It was a pleasant surprise driving by my neighborhood and seeing a newly redesign building that has been here for thirty years, for as long as I remember. A couple of weeks passes by and I noticed a dental office opening in the same building with an orange sign. I drove in out of curiosity and also having the need to get a check up. I was greeted by very friendly staff who offered their brochure and specials. Since I had some time and I decided to get exam and cleaning with their free electric toothbrush promotion. I thought it was a little awkward since I did not prepare for actual dental visit but I was glad that I stayed for visit. I was introduced to new informations I do not know about and I had a opening special to take full mouth X-ray and pano with Newbite dental’s latest technology. Dental chair was the most comfortable chair I ever sat in and it was orange too. I saved the best to last, Dr Koo was very professional and caring and gentle with her treatments. She has a lovely warm office where I think she will soon be the staple of our neighborhood.

I received many treatments from Dr. Koo including dental fillings, dental caries, and nerve treatment over a period of a few months. Compared to other dentists, I am old enough to experience a half dozen dentists, they are genuinely sincere, professionally trained, and cost conscious. Particularly you receive continuous attention from Dr. Koo herself who seems to possess a delicate hands with deep medical knowledge. Miss Cho , the licensed dental assistant, also deserves a million praises for her diligent care of patient’s needs during the treatment. If you are spending two long hours in the dental chair, no matter how comfortable it may feel, you can not breath without her help. She was more than excellent in that aspect, because she makes you relaxed as if You are lying at the beach chair at the ocean side, relatively speaking. After all the treatment, I neither had to take any kind of aspirin nor had to come back for the re-treatment

Dr Koo is the Best!!! Very gentle and knowledgeable. Her work is superb!!! Had 4 crowns in the front at one time done and they look fantastic!!! She is the first dentist I have not had to use nitrous. I have a small mouth and usually dentist seem to hurt. I’m 65 and have had a lot of dental work done over the years. This is the first dentist I have ever recommended and I feel blessed that we have the opportunity to have such a great dentist in our area. OMG! Jasmine great welcoming personality,very patient and explained my treatment and helped me plan for my treatment plan! Kayla great personality as well and helped me stay calm and relax along with Dr.Koo, DDS! I say this in all honesty that I was a little scared of going back to the dentist in the Carrollton area because every time that I go to the dentist I get sick. Not the snuffles sick but full-blown sick, where you contemplate how amazing life is not being sick and how you would do anything to not be ill. That being said, I’m a bit of a clean freak and care a lot about how clean a dentist office is with the spread of bacteria and viruses. Dr. Koo’s office is immaculately clean and I have now been there more than 4 times. A staff member of Dr. Koo’s named Su, is an amazing dental assistant that is constantly cleaning and changing her gloves when having to go back and forth to get supplies for Dr. Koo to even preparing for the next patient with making sure that no one will ever get sick and ensuring everything will run smoothly not for just Dr. Koo but me as well. As for the main reason for coming to New Bite Dentistry beside a dental cleaning is that I tend to grind my teeth at night, and chipping and breaking of my teeth happens a lot. Dr. Koo helped explain every W (Who, What, When, Where, and Why) she is fixing it, with how to prevent it. Dr. Koo was not in a hurry and wanted me to fully understand everything and that she won’t cut any corners to waste my time or hers. Walking in, the front desk and waiting room are very clean and neat. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed. Although this office is relatively new, Dr. Koo is very experienced and did my cleaning very quickly. The only thing that took a while were the X rays, but thats a given because i was a new patient for them. After my examination, Dr. Koo quickly gave me the treatments to my mouth problems, since i had not been to a dentist in 2 and a half years. Will be a returning patient as long as my insurance is taken.

Prior to visiting Dr Koo ‘s office, I really did not know what was being done in the dental office and how important the Bite was. My previous dentist had placed crown way too high in which I did not realize. I had a lot of pain for months and I finally went to Newbite Dentistry and Dr Koo explained to me why I was having pain and how to get better. Not only she took care of my dental pain but she had educated me how to take care of my teeth and be attentive to my teeth and what is going on in my mouth. Amazing family dentist! Dr. Koo is incredible and her team, go above and beyond to ensure comfort for their patients. The receptionist and staff is outstanding, as I watch and monitor the whole staff just because I don’t trust to many people with my kids. Dr. Koo came out, introduced herself and asked if I had any questions, concerns -which I did- once we were done discussing my concerns. She approached my kids and they very calmly waited to gain her trust. Dr. Koo explained what procedures she was going to perform and how she was going to approach each task(s) in detail. I had to go in for a tooth extraction. The actual extraction took all of 14 minutes after about 20-30 minutes of x-rays, consultations, and waiting for the numbing agent to work. I felt absolutely no pain, only pressure. It’s been 2 days since the procedure and I feel no pain! One of the nurses even called me yesterday to check on how I was feeling. This dental clinic is so clean and nice. Dr. Koo is really kind, friendly also her team!! I just moved to the States from South Korea. I have done a retainer in South Korea and it broke when I moved to here so I had to fix that. Normally most of dentists don’t want to fix that or charge really expensive if you get that in different place (in South Korea) but Dr. Koo understand my situation well and she fixed like perfectly!! A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR

Dr. Jenni Koo is originally from Korea but was raised in Queens, New York. Between aquiring her artistic skills from her mother, who majored in fine arts, at the prestigious art College in Korea and receiving guidance from her uncle, who is a well-known lab technician in Virginia, she knew from an early age she wanted to be a dentist Dr. Koo received her Bachelors and Doctor of Dental Science degree from New York University College of Arts and Science and College of Dentistry in 1998. After her graduation, she was accepted into a General Practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center of Albert Einstein Medical School. During her residency, she was trained to treat various 24-hour emergency dental cases as well as assist in the treatment of head and neck surgery. She also trained in treating severely compromised cancer patients. At the completion of her residency, she accepted and served as a clinical faculty member at NYU. In addition to all her training and experience, Dr. Koo worked in US military clinic for 12 years serving US serviceman and family members. Having lived and traveled all over, Dr. Koo enjoys the DFW area, southern culture, weather and influx of growth. Dr. Koo is married and has 2 children. In her spare time, she enjoys watching her children play sports and swimming in their backyard pool.
