Dr. Palusso is very friendly and super accommodating, she has an amazing staff! I couldn’t sleep because of the pain I was in from a broken wisdom tooth. I called her office first thing in the morning and made time to see me right away!! They did an X-ray and realized just how bad it was so they quickly got on the phone and made a referral and schedule the next available appt with a Oral surgeon, same day!! Dr, Chapokas is quite simply the best dentist i have ever had. Im ashamed to admit that I hadn’t been to a dentist in a long time and had a number of dental issues when I first saw her a year ago. She was very professional and put me on a dental plan that addressed all of the issues in a very professional and reassuring way. When I walked in I had a number of cavities and a tooth ache that was flat out debilitating. Monica and her staff took care off all of the cavities, cleanings, root canals, and everything else that I had been putting off for way too long. I was pain free right away and after just a few sessions my mouth never felt better. She’s got a great touch and made me feel the least pain or discomfort I have ever felt having dental work done. I have recomended her to all of my family and friends, and will continue to do so for many years.

Highly recommend this dental practice. Everyone is the office is very friendly. I am very pleased with the dental work I have received (check ups, cleanings, deep cleaning, two gold crowns, etc.) Dr. Chapokas and her staff go out of their way to explain the procedures and the costs. Dr. Chapokas’ office is, by far, the best dental office I have gone to. Dr. Chapokas was recommended by a friend of mine and I put off trying her for several years because I live in San Diego about a 40 minute drive away. However after trying numerous dentists close to me and having numerous suboptimal experiences I decided to give her a try. I am glad that I did. The staff members in the office were very nice and professional. Dr. Chapokas extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to explain things to me in an easily understandable way. I didn’t feel like anyone was trying to sell me things I didn’t need (which is the experience I had at other dentists). The office seems up to date and well run. Despite the 40 minute drive I’ll be back again.

I can’t say enough good things about this dental office. I’ve had a lifelong phobia of the dentist thanks to some bad experiences in childhood and adolescence, and the staff here has changed all that. They are kind, patient, and gentle, and most of hygienists are really friendly and funny! I had an appointment yesterday for a cleaning and exam and didn’t have childcare – I brought my 3 month old baby and one of the ladies (thanks Lauren!) watched him for the entire 1hr15min appt, which was a Godsend. They are great at explaining things well and making accommodations for budget and payment plans, and if you’re looking for a dentist in the Oceanside/Vista area, definitely go here!

Dr. Palusso was very professional, yet personable. She answered all my questions, and she herself does the “heavy lifting” portion of the actual Cleaning (I have never seen that from the actual dentist before). I also really appreciated her willingness to make comments “…if those were my teeth, I would…”. For whatever reason, Dentist that I’ve dealt with in the past have been Reluctant to make such type of statements. And finally, when it came to certain issues on the orthodontic side of the aisle, she had no trepidation when it came to making a recommendation. Too many dentist today Try to be a “one stop shop”, and attempt things with their patients that they shouldn’t. Also, her assistant, after one glance in my mouth, noticed that I was missing a lower cuspid. Past dental professionals don’t typically notice that unless I say something, given that the neighboring tooth had been shaped like a cuspid. Dr. Palusso, and her very friendly staff, have earned for themselves a new long term patient.

Dr. Chapokas has been my dentist for about 3 years now. She has been the family dentist of my husband and his family for many years which is how I found out about them. This is the most friendly, professional dentist’s office I have ever been to!! The hygienists and Dr. Chapokas are very knowledgeable about keeping your teeth healthy which, of course is important! But beyond that, they know their patients and care about them personally. I had been in the office only once and on my second visit was already receiving the warmest welcome by name. I’ve had two crowns done in the past year and a half, and both times, after the crown was completed, I was in pain for nearly a month. Although I needed another crown, I was reluctant to do so due to the pain. Then my wife found Dr. Chapokas. After going to get my teeth cleaned, she recommended that I get the other crown done. I went to the appointment yesterday and was anxious about having to deal with the pain again. Although this crown required more work than the ones in the past and required extra work on her part, I never experienced any real pain. Not only that, but she was very thorough in explaining everything she was doing before she did it. I can’t compliment her and her staff enough. They took the time to ensure I knew everything they were doing. They also made sure I understood the cost to me as my insurance only covered a portion of the proceedure. My wife and I are quite impressed with her staff. The other dentists I’ve visited in the past few years only seemed to be interested in their bottom line. Not so for Dr. Chapokas and her staff. I have finally found a dentist who I’m happy with. If you’ve had the same issues as I have, I HIGHLY recommend her!

How often do you hear someone say they love to go to the dentist? If you’ve never heard it, they probably haven’t been to Dr. Chapokas’ office. I’ve been going here for several years when it was owned by Dr. Smith (who was also great). The staff here is amazing! They are always willing to go the distance to fight the insurance companies on denied claims, work you in if you have a dental emergency and call you to remind you about your appointment. One complaint I hear frequently is that dentists are constantly trying to upsell – you will not have that experience in this office. I appreciate their thoughtful care and the overall pleasant experience of Dr. Monica and her staff!

I first went to this office a month or so ago when one of my fillings had fallen out. I called and talked to one of the front desk staff, Karen who was extremely kind and helpful. She was able to get me an appointment within an hour of me calling which really eased my stress about the whole situation. I arrived at the office with my 2 month old daughter in tow that afternoon and my great experience with this office just continued. I was so worried about my daughter being fussy in the waiting room and all the staff there were so understanding and made me feel like it was no problem at all. When it came time for me to get examined ,my little one started to fuss and cry and Karen stepped in to help, which I really appreciated. My whole experience just went so smoothly and I felt so welcomed there like I was part of a family. It is honestly the best experience I have ever had at a dentist. I came back two weeks later to get my temporary filling out and have the permanent one put in. A week after that procedure was done, I got a call from one of the staff to see how I was doing post-procedure. I was taken aback because I had never had any dentist office call me to see how I was doing for any reason. , but let me tell you, when they do call , you remember, and feel cared about as evidenced by this review 🙂
