I goto Dr Teng for my Invisalign and general cleaning. He accepts my insurance (delta dental) and he is readily available on weekends. This is crucial since I work as a resident and it’s really convenient. With that said Dr Teng has great bedside manner and soft quick hands. His cleanings are painless especially when using that dreaded hook. I swear when I see that thing I feel my pupils dilating but he makes it very painless and swift. As for the Invisalign I’m nearly complete and found it a very worthwhile decision. My teeth are straight! It’s a lot of work and can probably be prescribed for weight loss (you really stop snacking because you have to brush and floss after every snack). Dr Teng was always ready to answer questions and helped me through the process. Nice comfortable office. Convenient location. No surprises.

\As a resident, I appreciate Dr Teng making time to see both my wife (also a resident) and myself on a Saturday. He is extremely attentive, soft hands and great bedside manner. He takes my concerns seriously (tooth had sensitivity to hot and cold, spent a lot of time making sure no cavity, and got an xray) and is very knowledgeable about his field. Highly recommend him as a dentist.

I have never been so happy after leaving a dentist office! Dr. Teng does exactly what is necessary. He doesn’t push x-rays and unnecessary procedures. He answered all the questions and concerns I had about tooth discomfort and gave me new brushing strategies to use in order to prevent this discomfort. I completely trust Dr. Teng and his professional opinion. Will definitely be returning in six months!

Dr. Teng is truly a great find for any upper eastsiders looking for a dentist. He is professional but relaxed, good to talk to, and very knowledgeable/skilled. (i have developed a decent sense of good clinicians, because Im in my last few weeks of med school. and fyi a bunch of med students i know go to him, and also think hes really good.) The wait time is short to nonexistent, he usually has at least one last minute appt available if you need, and the best part: he actually does your cleaning, xrays, and exam etc by himself. (no techs etc) His office is in a perfect location about a 3 minute walk from the 86th and lex subway stop. I would definitely recommend Dr. Teng without reservations to a family member or close friend

Dr. Teng is a great dentist. I was seen by him as soon as I stepped foot in the waiting room; there was no wait time at all. I had a bunch of questions for him about my teeth, and he took the time to listen to all my concerns and answer all my questions fully and impartially. To be honest I have phobia from dentist but when I went to dr Teng i saw how much he’s kind,caring, welcoming ur questions, very professional and very humanized. Am pregnant when he was cleaning my teeth I had shortness of breath and dizziness because my uterus was pressing on the diaphragm he gave me time till I felt alright then he completed his job while he was standing to make me more comfortable. This was my first appointment with Dr. Teng and I couldn’t have left happier. Just came from an annual exam with dr teng after not having had one in many many moons. He was fantastic! Did the X-rays & cleaning himself and it was incredibly quick efficient and most importantly painless!!! After having been scarred from my last dental cleaning I relayed these fears to dr teng who reassured me that it would be gentle and that I would be ok. He continually asked me if I was ok and I’m happy to say my teeth have never looked or felt better! I felt no pain at all and already scheduled my next cleaning in 6 months. If you haven’t gone to the dentist I highly recommend that you run not walk to see him!

Excellent doctor and excellent person! It was my first visit to a dentist here in the US and I am very happy to have found doctor Teng. I went in for an annual check up and cleanings. I arrived twenty minutes before my appointment and doctor Teng was there waiting for me. He takes care of the paperwork on his own and then he proceeds with he visit! Very professional and also I felt very comfortable in talking with him. He made me x-rays and cleanings and in 40 minutes I was out ;)! I can’t say enough Great things about Dr. Teng. Hes incredibly precise in his work, while also making you feel totally at ease. He also takes the time to discuss your insurance, and works with you to manage the dental work needed, so that it aligns with your insurance plan. I had a great experience with Dr. Teng! I made a super last-minute appointment and he saw me right away, no wait time whatsoever. Dr. Teng is a 5 star dentist. His humble office sets the stage for a very kind, personable experience that is quick and pain free. I walked in, filled out paper work, got checked, x rayed and cleaned in no time flat (~40 mins, results may vary). I was seen immediately and treated extremely well, even got in a few laughs. My only criticism is that his office could use some sprucing up, which is notable for those sensitive in that respect. Everything else was perfect. Additionally, there was absolutely no cookie flavored anything, no upsells for unnecessary hardware or surgeries. Just great dentistry. I loved it! I highly recommend this dentist. He makes me want to visit 2x a year… We’ll see.

I was recommended to Dr. Tang by a colleague at work. She literally insisted that I cancel my appointment with another dentist I had an appointment with to see Dr. Tang. I was not disappointed. It had been about 3 years since I had seen a dentist, but Dr. Tang made me feel like a regular patient. He was thorough but quick, honest and knowledgeable but funny. I was a bit reserved because he had some issues confirming my insurance (common with my insurance. Doh!) it didn’t seem to bother him at all. Had a 9am Saturday appointment. No wait and I was so happy that it was Sat. Regular check up and cleaning; very smooth, great cleaning and no BS. I’ve a few Dentist recommend redoing my fillings and wisdom teeth, but it seemed like it was about the money. Not dr. Teng, he was very honest. Also the cleaning was quick and neat. Recently the cleans I’ve had we’re mess and I usually choke on all the water that ends up filling my mouth. But somehow Dr.Teng managed to get around all that. EXCELLENT!! Plus he’s a great guy. I wouldn’t mind hanging out with him. Highly recommended.
