I had a great experience with Dr Zarrabi and all the staff I interacted with at Mint Dental Works. From the moment I called to set my appointment the responsiveness and efficiency was above expectations. I made appointments for myself and my husband and we were both seen on time and every effort was made to handle both our visits so that I actually got out 30 mins earlier. I believe I had an interaction with almost every member of the team and all seemed extremely proficient in their roles. Dr Zarrabi was friendly, knowledgeable, concerned and answered my questions expansively and without hesitation. His assistants were kind and genuinely concerned for my comfort. Ami the Dental Hygienist was excellent. I’m so pleased with the results and, best of all, there was no judgement anywhere. It also helps that the office is high tech, nicely designed and the view from the chair was pleasant through the picture window.

I have never enjoyed going to the dentist. Mint Dental has given me a fresh perspective on dentists. Everything about this place is fantastic. The front office staff is so accommodating. The waiting room is like an art museum. They have a nice nook with coffee and cold drinks for you while you wait (I was offered a beverage twice while I was in the chair). The office has a wonderful view- natural light, tons of windows, it’s on the second floor so when you look out the windows all you see is sunlight and trees:) Monica, their assistant, is about the most caring hygienist I’ve ever encountered. I think she thanked me 10 times while taking my ex rays, and constantly asked me if I was ok or needed a drink. Dr.Z was so incredibly thorough. I honestly didn’t know that I’d been brushing my teeth the wrong way! He helped patiently explain what I needed to be doing, how to do it the right way, and how to better take care of my teeth. I’m confident that at my next visit I’ll be in better shape. Christy, the office manager, helped me plan the best way to get my work done. She also helped me figure out the best time to do the work- not more than 2 hours at a time. Honestly, this place is a dentistry office that offers wellness and preventative care. It doesn’t make for return customers, but if I can get my teeth healthy I might come in just for extra cleanings and spend some time in the SUPER EXRA COMFY chairs they have in their patients room. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Go now

First of all, I HATED the dentist. With that being said, Dr. Zarrabi and his staff have changed that. Now, I hate every dentist except Mint 🙂 When you walk in their office, you are greeted right away with a smile, and treated like you are more than just a number. I was offered a beverage immediately. They have a drink cooler, and hot tea/coffee maker at a bar right there for you to sip on while you wait, which isn’t long at all. The floors are bamboo, and the office doesn’t have all the dental advertisements or rotten teeth all over the place. It’s very modern and Zen like. Very cool. The dental assistant was great, & very careful knowing I have dental sensitivities. The Doctor took plenty of time with me explaining exactly what was going on in my mouth. They took ex rays and pictures of my teeth so I could see for myself exactly what they saw on a monitor. I also was a little chilly, so I was given a big comfy blanket as I laid back and had my cleaning. It felt more like I was at a spa. They gave me sunglasses to keep my eyes from being exposed to the light. I was so comfortable, I was actually enjoying the nap I was taking while my teeth were being cleaned. I’ve had plenty of dental experiences in my day, so trust me, if I say it’s good, you can believe it. You can also schedule online! That’s a huge perk! I’m serious when I say I’m actually looking forward to going back to the dentist

Let me be honest, I hate the dentist office, it is never a welcomed experience…BUT Mint Dental Works is completely a different experience. Firstly, this place is clean (neat freaks dream) and I love the color combo! Secondly, the staff is so friendly and explains everything even the billing! Finally and mostly importantly, Dr. Zarrabi’s bed side manners are amazing! He is the type of dentist that explains the procedure and answers all your questions! Actually, he answered all my questions, before I even asked them. I am the type of person that asks alot of questions for any medical procedure and I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Zarrabi was addressing them as they were popping in my head. For once, I only had two question and he answered them clearly! I, now, don’t dread going to the Dentist!! Thanks guys, keep up the amazing work!

Before moving to Houston a few years ago, I had gone to the same dentist my whole life, so I was a little nervous about having to find a new one. I found Dr. Zarrabi and Mint Dental Works online and decided to make an appointment because of their great patient reviews. They definitely lived up to my high expectations! The front desk staff and hygienists were very friendly and engaging. They made you feel very comfortable and explained everything they were doing. I also liked that I was given dark glasses so that the overhead lights weren’t shining into my eyes while they were working. Dr. Zarrabi was very professional and explained everything he was seeing and watching for on each tooth. He gave great recommendations for cavity prevention and teeth whitening, as well. I found out I had a cavity at my first appointment, and the process of having it filled was completely painless and easy. I highly recommend Mint Dental Works for a fantastic dental experience!

I am a former patient of Dr. Zarrabi, unfortunately I moved and could not clone him and take him with me, as I believe he is the best dentist I’ve ever had in the States. I lived in Germany for 20 years so my standards for healthcare are high and he certainly fits these standards. His office is immaculately clean and comfortable and reflects the thought and energy he invests back into his patients. The individual exam rooms are spacious and airy. I’ve been crammed into tiny cubicles with dentists and hygienists that have actually turned away and watched the TV screen or talked to others while operating or working on my teeth… Not at Mint, it’s all about the teeth and it should be! He and his staff are extremely focused and attentive. The appointments were well-organized, so I never had to wait and overlap with other patients. He is the most thorough dentist I have ever experienced. Calling him competent is an under-statement. Highly-skilled -he’s all that. Basically, I describe him as unbelievable, because I’ve never had a dentist like him. And, I have had so many dentists doing sloppy work and mis-diagnosing problems causing a lot of pain and expense of which I’ve truly wondered how they are allowed to practice medicine. Unlike other dentists who are often dismissive, he really listens to your concerns and thinks them over. He will pull up your x-rays and photos on the screen at your seat so you can visualize what he is explaining. He takes time to go over treatment options and gives sound advice and recommendations. I definitely feel he is trustworthy. Technically, when he did my fillings, he was patient and extremely careful and had his staff follow-up. The hygienist I had (don’t remember her name) was also top-notch. I would highly recommend Dr. Zarrabi. Mint Dental should be the proto-type for how to run an office and practice medicine. Sorry for the long review but having bad experiences with a new dentist and in comparison thought I should give his office a long overdue shout out for their excellent work. I never thought I could miss a dentist, but after being his patient and then having to go somewhere else ~made me sad and long for Mint Dental

My experiences with Dentists over the past eleven years that I’ve lived in Houston have ranged from nightmarish, to would-be-great if only it weren’t for X, Y, or Z issues – a great Dr. with a terrible assistant; a good Dr. and good assistant with a bad front office; a depressing, dated practice housed in some windowless space; etc. I bet most people reading this review can relate. Mint changes all of that. My experience at Mint has been absolutely fantastic! It is the kind of practice that you find and hope that it never moves or shut its doors. It is simply the answer to, “What would I want from an ideal Dentist?”. The practice is conveniently located for any inner loop Houston resident; it is bright, lined with windows facing trees and greenery; and, it is state of the art. When was the last time a Dr. took high resolution color photographs of each of your teeth and went over them with you one by one? When was the last time you sat in a dental chair and felt like you were on the showroom floor at Relax The Back (I’m 6’4″ tall and these are the first dental chairs my feet don’t hang off of)? If your last dental visit was to Mint, you’d be smiling at these questions. Dr. Zarrabi and his team are refreshingly competent, professional, kind, and patient. I am grateful to them for doing such wonderful work – for making me feel educated and comfortable rather than vulnerable and nervous. This team goes the extra mile, and they know it. They are proud of it! Mint could serve as a role model for any medical practice. I cannot recommend them enough and I wish them the greatest success

Just finished up my first visit to Mint Dental Works and had a great experience! I was slightly early for my 7:30 am appointment but Monica graciously let me in and offered me a beverage. I was promptly taken back and had a full set of x-Rays taken as well as pictures (I must say their tech set up is very nice!). Dr. Zarrabi then came in and complete an exam. Both he and Monica were very gentle. After that, Dr. Zarrabi went through his findings and explained things to me in a way I understood. He used pictures and demonstrated what he was talking about. Once I was filled in on my dental health, we moved on to the cleaning. My experience with Mint was smooth and easy! They communicated via email and text (which was really great) and were very helpful in explaining my options. I would completely recommend them to anyone looking for dentist!

I had a bad experience at another dentist and found Mint Dental based on reviews found on Yelp. First off, the office is very modern and clean. A beverage station is available when you arrive. I only had to wait briefly until I was called in for my appointment. During the first appointment, they are very thorough, taking many x-rays and photos of your teeth. Dr. Zarrabi goes through all aspects of your oral hygiene, and explains what it all means so that it is easily understandable. The staff also goes over all aspects of billing based on what insurance covers so that there are no surprises at the end. I had a cleaning done as well as fillings. Dr. Zarrabi was considerate of my time as well as comfort levels. He definitely made going to the dentist a lot more pleasant.
