If there is such a thing as a “Great Experience” when seeing a Dentist, I had one.  From the front desk to the Dentist, they are WONDERFUL people.  Dr. Rodriguez explained everything he was doing and talked me through what needs to be addressed. Dr. Rodriguez is fenomenal. I went to see him for a wisdom tooth removal. Was the first time I had to get a tooth removed and I was so scared. As much as I hate dental appointments, this one went really well. I was able to book the appointment online. I got a response from the receptionist to confirm almost immediately, even though it was the weekend. I also got follow up text messages to remind me of the appointment, give me directions and tell me about the parking situation. Only one patient is booked per hour, so the reception area was empty. Dr. Rodriguez was very pleasant. He did an initial exam. I needed updated x-rays which he was able to do from the same chair. He explained the x-rays. No new cavities. He moved on to the cleaning, which went well. I was in and out in about 40 minutes. Overall a great experience!

Dr. Rodriguez is both an exceptional dentist and kind person. He took me as a first-time patient, first thing this Saturday morning with very little notice. Dr. Rodriguez thoroughly reviewed a concern I had which a previous dentist had simply glossed over, determined to find the true cause of the problem. When it became apparent the issue with my gum/tooth was significant and required immediate care by a specialist, Dr. Rodriguez and his staff went out of their way to track down someone whom he trusted open on a Saturday and assured me they would get me an appointment there within the hour. He was even kind and compassionate enough to console me when I started to panic. I now have a treatment plan to quickly resolve a significant problem that could have become much worse absent Dr. Rodriguez’s incredibly thoughtful and quick response. I cannot recommend him highly enough, and am sad I did not go to see him until the end of my time in DC. Had I gone to him sooner (and not the other dentists closer to work that I had tried), I know I would have been well taken care of. He goes above and beyond.

I have intentionally avoided the dentist for years since I have pretty good oral hygiene and I’m a firm believer in the power of oil pulling – at least that’s what I’ve been telling myself ‘cuz I hate the experience of going to get my teeth cleaned especially when I have saliva collecting that might choke me with my mouth open and all and my stuffy nose making it hard to breathe! But anyway, my own story aside, Dr Rodriguez made everything comfortable by explaining everything and even acknowledging the situation when it was obviously loud or uncomfortable. I’ve been here twice now, for my cleaning and then followed by a filling (old cavity filling opened up a bit). The cleaning was covered by my insurance and payment went smoothly! The second was not covered by my insurance plan but Dr Rodriguez checked himself and made sure that I knew that and even suggested some options for me to take should I decide to go elsewhere or stay other him. One of the front desk receptionists knows what she’s doing and does it well. As for the other one, he’s still learning. Be sure to call in the day before your appointment if you don’t get a call from them because that could mean there’s a booking issue. Nevertheless they’ll help you figure it out and make sure things work out.
