Best Orthodontist/Dentist in bay area… Dr Ashouri and her staff are very caring and honest. Believe me I have been to many orthodontist for my teeth and I can say with confidence that Dr Ashouri is one of the best. She really cares about her customers. She gives 100% attention and does her job very professionally and her stuff is highly skilled and professional. I can’t explain in words that how happy I am with the results. Before choosing Dr. Ashouri, I had consultations with four other 5-star-yelp-reviewed orthodontists, and she was the best one! She listened to my situation, properly assessed my situation, and had a very sensible treatment plan. Other orthodontists recommended a number of things that didn’t seem appropriate for my case, like a dental split. Other orthodontists would get impatient when I asked questions because I have a lot of questions since I’ve done a lot of research and really want to understand the treatment plan and be sure it’s right for me. Dr Ashouri was patient, and understood my case, and seemed to have good orthodontic intuition. I’m very grateful I found Dr Ashouri, as she had a good sense of what was going on with my teeth, and was very honest about knowns and unknowns, and patiently answered my questions. She was trained at UCSF, and is one of the rare board certified orthodontists in the area, meaning she has voluntarily completed additional training and continuing education courses. Her additional training shows in her practice. After my first year of invisalign with Dr. Ashouri, I have seen significant improvement in my bite. I’m going to be starting a refinement soon to complete the treatment. In the last month, Dr. Ashouri has tirelessly went back and forth with me on my refinement on all the detailed questions and requests that I had over email, updating my clinchecks and allowing me to review them. You can rely on on her to follow through and carefully consider everything that you have asked about and asked for, and understand the complexity of your case. The only challenge we faced is that since the pandemic, the new invisalign technicians handling my case weren’t always doing what she asked for initially, but I still truly believe she did more than any other office would do and we’re very close to arriving at very solid refinement through our iterations. Some offices would consider me to be a challenging patient because I’m very thorough, I do my research, and ask questions most patients don’t ask. Dr. Ashouri has consistently responded kindly with a full consideration of all the facts, and a desire to get you the best outcome possible. If you make a good point, she will consider it. If there’s a reason to go a different way, she will say why. She really is the best, and I’m so grateful for her kind consideration and patience. She also was very understanding during COVID19 and was willing to make special accommodations for my office visit because I live with someone who is at higher risk. I truly appreciate an office that can be understanding and accommodating to their patients and meet their varying needs, even after they’ve signed up. She will make sure that you are happy throughout your time as her patient, not just at the beginning when you sign up like some offices may feel like. Prior to seeing Dr. Ashouri, I had invisalign 10years ago with a dentist who said they could close spaces between my teeth easily– I went along with it, not going to any other professional consultations and not doing any other research, and not even considering the difference between a dentist and an orthodontist. That was a huge mistake. After that 10yrs ago dentist and a 2yr treatment, I was left with an open bite on one side, my upper incisors were ridiculously retroclined, and my upper arch was moved back so much I couldn’t easily bring my bite together. The problems from the first invisalign through the dentist are what compelled me to finally seek out a highly trained and experienced orthodontist 10 years later to fix those issues caused the first time. I highly suggest that if you pursue orthodontic treatment, you don’t just go with the cheapest or the first person suggesting it. Go with someone who is highly trained and experienced and has proven results over time, and who seems to understand your situation. And someone who has a great bedside manner and is very patient and takes in all information, and has excellent intuition and logic. I wish I had seen Dr. Ashouri 10 years ago for my original orthodontic treatment, which would have saved me a lot of time, effort, and money. While Dr. Ashouri’s price was slightly higher than other offices I saw, I still think if you’re going going to go for it, go with the best person and you won’t be sorry. After my first experience with someone else was botched 10 years ago, I was anxious about a new treatment, but I truly feel Dr. Ashouri was able to address all of my concerns and create an effective sensible treatment over time. When my colleagues and friends ask for an orthodontist, I know who to recommend! Feel free to see other 5-star orthodontists for consultations, and I think you’ll come to the conclusion I did. I chose to give this review to reflect the great effort and work that Dr. Ashouri has done on my case thus far. I plan to update my review once I’ve completed my orthodontic treatment to share the great final outcome I anticipate.

Doctor Nahal Ashouri. Let’s read the 5 stars rate quote at Yelp: Wohoo! As good as it gets! Indeed. My story was a sad one and then I met Dr. Maryam Amidi – who referred me to Dr. Ashouri. I am getting closer to a happy end. After falling out of the decision of correcting my teeth (due to a bad orthodontic relationship in the past), my gum started decaying. Big decision time – keep my teeth or let it go… like the Frozen song. So, I decided to keep them. And then I meet Dr. Ashouri. Happy encounter. Cheap? – maybe not. But who wants to go cheap with teeth – my original “orthodontist” (don’t want to mention Tawfik here. I am over her) gives whitening through Groupon. I am a big fan of Groupon, but saving money and oral health do not match. I has shocked to see that Fr. Ashouri did not have 5 stars and checked the bad reviews. The main complaint is not about the treatment, but about quotes and the cost of X-rays, 3d pics. I am Nahal Ashouri all the way. Fear not. Go for it. Maybe I should post a picture of my mouth before and after?…

The 5 of us in our household are HUGE Dr. Ashouri FANS!!! Each and every one of us has had OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCES (2 people braces, 2 people Invisalign, all 5 of us have retainers, etc.) and SUCCESSFUL RESULTS. I could write a novel about this office with soooooo many examples that you’d think I was getting paid (I am NOT!). Bottom line is that the staff is knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and GREAT; the office is BEAUTIFUL (they change it for the seasons/holidays); and Dr. Ashouri is personable, patient, professional and BRILLIANT!

I totally agree with other reviewers, five start for Dr Ashouri. She is an excellent and knowledgeable orthodontist. I have a very bad result from another orthodontist, and I am looking for a very knowledgeable orthodontist to fix my teeth. my friend told me Dr Ashouri is a very high qualified and a nice orthodontist to work with. After the first visit, I knew I am at the right place. Dr Ashouri give me a thoroughly check, very professional. There are two options to fix my teeth, invisalign or retainer. Then I decide to go for retainer. After wearing the active retainer for three weeks from now, my bite feel much better. I am happy to visit her because I know there is an improvement for my teeth after each visit. Dr Ashouri and her staff are also very response to the emergency call, when I feel my bite is not right, Dr Ashouri sees me the same day when I call in, and she fix the active retainer to comfort my teeth. She is very amusing and high qualified orthodontist I would recommend to anyone.

If you need an orthodontist for either braces OR Invisalign, this is THE place to go. I had 6 consultaions before making my decision. I have 3 children, and it is important to me to have the best for my entire family. I saw two orthodontists in Los Altos, 3 in Mountain View, and 1 in Sunnyvale. Dr. Ashouri’s office is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO warm and friendly that it is hard to imagine it is a dentist office. She is always pleasant and smiling, and her staff are very well trained and personal. Aftern knowing the people at the office, I decided to evern do Invisaline for myself which is almost completed. They are always on time and they value our time as patients. I wholeheartedly recommend this office to anyone in need of braces or any orthodontic treatment. I have already sent many of my friends and family there, and I have heard nothing but great feedback. I assure you that you will not only receive great treatment, but love the process of it too. Enjoy!

Like everyone else, I researched the place before I made any sort of commitment. I first started out with a consultation with Dr. Ashouri just to get a feel and see what type of person she is. Needless to say, the consultation was just the spark that gave me the push to chose Dr. Ashouri’s place. She was very kind, heard what I said, never once pressured or gave me a sense or feeling of “another paying customer.” She’s very down to earth and guided me to the right direction. I needed an underbite surgery but before that I had to seek an orthodontist to guide me there. Dr. Ashouri and her wonderful team treated me for 2 full years. Out of those 2 full years, any scheduling conflict or issues with my teeth, they would work with you and make sure you are taken care of. I’ve never had an issue going there and the team always treated me with respect. Dr. Ashouri, and her team were always professional, courtesy, on time, and treated me to the best of my needs. I looked and researched multiple places before I went to Dr. Ashouri. If you in doubt or ever need a place to start. I HIGHLY recommend this place as the first place to go to. You won’t regret it and I doubt you’ll go anywhere else.

I recommend Dr. Ashouri to any prospective “Invisaligners” in the SF Bay Area. Dr. Ashouri is extremely professional and knowledgeable. Additionally, her staff is very friendly and went above and beyond to work with my insurance. I couldn’t be happier with the final outcome. Not only did I finished my procedure in less than a year, but my smile is now flawless.

First, with the reccomendation of a friend, I took my daughter ro Dr. Ashouri’s office. My daughter used to be a thumb sucker, so she had not only crooked teeth, but also a mis-shaped and narrw mouth. Dr. Ashouri did a butterfly expander for her for just a few months with a few braces. Her teeth look great and her bite and bone are fixed as well. After my daughter was done, I inquired about Invisalign for my own teeth. Although she does quite a bit of Invisalign, she said that it was not appropriate for me and so I got clear braces. Even though my treatment is not finished yet, I am already so happy with my results. Although we live in San Jose, it is totally worth driving to Mountain View to be treated by this great orthodontist and warm staff. I highly reccomend her. NH

Dr. Ashouri and her staff, all beautiful women I must say, have made my continuing experience with braces informative and pleasant. Having a fear of dentists ,and the like, I was pleased with the introduction, the full explanation of the process and the subsequent treatments. I  had crooked teeth for awhile in my adult life and didn’t like my smile. Since my braces have been on, my teeth are now where they are supposed to be. The progress is very satisfying and I look forward to my new smile. I can now say I look forward to my next appointment at a dental office.
