Our first appointment during the quarantine period for Covid-19 was this week (Aug 2020), but we’vebeen seeing Dr. Carmichael for a year and a half. Dr. Carmichael sees my daughter (5) and me. We both love her and her staff. Her dental hygiene team is very talented, knowledgeable, and gentle! Her office staff is VERY organized, personable, and understanding. We know that if anyone in the family has dental issues, we have someone we can trust who will treat us with care, and the team is always there to make sure we keep up our regular appointments to stay healthy!

I have never met a Dentist and staff like this in my life. From the staff members to the Dentist Natayla herself they are caring, openhearted and truthwothy. This is the first time in my 50 year life that I have found a dentist who isn’t just about the money, they truly live a mission through this office to help people. They will work with you to make a way to get what you need. I believe that God blessed me the minute I walked through their doors. This is so rare to find, and they are a hidden gem. I recommend them to all of my friends, family and anyone who asks.

Dr. Carmichael is great! She has brought a lot of new and updated technology to the practice. During my appointment Dr. Carmichael diagnosed me needing a root canal. She was very gentle and informative. I felt I had a complete understanding of what was being done and what was needing to be done in the future. The front staff was wonderful. Nancy helped me understand my insurance benefits and I feel confident that I am being taken care of. I recommend Dr. Carmichael and her staff to everyone!

I had an awesome experience at this office. The dentist was junot only kind, but explained the procedures and why the procedures must be done. This was the first I felt included in my care. The dentist was efficient and gentle, which I truly appreciated. I felt comfortable during the entire time there, which is a rare case for me. The staff was able to work with me and my insurance coverage, which most companies will not go through the hassle of doing. Shocker, but I enjoyed my time at this dental office! I highly recommend Dr. Carmichael and her team. I look forward to my next visits :). Thank you guys for a great experience, I think I have found my “go-to” dentist from now on!

I had to have a crown for the first time at 60+ years of age and was somewhat apprehensive about the procedure. Dr. Carmichael and her staff were extremely kind and understanding. They explained every step of the process which helped to relieve my anxiety. During the procedure, they made sure that I did not feel any pain and reassured me that everything was going great. Yesterday when I went back for the permanent crown, Dr. Carmichael spent a significant amount of time with me making sure that it fit perfectly. Everyone in the office is friendly and easy going. We are lucky to have Dr. Carmichael and her caring staff in our community!

I haven’t been to the dentist in a couple of years so I was nervous, but Dr. Carmichael and the rest of the office was great!  Everyone who worked there was very friendly and took the time to answer all of my questions.  I had a lot of questions.  They were more than happy to go over things with me, and clarify where necessary.  Mike and Pablo were both really helpful and Dr. Carmichael and all the others gave me a smooth visit!  X-ray, exam, cleaning, were much better than I remember them being with other dentists.  They know what they’re doing and strive to make it as easy as possible.  I FINALLY found a dentist I can be comfortable with in San Diego!

Have been Dr Carmichael’s patients several years now. We inherited her when Dr Dick Coddington retired. She is very skillful (good hands), capable, knowledgeable & has great bedside manner. I was impressed she cd get to my back molar which most dentists struggle with because of a small mouth. She is also personable and explains anything if I ask. A few months ago, she shared that she volunteered her time to provide dental care during her vacation time to Buddhist monks at a monastery in Nepal/or Bhutan (?). Wow, talk about World community service! My husband likes that she uses lot of hi tech’ dental equipment and procedures. For example when I asked why I was having an xtra procedure, she was able to show immediate photos/xrays of my problem teeth. She uses an xtra “jet water” pick to clean my teeth. She takes our Aetna insurance and her office is very efficient and prompt about processing the paperwork and sending us a check back for what insurance covers. She hires very capable and personal dental hygienists who always teach me something new about dental care. The same w/ her office staff. Pablo, is her friendly, capable office manager. Yesterday when I went in to pick up my Rx Fluoride toothpaste, PreviDent, Pablo was assissted by Eloia. So we have been very happy w/ Dr Carmichael’s excellent dental office.

I normally don’t write reviews on here, but I had to for this occasion. What can I say about Dr. Carmichael, she is very informative and caring. She was very thorough in explaining what was being done at our appt. She’s gentle and friendly and I love the fact that she doesn’t try to be a salesman on telling me things I don’t need. Her assistant Gloria, is the BEST! She’s so nice and caring as well as informative. She’s so motherly and made me feel like everything was going to be okay. Her front staff is also friendly and very business professional. I highly recommend her and her staff!

This was my first time to the Dentist in 30 years. For whatever reason, my fear of the dentist from when I was a wee boy carried over to now. Dr. Carmichael and her team made me feel calm and not stress out as much as I was walking in. I would most definitely recommend her to anyone.

Dr Carmichael provides excellent dental care, clearly explains all procedures, doesn’t push unnecessary treatments, and makes sure each patient is comfortable and happy before they leave. The staff is friendly and accommodating as well. I highly recommend..

Excellent staff. Was looking for a new dentist and am glad I found this place. Dr. Carmichael took the time to explain in detail everything she was doing and made sure I understood treatment goals. The dental hygienist Bo also did an excellent job. I had a deep cleaning with Bo and she was very detail oriented and made the procedure relatively pain free. Thank you!

Nov 2018: Update – Still 5 stars. I needed help from the front desk today. I had an unusual administration paperwork request and Calisha helped me out. She is new to the office since my September visit. She was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and took care of everything. Thanks Calisha! Sept 2018: I am a new patient of Dr. Carmichael’s. She recently replaced a crown on my front tooth after a root canal. I was a little apprehensive – I didn’t know how well it would match the crown/teeth next to it. Perfect! The dental assistant was very experienced and did a great job too. She and Dr. C worked well together as a team during the removal of the old crown and prep for the new one. She made the temporary crown that I wore for two weeks until the permanent crown was ready. Considering it was a prominent front tooth I was very impressed with the temporary. Added bonus: Dr. Carmichael treated a cold sore that was starting to form on my lower lip. She used her dental laser to make “eraser” motions over the cold sore. After the treatment there was no more pain/tingling and the cold sore disappeared after just a few days. I have used products like Abreva to treat cold sores before and thought they worked very well. This laser treatment was even better than that. I had never heard of using a laser like this. It was like magic!

As someone w/ a severe hearing loss & equally severe dental anxiety, this by far has been the best experience one could hope for. The staff overall is amazing and I instantly felt at home. I will be letting everyone know this is the best place one could come for oral health. <3
