Dr. Laska and his sleep team, Glen and Stephanie, changed my life. With their state of the art sleep test, I discovered I had sleep apnea. My sleep was erratic and my snoring brutal. Ask my girlfriend. Dr. Laska explained my options and we went with an oral appliance that repositions my jaw when I sleep and keeps my airways open. Sleep apnea can be very dangerous. It can effect your health in many negative ways. I’m very happy to say that we recently retested my breathing at night and I no longer have apnea. My sleep has been better than it’s been in a very long time. I wake up feeling rested and have more energy throughout the day. From the front desk to the sleep team to Dr. Laska, my experience throughout was nothing less than professional. Everybody is patient, knowledgable and respectful. If you think you might have sleep apnea, go see Dr. Laska.

I would give 10 stars if possible. Dr.Laska is the most honest dentist I’ve ever had. All of his staff members are so friendly and professional. They do a great job at making you feel comfortable and welcomed. Growing up, I always hated going to the dentist. It would take forever (even with an appointment), the staff was always rude and in a rush, and there was always “something wrong” that required an expensive solution. I first came to Dr.Laska when my mother recommended that I get a second opinion on some dental work that I was considering. My dentist at the time told me that I was in serious need of getting some work done on my teeth and gums. I was under the impression that it was very serious and totally necessary. When I first came to Dr.Laskas office, the wait was short and the staff was so kind. After my examination, Dr.Laska told me that I did not need the treatment that my other dentist was trying to scam me into getting. He instead gave me an easy and affordable solution. Since that day, I have been coming here for all of my dental needs. I have recommended this place to my friends and family members and they have all been just as pleased (not to my surprise.

Dr Mark skillfully fixed a big filling in my mouth because it chipped away and I was afraid that the whole filling would need replacement or over time my tooth would deteriorate. He did an excellent job of taking care of it for me and lowering the level of it so that I would not feel any pressure on that tooth. He is the kind of the dentist that listens to the patient’s concerns and he suggests the treatment that preserves your teeth and that’s why I chose him for my dentist. I feel safe and comfortable going for the treatments and procedures that he recommends as I know he considers what matters to me as his patient.

This facility contains the most caring group of individuals that I have ever met. The passion these people have for their work is of the utmost. I’ve been going to Dr Laskas office for about two years. I picked them because they are very close by to my office. I can go during my lunch breaks to take care of my regular check ups. I have had some dental work done here (cavities) and I’ve never felt that they were ripping me off. I actually had a different experience. The lady that spoke to me about my treatment and insurance coverage was actually very knowledgeable and helpful. Understanding of my financial situation, she offered me a small discount that I really appreciated. In general, their office is clean, the workers are all very nice and they have a hygienist to clean peoples teeth. My previous dentist would do it herself and my cleanings were always about 30 minutes. The hygienist takes a whole hour to clean my teeth! I appreciate that. I am very happy at this office, I always brag to people that my dentist is the official dentist of the LA clippers. Lol I hope to one day run into one of them at my visits in his office. I went to Dr.Laska’s office today and was pleasantly surprised by the professional and informative staff. I was offered a oral cancer screening for $25 bucks and because of Michael Douglas I was happy to get it. After my examination Dr. Laska gave me some options to replace my tooth that needed to be removed and because I told him I was in pain he arranged for my extraction to be done today. I also liked that Dr. Laska was talking to me about sleep apnea which I think my husband has. They have a home sleep test my husband will be able to use to determine if he has sleep apnea and if so he can get an appliance made to help treat it. I’m so glad I found Dr.Laska’s office and I look forward to my implant in the future.

I’ve stayed away from the dentist for some time now, feeling like i was being over charged or work being done that i don’t need.. My cousin suggested Mark Laska. The office is in Downtown L.A. and i live in Temple City …. I left early from my home finding out that i didn’t have to because they have parking structure, Which I didn’t mine paying for parking cause i didn’t want to leave my vehicle on the street. I walk into the office and was greeted by friendly and a happy staff… I thought to myself excellent customer service. I didn’t have to wait long, like other dentist office i had gone to before. Xrays where taken and Dr Laska himself came out and went over the condition of my teeth and how his staff and himself would be repairing them. what a surprise to me not feeling like i was being taken advantage of. I am really happy with Dr Laska service, but not only his service but the staff as well.. On the downside .. I have two cavity’s and a cracked front tooth, which the cavity’s where taken care of that same day. The Upside was that i was introduced to a performance mouth wear made by Under Armour. Wow felt like i was a customer not a number. I have two appointment coming… I will status those visits as well… I will be smiling again soon.. Thank You Doctor Laska and Staff.

I have been going to Dr. Laska’s for about a year now and my overall experience has been quite good so far. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and are willing to work with you. Dr. Laska himself is very professional and pleasant. All of the dental issues I had coming into the dental office have now been resolved, which I am very glad about. I like how when you go to your first appointment, they tell you everything that’s wrong up-front, no sugar-coating, and will then offer steps for you to take care of the problem. Dr. Laska recommended that I get braces, but he explained to me the serious consequences of having crooked teeth. I had no idea having crooked teeth could lead to major health problems because of the way the bacteria builds up in the spaces between your teeth (regardless of how often you brush). At any rate, I was very grateful for this explanation and am now on the road to having healthy, straight teeth. 🙂 One thing I really like about this place is that the staff is also courteous enough to give you a phone call in order to remind you of your appointment, which is really helpful because I personally have a bad habit of forgetting appointments. None of my other healthcare professionals do courtesy phone calls, so that’s definitely a plus for me. My appointments are almost always on time and I haven’t had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seen. I think this place is great, especially when considering a dental office is a dental office. There are going to be drawbacks, but the positive attitude and professionalism of the staff definitely outweigh any negative aspects.

Came here for a dental check up & teeth whitening. As soon as i walked in the staff greeted me and helped answer a few questions i had regarding the visit. I’m very happy with my services! Went in to see Dr. Laska not knowing what to expect. Of course I read his reviews on yelp and decided to make an appointment for my daughter and I. Prior to my appointment I did read about the amount of paperwork that needed to be filled on a Yelp review. So I ask the front desk to email me the paperwork so I would be prepared. Front desk didn’t hesitate. Thank you! Please note, I managed to schedule all my appointments on the someday including and Ortho appointment (Thursdays only, ask front desk for details) for my daughter. We had the following work done all in one day. -I had a check up and a deep cleaning, only half my mouth with Emma ( whom I loved! ) -My daughter had a check up, clean up, consolation with Othro and made the decision to finally get braces on the spot. She walked out of there with her braces that same day. Overall I was very impressed that his office were up to date with today’s technology and with the services he had available. Please note, that I did take a half day off from work to make all this happen and a Flex Spending account to help financially. I hope this review helps!

I’ve been going to Dr. Laska for over 6 years and to date I have had only good, in fact, great things about this practice. The staff is very friendly, efficient and professional. Everytime I go for either a cleaning or ortho visit the staff makes me feel like a VIP. I get well taken care of especially by the hard working Deisi. She is the best!! One cool thing to note about this office is that you every so often you happen to run into a Clippers player. Hey, if the Clippers come here for their dental work then Dr. Laska must be doing something right. I always get mail, emails and calls to remind me of appointments so you never forget or miss one. They ensure you get your follow up and cleaning visits to keep your teeth clean and healthy. I’m always seen very fast (no long wait times) and I feel the staff take their time to ensure everything is being done right from xrays to cleaning to ortho work. With the guidance and care of Dr. Laska’s office I’ve gotten my teeth straigthened and I can proudly report that I haven’t had a cavity in several years. The ortho work was completed 2 years ago and to this day I still get compliments on my smile i.e. teeth. I constantly refer friends and coworkers to this office and everyone says they are glad I referred them.

Dr. Laska and his entire dental care team are attentive, nice and professional. I came to Dr. Laska’s dental clinic for a second opinion and consult and so glad I did! My old dentist was suggesting a much more expensive dental procedure which I did not need at all! I had three regular fillings by Dr. Sadad today (she’s nice and took care of me today) and didn’t need the onlay porcelain suggested by my old dentist (not going there anymore). Dr.Laska office is a friendly environment to go to for a dentist appointment. We had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Laska and his staff. My son was very unease about heading to the dentists and any of the procedure that will be done, but Dr. Laska was very patient with him and spend a lot of time to calm him down and make him feel comfortable before the process, as well Madelyn was very helpful and kind and she was always available to help me with any questions and concerns I had. Dr. Laska is very professional, he takes the time to explain what needs to be done and provides valuable advice. After much searching I have finally found the best Dental office in Los Angeles! I was in need of a veneer replacement, several fillings and periodontal cleaning. I knew this wasn’t going to be cheap but was shocked when I went to a dental office in Hollywood and the dentist there told me I needed 10000 dollars worth of work. I knew this seemed a bit fishy so I visited Doctor Laska for a second opinion, Doctor Laska and his staff where very professional and honest about what I actually needed and did not need. After creating a treatment plan the staff worked with my insurance to make sure I paid a fair price and was able to get the work that I needed done. This really is the best dental office in Los Angeles, everyone from the dentist to the front desk staff is always friendly and professional. I highly recommend.

Ha, it takes a lot for me to sit down and think “hey, I should write a yelp review for that dentist.” I found out about Dr. Laska through my ex… she came home one day after getting her teeth cleaned and she looked like a different human. It stuck with me so much, I actually called her a year after we broke up to find out her dentist’s name (don’t judge, don’t judge, I know, I know). I was hoping this guy’s office could work the same magic on me, and he did! Gross stuff on teeth, completely 100% gone. I can’t stop smiling in the mirror and running my tongue over my teeth. Today was my first visit with Dr. Mark Laska…Upon arrival, I was immediately presented with information regarding my appointment and what all would occur during my visit, along with the associated costs. I absolutely love the transparency provided by this office, considering the fact that I came with no information regarding my insurance. The ladies at the front assisted with that thank you. After a very brief wait in a clean and lovely waiting room, I was brought back for my exam. The Filipina was incredible getting me through the X-ray portion (my least favorite part of any dental visit). Not the fastest x-ray but she was loving, friendly and kind. Afterwards, Dr. Laska walked me through the X-rays and helped explain what my dental problems are, which included information I was previously aware of, and new information that was discovered during this visit. He also has great associates like the orthodontic Dr. Audrey Yoon who is amazing! the hygienist was very informative and I appreciated the chastisement for not caring for my teeth, the deep cleaning was one of the best I’ve ever received, and in a timely manner finished up the cleaning process, then they walked me through my proposed treatment plan (and associated costs) and set up my forthcoming visits. I have an upcoming procedure soon which I will come back to review. Until then, I will say that I am more than satisfied with the bedside manner of everyone I came into contact with at mid-Wilshire dentistry. I hope to make this my dental home for many years to come!

My very highest recommendation has been earned by the dental office of DR. MARK LASKA, D.D.S., located in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles. For more than a decade I have been a patient of Dr. Laska and throughout this time he and his staff have provided me with EXCELLENT dental care. This excellence has been both as to their OUTSTANDING TECHNICAL SKILLS of dentistry (I have had complicated procedures such as root canals and gum surgery and also about ten crowns done at Dr. Laska’s office) and also this excellence has been evidenced by the quality of their WONDERFUL PATIENT CARE (without exception, the staff has been caring, concerned, considerate, helpful, genuine and truly wonderful in every way.) Dr. Laska himself is an extraordinarily TALENTED dentist and also a very CARING professional, I feel deeply privileged to be a patient of his practice, and for more than a decade I have placed my absolute faith in his dental treatment recommendations. A distinguishing hallmark of the excellence of Dr. Laska’s dental care is that he is very PROACTIVE: as examples, firstly, Dr Laska referred me for a sleep study which diagnosed moderately severe sleep apnea (none of my medical doctors had even suggested this to me) and then built a dental sleep apnea device which has resulted in major improvements for my sleep and was billed to my medical insurance; and secondly, his office routinely offers screenings for oral cancer (a very important screening which no dentist previously had ever offered me.) Dr. Laska is assisted by a team of dentists and specialists who carry out the specifics of his treatment plans, and across the board these professionals are highly talented, so to name some as I here do, does not detract from the excellence of the other dentists. Among others, I have had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Esther Abraham (who did the work on several of my crowns) and, when in her online profile it says that this highly accomplished USC graduate treats her patients as kindly and with the same concern as she would treating a member of her own family, I can personally attest that this is absolutely true, she is an extremely talented and caring dentist. My dental cleanings are done by Christopher Rorry, BS, RDH, also a USC graduate. and he too in my opinion stands in the highest echelons of dental professionals: a wonderful man, a highly experienced dental hygienist, Christopher has very successfully treated the gum disease I suffered several years ago (as a result of missing my regular cleanings for about three years while I was overseas) and now my dental health is greatly improved again and has been restored as a direct result of Christopher’s many ongoing efforts over the years. There are several other staff members who deserve high praise, but in the space constraints here I can mention only some by name. Foremost, Cassandra, the office administrator, is such a pleasure to work with, and she has been so helpful to me in finding ways to make the many dental procedures I have needed, affordable within my budget: without her help in planning the finances of my treatment plans I would not have the dental health I enjoy today. Then there are many other staff members who have shown me and all their patients such kindness and genuine care, including for example, dental assistant Henry who always has such a cheerful smile and patient-oriented disposition, dental assistant Edison who is always so thoughtful and kind, receptionist Carmen with her lovely welcoming smile and all her efforts to be helpful and accommodating in scheduling appointments, and many other staff members who space does not permit me to mention by name. IN SUMMARY, this Thanksgiving, as I reflected on 2013, I realized that prominent among the things I am very thankful for this year is the treatment I have received from my dentists and the dental health they have given me. Perhaps the best evidence of how high my regard is for the dental office of Dr. Mark Laska is the following: originally I lived in Los Angeles about a mile from Dr. Laska’s office, then several years ago I moved about a hundred miles away, but I still return always to Dr. Laska’s office (a two hundred mile round trip) for all of my dental treatment. For all of these reasons, I have no hesitation in recommending the dental office of Dr. Mark Laska to any new patient looking for quality affordable dental care in the mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles (or even if you live a hundred miles away, the trip will really be worth it, as it is for me.

This review is about yelp. I think that yelp is bysis and hides reveiws in something they call filterd reviews because a place of bussiness has too many 5 stars with raving reviews. They seem to keep negitive reviews close to the top even when a better review was just witten. I talk about this because my husband who jus signed up with yelp only to write a review about how wonderful his visit was to Dr Laska’s office was filtered and there we found more 5 star reviews about how wonderful this place is. So everyone please check the FILTER REVIEWS so that yelp doesnt try to hid some really great places that you may want to visit if you knew how many great reviews they had. DR. Today I visited Dr. Laska’s office for the first time because I needed a crown on a tooth I had a root canal on. I have to say that I was a little skeptical about coming in today because of some of the reviews, but I’m glad I did. Dr. Laska’s office was clean and his staff was very professional and informitive. They gave me several crowns to choose from low end to high end they also accomadated me for the fitting today and I come back in two weeks for the permanent crown. Found Dr. Laskas office this year and it has been a great experience. Like many people, the dentist is not my favorite place but Dr. Laska has definitely made it a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and most of all, gentle. They let you know exactly what is going on and don’t rush or push any decisions. I LOVE my dentist Mark S. Laska, DDS. I’ve been with him since Sept. 1993. I’m not a good patient. I don’t get regular cleanings like I should but Nevertheless, he and his staff ALWAYS get me back on track. I needed a deep cleaning Christian & Emma both were very knowledgeable and professional as they cleaned my yucky teeth. Dr. Laska is always professional and very direct and honest with me. He can examine my teeth and tell/see what I’ve been doing like chewing ice! which I love to do (SMH). I give them a 5 star rating. Well let’s start with the fact that I hadn’t walked into a dentist in i would say, 15 yrs. The last time i saw a dentist, was to get my wisdom teeth removed. For several reasons I didn’t go back.Mainly cause of cost and no insurance. Now, yrs later.. good paying job. I decided to go back cause the plaque, I thought. Had started getting too deep into my gums, to the point it was causing discomfort. So first visit, dont expect a short visit and make sure you take the day off, you will be there for awhile. Not because of a long wait, they are actually fairly quickly. They go over your medical history. the main dentist will go over every single teeth regarding the work it needs, If any. Then you will talk to a finansier regarding the cost and payments arrangements you will make if you choice to get whatever procedure is decided for you. Having a healthy smile ain’t cheap. Expect to pay a pretty pennie if you haven’t been to the dentist in yrs like me. After all the work and support I received, bottom line is, this place is great. You have parking, validation, everything under one roof. Different dentist that take care of different needs. Especially they didn’t judge me one bit about my 15 yr over due dentist appointment. I will certainly keep going for yrs to come.

I had an issue with a tooth when I called the office they took me the same day & prescribed some antibiotics for the infection I had.I explained that it would be another few days before my insurance would be active,they said call when the insurance is processed & they will have to extract the tooth.When I left the office I asked what I owed for this visit they said zero.The complete office staff were were very nice & polite to me..The best is that I am a very big CLIPPER fan & they are The Clipper’s dentist.Thanks for the great service.

I just realized that I and my family have been coming here for more than 20 years. We are very happy with the care given; the staff is caring and knows the patients almost like family. Most recently, I called for my son and was seen within four hours. During the appointment two doctors were conferring over diagnosis but were willing to listen to my concerns and answer my questions about my son’s problems. The office and exam areas are always clean; the waiting area, while well-used, is comfortable.

Extremely thorough, professional, clean, and prompt. After taking care of some administrative business, I was seen within 2 minutes of my arrival. I took the most X-Rays I’ve ever taken at a dentist in my life. It took 5 minutes for Dr. Laska to come see me. He went through each one of my teeth, consulting the x-rays while looking at my teeth, making note of any and all issues each teeth could have. When this assessment was done, he stuck around to tell me about my teeth and answer all of my questions. I would definitely recommend this office!

School of Dentistry, in 1970, and has been in private practice in Los Angeles since that time. He has based his practice on preventative dentistry and cosmetic care, while using the latest technology, such as digital x-rays, veneers, porcelain inlays and crowns and soft tissue laser. He also has expanded his practice to include specialty dentistry - orthodontics, periodontics, and endodontics.
