very next morning, met the doctor and dental hygienist, and had a couple of long-running issues solved in minutes. I’m now a regular patient. Fortunately for those of us without dental coverage, they offer a monthly sort of “in house” insurance option. I won’t get into the details of it here, but if you’re in that boat I’d definitely ask about it next time you go in for something. So far the staff has been nothing but helpful and really friendly. I couldn’t be happier. I guess I really do like going to the dentist now.

For me, coming to Dr. Engel’s office recently was like stopping by for a short visit with a trusted friend. He is totally patient oriented–committed 100% to the care and comfort of the individual seated in “the chair” at the time! His expertise, as well as his easy going manner, sense of humor and friendly smile all serve to put me at ease. Dr. Engel was GREAT with my mother. She has been doing business with a BIG medical group downtown who messed around and messed around and she ended up with two teeth in her head that were supposed to be acceptable as implant anchors. She ended up without a tooth in her head and not enough bone to even think about implants, depressed, embarrassed… Dr. Engel spent ten minutes listening to her and looking in her mouth and at her upper dentures which wouldn’t even go IN, had them fixed in FIVE minutes and in the interim treated her like a queen, like someone who deserved to have teeth. In less than a week, he’ll have her finished with two years of a horror movie that went on and on every time she looked in a mirror or tried to eat something. It’s not even his speciality. All he had to do was listen.

I was traveling from Florida with some friends and I had a crown come loose on a Friday night. As I was frantically calling around Saturday morning in an unfamiliar town, I came across this office during my google search. Unlike other places, I had a live person answer and she had paged the doctor who called me directly, meet me at the office, and took very good care of me! The care and professionalism that I received was such a relief. He even recommended for things to do in the area as he patched me up ; ) Highly recommend this office!
