They are all so amazing and nice! Dr. Taveras is the greatest, he has the lightest and gentlest touch when it comes to getting a numbing shot. Gloria is the most sweets person. I love how she explains everything and let’s you know what she is doing. Fari is so kind, helpful, and genuine. They are all a true blessing!! They treat you like family. A 1,000 times recommend them.

First visit and im already a regular. Absolutely loved the welcoming service of the staff. Super nice and funny, the doctor was very wonderful as well. They explained to me my treatment plan and the x-rays were easy to do. Very understanding and asked me if i needed breaks in between. Wonderful Membership plan that you can sign up for to lessen your costs, highly recommended as a future regular at this location.

I came in to fix a crown and everything was done so fast (x-rays, re-cement, etc). Going back in a few weeks for a cleaning. I was terrified of going to the dentist. I have had so many horrible, painful experiences that traumatized me as a teen and young adult. The staff at New Tampa smiles made me feel so welcoming. I had the absolute best cleaning I have ever had in my life and is was painless. I was shocked! I came in for a much needed cleaning, the staff is so helpful, clear, and patient. I have a really strong gag reflex and they helped work with me so I would be comfortable and it wouldn’t bother me. The office is super clean and organized, and they took procedures to make sure everything was clean with COVID. I drove 2 1/2 hours to make it here, definetly worth the drive. The best cleaning I’ve ever had. Will return.

I love this dentist office! First of all, they are super clean which is so important to me, i noticed how organized all their supplies were and how clean all the tables and equipment were. I had an amazing great experience with the dentist and the whole entire staff. I recommend this office for any kind of treatments, they are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They really listen to your concerns and make you feel comfortable! I had pain on my wisdom tooth that was growing side ways and i called the office for removal of it, they understood in what pain i was in and scheduled me as soon as possible. They squeezed me in their schedule in a few days. When i got there, the whole staff was very sweet and nice. They made me feel at ease, i was really nervous for my procedure. Dr. Jean Paul came in and explained the whole process and post care, he was very professional and sincere the whole time. I didn’t even realize how fast everything got done. They gave me extra gauze for the bleeding and recommended some at home treatments to take care of the pain and discomfort. I love this place and will be back!!

When you walk into Tampa Smiles your greeted by a smiling receptionist.Then hygenist Fari greets you and she is an angel from heaven while working cleaning your teeth she sings and puts you at ease. Then you meet Dr Jean Paul he is the best Dentist I have ever been too. Explains procedures in detail what he is going to do.I experienced no pain at all when he was working on me. I hate going to the dentist. Have horrible experiences over the years. This was by far the best dentist visit I have ever had. The entire staff was amazing!!! I recommend them wholeheartedly coming from the girl who called 9 dentists before picking Dr. Taveras. I’m so happy I did! 4/13- just had my wisdom tooth pulled. Was as wonderful as an experience as one can be having teeth pulled. So glad I choose this team of amazing people!

My crown fell out when I was getting ready for work. They got me in Friday afternoon. I have never been here before and they got me in on a Friday. From the phone call all the way through they were very friendly, helpful, and professional. To say I enjoyed my visit to the dentist is strange but true. When I tell you this is the best dentist I’ve ever visited, oh boy. I never took care of my teeth as much as I wished and when dentist would overcharge/scold me, it just made me not wanna care even more. Doctor T was the first dentist that actually seemed to care (cliché I know). First dentist to tell me the TRUTH about my wisdom teeth, made sure I already had antibiotics to help with my tooth pain (only 1 dentist ever recommended antibiotics, and it was an online dentist). Along with all this he stayed focused on what I wanted fixed, which was a root canal on #19. Most dentist would say I had to get other treatments done first (tooth needs to be pulled along with cavities and wisdom teeth) instead of the thing causing me pain. Overall the experience has really helped me realize the importance of dentistry. Along with a very chill and professional dentist, the assistant Taylor was great at keeping me relaxed and calm (low key freak out at the dentist) and kept calm with doctor t as the drilled away at my tooth. THEN TO TOP IT OFF, the manager Fari kept great conversation before and after treatments to help me stay relaxed, answered any freak out question about my treatment, and really made it feel at home. Going to the dentist is scary, especially if it’s not regularly. The fear of hearing everything wrong with your mouth really makes going to the dentist unpleasant, but not anymore. 1000% recommended and will be returning regularly (even though it’s a 50 min drive for me, it really is that worth it) 1

I have been several places as well have a dentist in my family! I have never had such great service and experiences with a dentist as I have had here at New Tampa Smiles. They also are handling my children as well! The maintenace plan they have is so economical for families and no inaurnace is needed. I also had a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth for years and no dentist caught it yet the dentist here did. And Thank God as there was lots of build up that could not be seen in the retainer. If you have a permanent retainer get it removed immediately. If you want quality dental care THIS PLACE IS A MUST!

Dr. Jean-Paul Taveras is originally from the Dominican Republic. He graduated from the universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo and obtained his Doctor in Dental Surgery degree in 2013 and graduated with Cum Laude honors. He then moved to Chicago and received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2017. Having Trained in the Dominican Republic and in the USA, Dr. Taveras has provided care to both the local and international communities. His focus is to provide quality and comprehensive dental care for his patients. Dr. Taveras believes in life-long learning through Continuing Education and delivering predictable evidence-based treatment. During his time off, he enjoys traveling, watching movies, sporting events, visiting theme parks and spending time with his family and his dog. “Helping people is my goal and it is truly what makes my career special.”
