Visited Murray Hill for a cleaning and met with one of their hygienist’s named Hanna. Could never say I ever had an enjoyable experience at a dentist office until this day. Hanna is a gentle giant. He was professional, yet personable, and talked me through the whole cleaning procedure. With gentle hands, he set expectations and then exceeded them. Murray Hill Dental made such a big impression on me with my first visit that I set up my next appointment the following week to continue my journey to a healthier smile.

Dr. Michael Katayev tested my area of dental discomfort to determine the correct tooth. He then gave me some needles and extracted the wisdom tooth. The extraction was done with such skill that the tooth was out quickly and with almost no pain. His able dental assistant had ready an assortment of extra dental tools just in case they were needed during the procedure but they were not needed. I am very pleased with the outcome of this tooth extraction and I highly recommend Dr. Katayev as an excellent dentist

Murray Hill Dental is in a convenient Midtown location near East 42nd Street. I find Dr. Katayev & his staff to be very cordial, & thorough with their services. The office is also very clean & orderly. I have personally never experienced an unpleasant visit. I have been using their services for at least a decade. I highly recommend Murray Hill Dental. My daughter recently suffered a extreme dental emergency & the doctor & his staff went above and beyond to assist with her dental needs with very short notice. Dr Katayev is a very skilled Dentist, so you really can’t go wrong at Murray Hill Dentist.

I just had my first appointement with Dr.Katayev and i fell in love with this doctor and office!!! Doctor Katayev is very professional,gentle… I’ve been looking for a good dentist for a long time now. I think I’ve finally found someone I’ll be happy with for the long run. I will definitely refer him to all my friends and co-workers. Only one word….Perfect!!!

I am 74 years old and have seen many dentists in my lifetime. I just started with Dr. Katayev and was impressed at first meeting because he took time to listen and seemed to know exactly what I needed and wanted. I think he is one of the best dentists I have ever come across. He works fast but does not give me the feeling that he is rushing through his work. The office has a very clean restroom and modern dental equipment. All the work I’ve had so far took place right in the chair, X-rays and all. My dentures and teeth have NEVER fit together as well as they do now. For the first time in years I can eat on both sides of my mouth. I will give an updated review when my work is completed but so far, I could not be more satisfied and I would recommend Dr. Katayev at the drop of a hat to anyone.

I had an amazing experience here today. Prior to today’s appointment, I had not been to the dentist in over three years (yes, it’s shameful but I was traumatized by a horrible dental hygienist a few years ago and haven’t gotten my teeth cleaned since). Anyway, today’s appointment made me realize that talented hygienists don’t cause pain. So kudos to my hygienist, Hanna! He was super gentle – and did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. I highly recommend this dental practice. Dr. Katayev was wonderful as were the front desk staff and the clinical assistants – and the office was spacious and clean. I can’t wait to go back for my six month check up!

Excellent service every single time I visit. Love their hot towel after teeth cleaning and I loveeee when the male tech cleans my teeth (forgot his name). He takes his time and does an excellent job. Every staff member knows their role and performs well. Everyone seems to be happy to be at work which reflects in the care and attention given to patients. Dr. Katayev is very attentive and actually cares about your teeth and not just making the most money off of you. I recommend their services to my friends and family.

Best dentist I’ve been to in a long while. Been going for about a year now and it’s always great. Today’s visit was for some laser surgery on my gums (wasn’t very fond of taking care of my teeth the last 15 years or so) and it went smooth. No pain and doctor is pretty cool. The pain after is the worst though! Take care of your teeth people!

Just visited Dr. Katayev for the first time and I left extremely impressed. I have struggled to find a good dentist for a while and I think i hit the jackpot with this one. Extremely professional, actually LISTENS to concerns without making you feel a bit rushed, addresses them with full knowledge, and ensures your full understanding of the situation. I got the BEST cleaning I have had so far. The office/ work area is clean and their tools are up to date. The staff gets 5 stars for their wonderful service as well. Not only will i be returning, but I will be making appointments for my entire family as well.

Absolutely the best doctor ever! He is truly the master! Very professional! He did 11 cavities and 3 crowns for me and I never felt pain or had any complaints. The office staff is very professional and you are always in and out. The office is very modern, clean and has the newest equipment. My highest recommendations to this practice.

I found Dr. Michael Katayev through ZocDoc and chose him because of his available time. I must say, I could not have been happier with my experience. Upon walking in, the office itself is beautiful, clean and very well lit. It wasn’t intensely, brightly lit but soft to the eyes. I checked in and sat for about 8 minutes in there spacious waiting room. After coming into the back, I sat right down and immediate was prepared for X-Rays as I was a new patient. I must add in that in each room there are tv’s with running cable; it was a nice touch. After the XRays taken by the Tech, Dr. Kateyev walked in and explained exactly what I was looking at on the TV turned computer monitor by the simple press of a “source” button. Once he answered my questions on the XRays we went right into the original check of my teeth. As he navigated my teeth he narrated what he was seeing and provided me with what to expect in the upcoming cleaning. He started cleaning and prepared me for any areas that may sensitive. As he was cleaning his Tech was right him making sure my mouth stayed dry so he would work. Once he was done, he provided a “blast” polish which took off some of my coffee stains. It was the first time, I have had this and he explained it like a “mini hurricane in your mouth”; he couldn’t of been more right. After he polished my teeth we were done and he provided me some recommendations for better maintenance. I left the office with a 6 month check up and truly pleased with my experience. I think in total my entire visit was under 45 minutes. He and his office staff provided me such a great experience that I volunteered to write my first Yelp review for his practice. I will most definitely be back and will be bringing my friends.

Great great service! And expertise. The doctor is excellent in explaining what needs to be done and why. I had been treated there a few years back when I moved in the office the neighborhood. When I got a new insurance provider I went to another dentist because they “were in network”. It was a mistake. I recently had some more work done and finally came back. I didn’t care whether they were in or out of network. I wanted better care and confidence that it would be done right. I’m thankful I returned.

Dr Katayev is extremely professional and goes the extra step to explain what is being done on your teeth/mouth to ensure the patient is comfortable. Above all, he cares – I had a filling come out just before he was closing for the night, and him and his staff stayed late to make sure I was taken care of. Highly recommend!

My name is Dijella and I just want to say that today I went in for an extraction and fillings and I had the best experience with Dr. Micheal Y. and he was very patient in explaining everything what he was doing he was gentle and extracted my tooth within 5 minutes and its been 6 hours since my extraction and I have no bleeding or swelling and it was a wisdom tooth I am so grateful and very happy and he treated also my children for fillings and they are doing excellent Thank you sooooo much and I will always be a patient and recommend them to everyone!!!!!

Oh Wow! This dental office is extremely friendly and professional. There is an office manager Shauna, she is so helpful with insurance stuff and she explained the coverage for my procedures so well…I really like this office, also Dr. K is amazing, very gentle and I can tell that he is professional dentist. i had my 2 wisdom teeth pulled a week ago and i felt no pain, i just had slight swelling,but now i have nothing… Thats great and well done Doc!!!

The best dentist and staff ever in my 60 plus existence. Everyone is extremely courteous and knowledgeable and surprisingly enough, there is never a long wait for appointments or in the waiting room. I highly recommend Murray Hill Dental.

Very professional and friendly staff. My appointments never feel rushed like other practices I have used in the past. Each member of the staff from the dentist, technicians, hygienists, assistants and office staff all take an interest in your care. . I always leave feeling valued and that I’ve received excellent care.

I was referred to Murray Hill Dental through a co-worker of mine. I came in with chipped front teeth. I suffer from dentophobia. The friendly staff gave me a relaxed environment. They allowed me to use my headphones & even had a tv available. They educated me on dental hygiene & reminded me of appnts via text mess & phone calls. The best part was when my teeth were done. You would have never known they were ever chipped. They also did my root canal, cavities & gave me a great pay plan. Dr. M. Katayev Is my dentist.. If you have any skepticism, I encourage you to ask to see Jeanette Walton’s before & after. You won’t be disappointed.

Relaxing,professional experience. I found Dr.Katayev from the yelp and i completely agree with Ryan.F=))( thank you by the way). From the initial greetings by the staff to the entire dental check-up and cleaning,it was calming,thorough and pain-FREE!!!!! The office is gorgeous and super clean…i found it very important because ive been to many dental offices and most r old ratty looking and have a funky dental smell) But This one was not the case..Everything in his office r really cool and new!!!! After filling out the usual paperwork,i was greeted by the dental assistant,she took some xrays which i was immediately able to see on the computer screen which was really awesome! Ive never seen this before) Then Dr.Katayev took the time to show and explain things to me that none of my other dentists ever did,he is really very patient!!! He has a very warm personality,very professional and cool!!!!

I came into the office last month after an accident and let me tell you… I texted their phone that I needed an emergency appointment and I had an appointment the following day. Murray Hill dental will work with you if you do or don’t have insurance. My initial visit I paid biweekly until my insurance kicked in. I came in with a fractured tooth and and left with a smile better then the one I had before my accident. My entire family goes to Murray hill dental and they schedule our appointments around each other. Hands down best dental office in town. Dr Katayev is definitely an expert at his craft and a very friendly caring person.

I was so scared to get my wisdom tooth pulled, 2 years ago I had a painful experience, so this time I decided to try a new place and how thankful I am that I did. The dentist was awesome! The staff friendly and professional. I highly recommend them and its not because I have less “wisdom”�

It was my first time coming to this office, and truthfully from beginning to end the process was easy, professional, and courteous. From making my appointment, (which they were kind enough to try and accommodate with a time of my choosing) to the day of my visit. The office is clean and well maintained, the staff is knowledgeable, kind, professional and REALLY know their stuff! The doctor is fabulous! He’s patient, kind, takes his time explaining everything and answered all my questions. I left the office content and satisfied and with all my needed follow up appointments too! All in all…a tremendous experience!

Wonderful!!!! They accommodated me today as a new urgent patient having tooth/gum pain and gave me a cleaning as well. The office was very nice, clean, and welcoming and every single member of their team was outstanding. Warm, friendly, and courteous! Easy pleasant and very through teeth cleaning. So happy to have found them and will he going to them from now on. Highly recommend!
