We were referred to Dr. Miller by a family friend, and we are delighted that we were! We did consultations with 3 offices in Orange/Yorba Linda, and there was no question in the mind of my daughter or myself that this was the office we wanted to work with for her orthodontia. From the first phone call, the entire staff is professional and, most of all, friendly. We were greeted by name, and continue to be every time we go in. (which is more often since my youngest daughter has also started her ortho treatment with the office as well.) The consultation is free, and they were the most elaborate of the offices we visited. They take pictures, not x-rays, and explain with care and in detail so the child as well as the parent understands the issues with the teeth, how they SHOULD be and each step of correction. This was crucial for myself and my daughter. Just being told “You wear rubber bands and get braces.” tells us NOTHING about what is being fixed! We left the initial consultation able to explain the issues and treatments and what each step would accomplish to others(my husband and the grandparents who so graciously are paying for treatment, but deserve to know how their money is being spent!) At the first visit once the office is chosen, the kids are given a t-shirt and a paper that describes their incentive program. My kids are younger, 11 and 13, so they are really excited and motivated by the program to earn tokens to save toward prizes. Even this program is excellent because it is teaching them reward for their work (tokens can be earned for school work, no cavities at the dentist, wearing their appliances, etc), team work(since they plan to combine their earnings for a bigger prize) and saving vs spending. The office staff-Stephanie- front office who always greets you with a smile and by name…and keeps me company when my girls are in the back getting treatment is so lovely. Kelly, who does the initial consultation, is super friendly and helps answer any questions with a smile. Dr. Miller is fantastic in his explanations of treatment, expectations of the outcome (even if it is a complicated case like my youngest daughter is–he was honest from the start about “best case scenario and worst case) and bedside manner with his patients. (I mean, his hands are in your MOUTH!) The “backstage” ortho assistants who change brackets, wires, etc are top notch. My daughter had hardware added yesterday, and Wendy took the time to call to see how she was feeling, making sure she had advil and was eating her soft foods. The details and top-notch care and attention make this the best orthodontic office in the area, if not all of Orange County.

We have been very happy with Dr. Miller’s orthodontic care. We were referred to Dr. Miller by a neighbor whose three sons went there; their teeth turned out perfect. My daughter receives Invisalign treatment and they have been great to work with. Dr. Miller is very knowledgeable and his office staff are so kind. Office is impeccably clean and has the most up to date technology/equipment. Great experience all around!

We were recommended to go to Dr. Miller very highly by multiple dentists. We have had bad experiences before Dr.Miller and we were very cautious. We couldn’t have been more happier. After the initial contact with Dr. Miller and his staff we felt very comfortable talking with him. My son loves going to the office. Dr. Miller has made him feel very comfortable about getting braces. Dr. Miller and his staff take their time with each patient. We’ve recommended Dr. Millers office to multiple friends. I cannot stress what an amazing dentist he is. You need the best. Getting braces is a big deal to our kids and I wouldn’t trust anyone else but Dr. Miller and neither should you.

Round 2! Our youngest daughter is now starting her first round and prior to getting her bottom braces she needed minor surgery. Dr. Miller’s office worked with us to find a great oral surgeon and together they worked to ensure all procedures were completed before the first day of school. Our 8 year old daughter from my prior post is now 14 and completely done with her braces as a freshman entering high-school. How cool is that? Dr. Miller’s office was extremely accommodating in working with me around her school and sports schedule to get her set for the school year.

We are SO happy with Dr. Miller and his fantastic office!  Almost done with our last child’s orthodontic work, and we are so glad to have had his team in charge of all three of them!  His office is super professional, but also very warm and friendly.  They always accommodate our last-minute schedule changes as best they can, which is very appreciated!  Dr. Miller coordinates care with our family dentist, whom he recommended and we also love.  Best of all, Dr. Miller takes the non-aggressive approach to treatment whenever possible.  What a relief it was when we first came to him for a second opinion – not only did he say, “Let’s wait and see how they grow in”, but his rates were much more affordable than our first quote for braces.  Big thanks to Dr. Miller, Kelly, and his exceptional staff!

Dr. Miller and his staff are the best! By your first visit there, the office staff knows the patient by their first name and is always friendly and energetic upon arrival in the office. Appointments are easy to schedule and the staff makes sure to get you in and out quickly. Dr. Miller and his assistants are always very thorough, gentle and patient with the kids.  The office itself is very comfortable with video games, ipads and snacks for patients or other family members to use! My kids almost think its a treat to go to an appt.! Dr. Miller also offers “tokens” at each visit that can be turned in for prizes. The tokens are a great incentive to keep kids motivated about being a good patient and following at home care.  I would highly recommend Dr. Miller, and will definately be taking my other child there when he is ready for braces too!

The staff over at Dr Millers office is one of a kind. They are so amazing to work with, always so friendly and always smiling! We got my daughters braces before she entered 9th grade and her goal was to get them off within 6 months….  not only did they help us achieve our goal… but they surpassed it! The pricing structure is simple and super competitive (affordable). Being a teenager she unfortunately lost her retainer a few times and the replacement was fast and inexpensive! We are going to be using them again for my son here in a few months also! The Orange location is convenient and has alot of options for appointments to fit in our busy schedule! They also helped us out in getting mouth guards for my daughter for basketball/softball to protect her beautiful new smile! Have already and will keep recommending this office to my friends and family! They are also so generous and always help with the kids fundraising opportunities! We LOVE Dr. Miller and his staff!!

Dr. Miller and the staff in his office are so professional and friendly. I am so happy that we have been lucky enough to have him treat our 8 1/2 year old son for his orthodontic treatment. He has improved so much over the past year and a half and will only get better as his treatment gets to whatever phase he needs. He had extensive work to be done and still will need a bit more but I can already feel comfortable knowing how much he has improved and it has made a difference with Dr. Miller. His staff has definitely worked with us and made us very happy! I couldn’t think of recommending a better orthodontist!

This has been the best experience I have had with an orthodontist ever. From the moment i made my first phone call to schedule a consultation, until now where I’m almost a year in with my braces, the experience has been phenomenal. Stephanie, Kelly, and Dr Miller are all very friendly. Always so warm and friendly when you walk into the office and they greet you in by name, which makes it so nice and personal. I don’t feel like I’m just going to an appointment because they know me so well. I love how well they explained things from the beginning, and at every appointment they run me down and explain what they will be doing and why. All of the assistants of Dr Miller I’ve had the pleasure of meeting are so nice, and friendly as well. It’s never awkward coming in and talking with them about my progress, but also about school and work and small things like that. I’m so happy I found this place, and chose them to help fix my teeth. They are already looking near perfect and I couldn’t be any happier. Definitely worth it coming here, and I would recommend all of my family and friends for sure. Actually because of my results my sister is now coming here to begin her journey with braces as well!! Thank you to everyone at the office (:

I chose Dr. Miller from three well-regarded orthodontists roughly a year and a half ago, to straighten my daughter’s teeth. I chose Dr. Miller because of his knowledge, technology, communication style, customer-friendly team, and calm & upbeat kid-friendly office environment (e.g., they have snacks, iPads, Rubix cubes, etc., so that kids have something interesting to do while waiting for their appointment). My daughter had her braces removed today, and her teeth look beautiful!  Not only is the outcome terrific, but my daughter and I both had excellent experiences with everyone who works with Dr. Miller. They are all conscientious, knowledgeable, and excellent communicators.  Dr. Miller and his team provided useful information and practical advice when we were first deciding on a path for treatment. Dr. Miller’s recommendation on the oral surgeon was perfect for our needs. Everyone in the office was highly responsive when questions and treatment needs emerged through-out the process.  They are trustworthy, genuine, and knowledgeable people.

Dr. Miller and his Staff Stephanie and the girls are so nice and welcoming! I went to numerous places for orthodontic referrals but I felt so at home here. I love how nice Dr. Miller is, he’s really good at what he does! I’m so grateful for my beautiful smile now. I’m very satisfied with not only the cost of my entire package starting with Kelly, she’s very sweet. Every time I called to speak to schedule with Stephanie, she is phenomenal! I love Dr. Shawn Miller & his entire office so much! You guys are the best!

There are good orthodontist, there are great ones, and then there are those that go above and beyond. Dr. Miller and his staff have gone above and beyond. In this day and age many dental practices feel like factory farms, where the patient is treated as a number and the dentist’s job ends when he has completed his task, and anything that happens afterwards or not as planned is a chance to fleece the patient for more money. But that is not the case at Dr. Miller’s office, where I’ve always felt like I was a patient that was cared for every step of the way. And let’s be clear, I wasn’t an easy patient either, I had my share of issues of broken items and other issues. And they say the best judge of character isn’t when things are going smoothly, but when a problem arises. And yet at every issue that occurred, Dr. Miller was always there to help, working with me to solve the issue and make sure I was happy. My smile and satisfaction felt like something we were both working towards. I have just finished my Invisalign treatment and am now moving into the retention phase. I am super happy with my smile! My teeth look better than ever and Dr. Miller was even able to fix issues that I couldn’t quite express what was wrong but he knew how to get it right anyways. I am a very satisfied patient and would definitely recommend Dr. Miller and his very friendly and helpful staff.

I had my first consultation with Dr. Miller and a wonderful woman named Kelly today and it exceeded my expectations! Not to mention the wonderful staff at the front desk! They were so welcoming and friendly and made me feel like one of them. I currently have braces with another orthodontist that I am less than satisfied with. I decided to look for a new orthodontist when I found Dr. Miller. His reviews are to die for and I’m not gonna lie, I asked myself, is it too good to be true?? And I can confidently say not at all!! I had no idea that I received such bad first consult with my old ortho until today! Miller was thorough and explained everything in detail because I have so many concerns and frustrations walking in with my old braces. He was incredibly realistic about what could be done because my teeth aren’t as good as they once were. Miller and Kelly were patient and kind and did I already say thorough!? I will be finishing my ortho needs with Miller and am finally excited about my teeth again. It should move along in a much more timely manner now that I’m in good hands. I am eager to see what my smile will finally become! The office speaks for itself with its clientele. So many young children who are patients and older patients such as myself (24) and everyone walking in and out was warmly greeted and personally known by the members of the office. I was taken aback, truly. I will give an updated review once I get my new set of braces on with Miller and his team! So excited!!

I came to Dr. Miller after a horrific orthodontic treatment in which Dr. Miller and staff welcomed me with open arms and ears. From the initial contact with the office manager Kelly, I knew I had chosen the right office! Like I said, I came from a horrible experience where my previous ortho drilled off enamel in many places leaving my teeth a complete uneven mess. Dr. Miller told me he would do his best to reverse the damage and I am beyond satisfied. He made my teeth absolutely perfect, with a little cosmetic bonding from Dr. Kaiser (Dr. Miller’s great referral). I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a great orthodontic treatment. Both front office staff, Stephanie and Kelly, greet you with a smile and are always very helpful. I worked mostly with Dr. Millers assistant Katie who always was gentle with my teeth. All the assistants are great! I always had a lot of questions to ask and Dr. Miller was always patient and informative! I am going to miss this office! If I could rate it 10 stars I would!!

I have two daughters. I have taken them both to Dr. Miller for their orthodontic needs. I took my first daughter into have a consultation and I was VERY surprised to hear from the doctor that she probably does NOT need braces and her teeth will straighten out on their own. Fast forward a few years… her teeth are beautiful without having braces. He could have told me that she needed braces right away and I would have put them on her. I really appreciate the honesty from the doctor about not having to rush into putting braces on her teeth. My second daughter was a different story. She needed to have braces and oral surgery to correct a problem with her teeth. Dr. Miller referred us to a fabulous oral surgeon. I believe good doctors work together for a reason. My second daughters teeth are starting to look beautiful. She HATES going to the doctor. As a parent it is almost painful to watch the stress that she has prior to going to the doctor. Never, not once, has she had any problems going to Dr. Miller’s office. The entire staff is so kind and welcoming that my daughter has not had any stress going to her monthly appointments. As a parent I really appreciate the extra effort that goes into them welcoming the patients and making them feel comfortable. The office staff is very accommodating with schedule changes. This is a blessing for parents with many activities going on. Price wise Dr. Miller is right on the mark with what I believe the going rate for orthodontic care is when compared with other friends. Something else that I need to mention – Once you get to know the office and Dr. Miller you find out that he gives back to the surrounding youth and community. I find that to be a very enduring quality for this Doctor. What goes around, comes around and I believe that Dr. Miller is a very good example of that statement.

What a terrific place! My husband and I consulted with Dr. Miller and after such decided he was the one to treat our daughter. The staff is awesome. The office is warm and friendly. They treat all the patients beautifully. As for the services, the price was right on. They addressed all our questions and concerns the entire step of the way. Our daughter was always happy to get to her appointments. While our treatments were at the Aliso Viejo office, Dr. Miller also has an office in the City of Orange-my husband said it’s equally nice and friendly. The check-in was always easy-simply type patients name on a computer screen or talk to the front office assistant. They have plenty to do for the kids while waiting to be called in. I always refer Dr. Miller when friends ask about orthodontics. Everything they do is highly efficient from the front door to the chair. Orthodontics have changed since I was a child and wish I had Dr. Miller and staff then. Lastly, they are awesome with the kids in that they offer great incentives while teaching them how to care for their braces and teeth overall. Keep up the GREAT WORK DR. Fantastic all around. Dr. Miller and the entire staff are just exceptional. I only visited the Aliso Viejo location once but I spent a good amount of time at the Orange location. I never once waited to be seen. All of my check ups and adjustments were quick and painless. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Dr. Miller prepped my teeth with a full set of braces for jaw surgery a couple of years back. I was working in a professional office setting at the time and had a client facing role, so I wasn’t happy about having braces at the tender age of 30 (lol) so I kind of pressured Dr. Miller into getting my braces on and off as soon as humanly possible and HE DELIVERED! Sorry about that Dr. Miller 🙂 but THANK YOU for making the journey as pleasant as possible. 10/10 highly recommend.

I would recommend anyone, child or adult, to set up a consultation with Dr. Miller! The consultation was fast, the staff is extremely nice and knowledgable and Dr. Miller explains the process and answers any questions excellently. I went in for an invisalign consultation and am going to choose Dr Miller to handle my invisaligns. Best Orthodontist I’ve consulted with to date!

I am in my 10th month of having braces and Dr. Miller and has team have made the process very pleasant and nearly painless. His staff is warm, welcoming and understanding of the small emergencies that come up in life. I had moved 6 hours away and am continuing treatment with Dr. Miller and they are very good about arranging my appointments accordingly to work around my schedule. They also made me feel very comfortable as an adult getting braces and I would definitely recommend them to other patients.

I have been very impressed with Dr. Miller and his staff.  I had several consultations for both of my sons prior to selecting an orthodontist.  Dr. Miller had the most conservative approach, and even recommended NOT pursuing treatment for my older son, as the gains would be minimal relative to the expense.  I truly appreciated his honesty and professionalism.  My younger son has been in treatment for several months and I already see the difference in his teeth.  He actually does not mind the visits, as the staff is always friendly and the discomfort has been minimal.  Their new office is beautiful and stocked with everything from iPads to snacks and drinks.  We never have to wait long before seeing the doctor or technician.  I highly recommend this practice, and I am very happy that we selected Dr. Miller for our family’s orthodontic care!

Our experience with Dr. Miller has been wonderful. He is located right in the Aliso Viejo town center so it makes visiting the orthodontist and grabbing an after school snack very convenient I will admit my son hates to brush his teeth and the rubber bands don’t always get attached as scheduled. Yet, the office knows how to work with kids and although I am embarrassed by his lack of dental care and apologize, they just say its part of working. on kids and smile. Their billing for braces is now admired by my friends since I was given a complete package price from first visit to braces removal. I have referred friends who had used other orthodontist that kept asking for more payments along the way. I don’t know how they did it, but my son is scheduled to have his braces off right at the month they had estimated. His teeth look awesome and he actually never had an issue about going to the office. He looked forward to the tokens he received each visit. Can’t wait to see his face when he trades in the tokens and gets to choose a gift card. I am certain the best part of the braces removal will be a gift card to the video store downstairs!!! Even after the braces are off we plan to keep in touch with Dr. Miller. He has a heart of gold and my son, being a prior patient, qualifies to apply for his college scholarship program!!!!!! This place is the best you won’t regret choosing them.

Hi to the future person who might be sitting in the patient chair next to me! :^) Thanks to my friend’s recommendation, I took a bet on Dr. Miller and his team – and have never looked back. Unfortunately, I’ve always had crooked teeth and was definitely shy about it my whole life. However, through Dr. Miller’s quiet care and dedication to my braces, I’ve gained more confidence to smile and laugh naturally :^) His team is lovely as well! I’m always greeted enthusiastically and warmly by Stephanie and Kelly in the front. Despite the braces’ pain I get from each appointment, I look forward to catching up with the team and asking questions if I have any issues.
