Dr. Payne has been my dentist for a few years now. He has gotten me through everything from standard cleanings to dental implants and cosmetic procedures. Not only is he an incredibly skilled dentist, but he has always helped me remain calm, been very personable with a great sense of humor and friendly. He is knowledgeable and kind and his staff is great too. I am very happy with the outcome of all of his work. I know I am in good hands with him and would not go to any other dentist. I highly recommend him.

Love Dr. Payne and his entire team. I’d like to say I’m his longest running patient. Me and three kids!!! Always on time with appointments and has early morning slots available. Wonderful aesthetics in office environment. I’m pretty sure I was snoring getting my teeth cleaned yesterday. That should say a lot about how relaxed they make one feel under their care Thank you team Dr. Payne!!!! Keep up the awesomeness. I heard a new word today to describe awesome….”crispie”, yup that’s them.

Dr. Michael Payne has all the qualities one could hope for in a dentist. He is well educated, intelligent, impressively knowledgeable, and up to date on all aspects of his complex field. He is thorough in his examinations, displaying the ability to diagnose and treat an impressive range of dental and oral problems, from a routine cavity to puzzling and complex maladies. Personally, Dr. Payne is warm, friendly, and caring.  We are pleased to recommend him (and do so frequently and enthusiastically to others) without any reservations.

If you’re looking for a dentist who knows his stuff, Dr. Payne is your guy. He was so informative with what he was doing, what he was looking for, and what he saw. I’ve never had a dentist explain what they are looking for or even show you the 3D images and Xrays piece by piece. Not only does he explain what he’s doing, he is also incredibly sweet and gentle. You won’t find another dentist like him!

Dr. Payne is an excellent dentist. He has all of the latest technology and uses it to treat you. I feel confident that he knows what he is doing and does an excellent job. I recommend to all who ask about a good dentist. He is not only good, but  great !!

I came into Dr. Payne’s office for a cleaning and walked out with him as my new dentist. Dr Payne and his team offer the warmest welcome from the healthy snack choices in the lobby to educating their patients on dentistry. I figured I was doing everything correctly until Dr Payne introduced easier and inexpensive ways to optimize my dental health. He also pointed out a dental error from a dentist in the past and helped me in building a case to get the work redone for free. This office really changes the way people view dentistry. He has a great sense of humor and great music which makes the dentist experience exciting. He takes his time and makes sure everything is done right (which still ends up quicker than most dentists).He makes sure you are always comfortable and does honest an painless work ensuring that his patients are left with the highest quality of work for the most reasonable price. Outstanding customer service with the team as well. I highly recommend his services.

I’ve always enjoyed my visit’s to Dr. Payne. After each visit I always come away with a better understanding of how important it is to maintain good oral health. Dr. Payne has a wealth of knowledge and fully explains each detail of your visit from beginning to end. His professionalism combined with a genuine concern for his patients, not to mention his ability to tell the best stories and make you laugh, give me the confidence to know that I’ve made the right choice in a healthcare provider. His staff is wonderful! I highly recommend Dr. Payne. I also love his newly renovated office and the latest in 3D technology to detect cavities before they are actual cavitites!

Excellent, attentive, empathetic, accommodating staff and Michael is very personable and easy-going. Not a scary dentist visit at all! I would definitely recommend him.

I highly recommend this office for teeth cleanings! The receptionist was very friendly and got me in right away for my appointment, greeted me with a smile and helped me finish my paperwork. The dental hygienist was super detailed and informative. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a thorough cleaning, and he was able to answer all of my questions. Super kind and seemed to enjoy his job. Dr. Payne = 5 stars! Just like his staff! He took his tiny camera and checked all my teeth for cavities – unfortunately he found two but without the camera and only the x-rays they would have been close to impossible to spot (yay for tiny camera!). He informed me of all my options and we set a game plan to attack the issues. Going back for the fillings next week. Weirdly satisfied with this dental appointment… who knew a dentist appointment could go so well?!

I can’t say I very love going to the dentist, but Dr. Payne and his staff make the experience as pleasant as possible. First of all, the staff is super friendly and accommodating, and they are always on time and organized. The office is nice, clean, and they always have snacks and water available. Secondly, the technology in this office is top-notch. Not only can I watch comedy specials on Netflix while I’m getting my teeth cleaned, but when it comes to diagnosing current or potential tooth problems, state of the art equipment is used to show me exactly what is going on with my teeth so I can see for myself. I’ve learned quite a bit from just being shown what is happening rather than being told. I always know I’m in good hands with Dr Payne who is extremely knowledgeable and professional, and I know I’ve avoided huge dental bills down the line due to his diligence in preventative care.

I drive all the way from Pasadena to Santa Monica just to see Dr. Payne. I lived in the Bay Area for 3 years and would schedule my dentist appointments around my visits home. That alone says a lot! I needed an emergency root canal 8 years ago and luckily stumbled across Dr. Payne. Like most people, I HATED going to the dentist. Not anymore! Dr Payne walks me through all of my procedures and constantly checks on me to make sure I’m comfortable.  I can feel pressure when he’s working on my teeth, but I’m never in pain. He’s pulled off some serious miracles with some of my teeth. He’s like the best of both worlds. Old school knowledge with modern technology. I tried going to another dentist closer to home and they tried to rip me off. I asked Dr. Payne for a 2nd opinion and he was very honest with me and went over my x-rays to explain every area that showed concern. He discussed what needed to be addressed now and how my current habits will effect my teeth 10, 20, 30 years from now. His 2nd opinion saved me almost $2,500. His staff is really great too. They’re always friendly and professional. You can tell that the office is more like a small family. 8 years later and he’s now the dentist for my parents, husband, siblings, cousins, friends, etc. I always refer him and everyone keeps going back.

I have always had good experiences. I followed Dr. Payne from where he was before. He is a great dentist, really great. Does great work, far better than any other dentist. Thank you to him.

Dr. Payne has an excellent demeanor and was very thoughtful in providing context about everything that he was doing. He answered all of my questions thoughtfully and was great to talk to.

Dr. Payne was extremely patient and caring towards me as a new patient with “dental phobia.” He is friendly, knowledgeable and respectful towards my needs. This was a great new-dentist first visit!

Dr. Payne is so amazing! Normally the dentist office is the last place you want to spend 45 minutes to an hour of your day, but I actually look forward to my dentist appointments. From the moment you walk through the door the staff is warm and attentive. Dr. Payne utilizes some of the most most advanced equipment and he is very thorough. He recently repaired my bridge, a process I was totally dreading because of my last dentist, I had no pain or discomfort. He is so professional. My mother is very picky and she even looks forward to her visits to Dr. Payne. I am so happy I found a good dentist. I tell all my family, friends and coworkers if you need a dentist look no further than Dr. Payne.

Dr. Payne is an excellent dentist. He takes care to explain each procedure and your options regarding that procedure. The staff are pleasant and helpful. His office is well maintained and he offers free dental goodie bags and water/snacks. I would definitely recommend him for any of your dental care needs.

I’ve seen Dr. Payne since he took over the practice on Wilshire, and since then I have recommended him to several friends. I trust Dr. Payne, which hasn’t been my experience with all dentists I’ve seen in Los Angeles, and this is why I return and recommend him to friends. Additionally, Dr. Payne and his staff are extremely friendly and helpful which makes for a positive experience, even if I’m getting a cavity filled!

5 stars for the amazing Dr. Payne! I had been wanting my teeth filed for years! I had asked my regular dentist to do it and she simply said no and suggested veneers. Can we say money hungry??? No thanks lady, on to the next one! And that’s when it happened…Dr. Payne in to save the day!!! Not only did he give me the smile I’ve been wanting for YEARS, but he took the time to explain everything to me so that I was clear about what I was getting. The icing on the cake you ask? Smooth music while he works his magic, not that boring, annoying “hold” type of music, the good stuff you can jam to, LOL! I was nearly an hourly late (for the second day in a row, I know what you’re thinking…who do I think I am showing up an hour late 2 days in a row right? I would totally be thinking the same thing but that’s totally besides the point) He still fit me in and I wasn’t even rushed. He took his time and I genuinely enjoyed my dentist visit! The entire staff is warm and welcoming too!

He’s an excellent dentist! Everything positive I read about him prior to my appointment was all true. I feel very fortunate to have found him and to know I have my teeth in good hands!

Best dentist I have ever been to. Was able to clearly lay out to me my current issues and give me a plan for taking care of it all from the same office. Office was very welcoming. It is a relief to finally find a dentist like this that is both competent and complete. Also one of the nicer guys I’ve met, highly recommended.
