Absolutely love Modern American Dentistry! I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gabe for several years now and I’ve been a happy patient from the beginning. Dr. Gabe is great and the whole staff is wonderful. Let me tell you that this is not your run of the mill dentists office. I know that going to the dentist can be an intimidating or scary experience for some but everyone at MAD make you feel so comfortable and at ease the entire time. So much so that I actually look forward to going to the dentist now. Kenitha in particular is my favorite hygienist! Dr. Gabe is my dentist, and he’s amazing!. I’d like to take all the credit for how good of a dentist Gabe is, Since I have been his mentor since long before he decided to go back into dental school. But it was his hard work that allowed him to become the talented Dentist you all hopefully come and visit often. Today Dr. Gabe did a bone graft in an area where I lost a molar. I’ve had terrible teeth my whole life, due to a vitamin D deficiency. Dr. Gabe is placing my implant and working with my new associate dentist in Manhattan beach Dr. Omar. My whole goal with modern American dentistry was to have different generations of Dentist share their knowledge and help each other. Gabe was a perfect example of a young person who helped me with his knowledge of technology, and I helped with showing him the pitfalls of the early years of dentistry and how to avoid making unnecessary mistakes. Dr. Gabe is a talented surgeon and when the Novocain wore off there was only mild discomfort. Though I know the procedure was rough he was beyond gentle. I am definitely biased but I think that Dr. Gabe is one of the best dentist around and I’m honored to have had a hand in helping him become the compassionate talented caregiver he is today. Send your friends and family, he is kind compassionate and caring. (We also have an amazing snoring and sleep apnea program)

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Gabe for the last four years and both he and his staff are really incredible. They always explain everything to you carefully and never pressure you into treatment you don’t need or want. Dr Gabe and his staff are phenomenal. I found them through my dental insurance site and couldn’t be happier. My cleaning and exam were quick and efficient. A few weeks later I called for severe pain in my jaw and head and they got me right in. I was worried I’d need to find a TMJ specialist. Dr Gabe said I didn’t need to see a specialist and that I had been wearing the wrong night guard for years. He had a new night guard made for me and I have been headache and jaw pain free since the first night I wore it. Dr Gabe even made me a temporary night guard to wear until my new one was delivered. Dr Gabe and his office have saved me a lot of money I would have happily paid to a specialist. I feel very lucky to have found them. My husband is on a different dental care plan and I am switching him to mine so that he can see Dr Gabe as well. They are that good.

Dr, Gabe is amazing and his staff is great. After my wife and I had our dental work done, we both got calls from the doctor himself checking in to make sure we were comfortable. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, all the staff are constantly smiling (maybe because they have perfect teeth…) and Dr. Gabe thoroughly answered all my questions. He even let me hold a mirror up to see exactly what he was doing, all the while explaining each step. I doubt everyone will be able to do that, my work was cosmetic but I appreciated the lesson! I recommend them and I’ve been to other dentist in LA, this place is the best thus far.

The quality starts from before you even enter the office. Being able to do the paperwork online and submit it straight from the website was very helpful. I was greeted by friendly staff. I started off with a teeth cleaning that I normally dread, but it was a comfortable experience (which for me says alot). They have the latest technology for digital xrays and I loved the still pictures of the inside of my mouth (now I know what the dentist is looking at). Dr. Gabe was thorough in explaining what was going on. He also didn’t brow beat me for not being good about my flossing habits. Being a health professional myself — I appreciate a quality office — this is quality!

I went to visit Dr. Gabe for “burning mouth syndrome” and he did a great job of researching it and recommending doctors and reasons why it may have happened. I am very happy with him following up and even contacting another doctor to find out possible causes and then following up by calling me with the explanations. I will be seeing him for future dental work as a result of this great experience and look forward to his detailed care and service. He was able to show me digital pictures of how my fillings had decayed and needed to be replaced. The staff seemed very nice and attentive. The facility was very clean and had state of the art technology. There is even plenty of parking in the lot. Highly recommended dentist who actually cares about his patients!

Today was my second visit at the Northridge Smile Canter, and one more time, my dentist, Dr. Gab Adorjan, proved that he is simply a genius and master of the art and science of dentistry. The reason as to why I keep coming here is because I am really impressed by his skills and brilliance, and want people to find their true dentist, so they dont have trouble in their mouths.This doctor is able to understand you even when your mouth is numb, and you can barely talk. In fact, he would answer me at almost the same time I would question him. Lot of times you find dentists, but your pain does not end, and even if it does, its temporary. But when your tooth/teeth get fixed by a good dentist, you eat, talk and sleep without any discomfort or pain. This place is simply awesome. Dr. Gabe and staff are absolutely amazing!! I went to his place from a dentist in Santa Monica who I also had a great deal of respect for. Dr Gabe is much closer to me however, and as it happens, turned out to be amazing!! Solved problems and made my teeth look awesome in a matter of a few months! Problems my other dentist just didn’t see fit to address for some reason. Not quite sure, but I’m grateful – I went for years dealing with problems that I thought I was just going to have to live with. He took care of them like they were no big deal. I have had some bad experiences with dentists in the past like many people have, but my visit yesterday did not feel like those. I didn’t have to wait nor did was my appointment rushed. The hygienist did a throughly cleaning and both her and Dr. Gabe took time to discuss what was found during my exam and cleaning so that we could make a plan to address my dental issues going forward… I personally hate going to the dentist however I think Dr. Gabe and his staff will do their best to make it comfortable for me… they were all great.

Dr. Gabe hired me to take some interior/exterior pictures of his practice when it was closed. As we were busy working on the pictures, someone walked into the practice not knowing it was closed. This person had questions about his tooth and needed help. Instead of telling this person that the practice was closed and to come back or set up an appointment, Dr. Gabe dropped everything he was doing and helped this person with his questions and concerns. He probably spent about 30 minutes just chatting with this person that he’d never met and I could tell that he genuinely cared about this person who just basically walked in without an appointment during closed business hours. I’ve worked with many dentists and I can tell you that most dentists in that type of a situation, would have told the person that the practice was closed and to call and make an appointment during business hours -but not Dr. Gabe. Dr. Gabe is just a stand-out individual. He’s very friendly and genuinely cares about people.

These guys are great. I lost a crown overnight in DFW after flying from the east coast. Then on to LAX. Once there I looked for a dentist that was close my hotel and had a decent rating. Well with 5 stars I called Dr. Gabe first and explained my situation. The receptionist took down my insurance information over the phone and called me back about an hour later verifying the ins coverage. Then they managed to fit me in the next morning! Right there on the spot fixed the tooth and put in a temporary crown and put a rush on the permanent crown so it would be ready the next week when I was back in LA. The temporary crown came off but since the tooth was fixed there was very little discomfort this time so I did not even try to put it back. When he went to put the permanent crown on it was not so good (probably due to me moving the mold) and the gum had covered some of the tooth due the missing temp. Again he fixed it right up on the spot and turned another rush for the following week. The following week I was in the chair less than 10 minutes. The crown went in perfectly and the bite was perfect on the first try. Just glued it up and sent me on my way! Life is good but my regular dentist on the east coast has retired and I would definitely use Dr. Gabe long term if I could. Maybe I will just need to make regular visits into Woodland Hills.

I had a tooth that needed to be extracted, and Dr. Gabe took his time with me, explaining why the tooth should be removed and what the procedure entailed. I’ve been going to Modern American Dentistry since it took over from my previous dentist, who retired. Dr. Gabe is extremely warm and engaged with his patients, both at a personal level and relative to their health. For me, he noticed wear from grinding and suggested a night guard, which I feel really has improved my sleep and pain/strain in my jaw. Further, Dr. Gabe followed up with a recording pulse oximeter to test me for sleep apnea to make sure that wasn’t the root cause. He took extra time to sit down with me, and go through the results, which showed no evidence of sleep apnea. Dr. Gabe takes as much time as is necessary to answer patient questions which is really exceptional in medicine these days. With respect to cleanings, my hygienist Kanitha is awesome. She is thorough, gentle, and friendly and similarly takes time to answer any questions I might have. I drive about 45 minutes from Pasadena to see Dr. Gabe and crew and I couldn’t be happier.

I’m not a great patient. I gag. I clench. Sometimes on someone’s fingers. But all was good on my first visit to Dr. Gabe–on a Saturday, no less. Kudo’s to his assistant Hazel, too. Diane Z This is my first review. I felt compelled to write it. I have been going to this office for a very long time. When Dr. VanDuser retired I decided to stay and try the new Dr. out. The reason I stayed is because of the wonderful staff. Since I live in Valencia and the office is in Northridge that’s a testament to the staff….even if one of them is a diehard Angel fan and I am a diehard Dodger fan. I was disappointed with the replacement Dentist and not happy with his work. I also noticed a change in the atmosphere throughout the office. I went back for cleaning last summer and noticed the staff was noticeably happier. I was then told that my new dentist would be Dr. Gabe. He came in and spoke to me for quite a while. I felt really good about him then and still do. He has been wonderful!!! I will, definitely, continue to go to him for my dental health. I am so happy to see the staff so happy again. 🙂
