I was having pain and swelling in my mouth that was getting increasingly worse. It was a Saturday and I was stressed that I wouldn’t be able to get into a dentist soon enough. I submitted an appointment request on their website and I got a call back within 30 minutes Dr. Mashkouri scheduled me to come in the same day. He and his assistant were very kind and helpful, and I got my problem taken care of while I was there. He was very warm and welcoming. I highly recommend him!

I was in so much pain crying and was not able to even speak and I was not able to find anyone who could do a root-canal on my moral tooth in the back since it was a difficult one to fix . Every dental office that I called was closed because of this pandemic situation and no one was seeing new or emergency patient. Then I found him and he was really nice and told me he would see me right away because I had so much pain and opened his office for me . He did my treatment right away and it was truly the most comfortable painless root canal procedure EVER . In addition , his office and staff were so professional and friendly that I felt like I knew them for so long because of how kind and friendly they treated me. I really appreciate him and his staff. I went from 10 out 10 pain level to 0 out of 10 in one day. He did not even charge me extra even though it was an emergency walk in. They are amazing and I highly recommend this office. Such an amazing and knowledgeable dentist.

I went to Dr. Mashkouri looking for a dentist and I left my appointment having made a new friend. Dr. Mashkouri is by far the best dentist I have been to in my life! Having lived in different countries in different parts of the world I have seen a lot of different dentists in my time. Some good. Some not so good. Dr. Mashkouri transcends any other dentist I have ever met. He is so thorough and uses all his professional expertise to figure out exactly what’s going on your mouth. He doesn’t try and oversell you on anything and helps keep you calm throughout the appointment. His assistant is very nice and friendly as well. This is by far the best team I have ever been to. Dr. Mashkouri is a real mensch! I needed an emergency procedure due to an abscess over a broken tooth that needed extraction. I was in level 12 pain, basically feeling as if my face had exploded. I reached out to him for an emergency appointment, and unfortunately his office was closed that day. Nevertheless he promptly responded to me by email, and accommodated me with an appointment the following morning and a referral to a highly regarded colleague to be seen that day. I saw his colleague who was fantastic, but my gratitude to Dr. Mashkouri is through the roof. He had no incentive to take time out of his day off to help me out, but he did and deserves the acknowledgement. Dr. Mashkouri is wonderful person.

I went in to have some botched cosmetic work fixed, and Dr. Mashkouri was not only kind and sympathetic, but fixed the issue quickly and brilliantly. He has a great eye and talked me through the entire process. I was so relieved, and my teeth look fantastic! Excellent service by the staff, who were patient and warm, and Rebecca, the technician, chased me down the street to return my purse when I forgot it in their office! I had a dental emergency, intense pain from one of my wisdom teeth. I called Dr. Mashkouri’s office and was seen the same day, within a few hours. Turns out he had to extract the tooth, which he did for me immediately. The procedure went so smoothly and I already feel better. As someone who spent years avoiding the dentist, this experience far exceeded my expectations. I plan to go back for more routine work, and I would not hesitate to send family to Dr. Mashkouri for anything they need. I rarely write reviews. However, Dr. Nima Mashkouri deserves a 5 star review. I was a demanding dental patient because I was moving out of state in less than a month. My first dental appointment was on August 19, 2019 for emergency dental pain on one molar that was unbearable. I was also having intermittent pain on 2 other teeth but that pain was only slight and tolerable. It turned out 3 teeth were severely decayed because I waited too long. Dr. Nima Mashkouri was able to perform 2 root canals and provide a new crown for a tooth that decayed under an old crown. After one of the root canals on a wisdom tooth, I was still having slight pain. Due to the time constraint, he went out of his way to double check that he didn’t miss a root. He then sent me to a specialist to further investigate for this possibility. The specialist’s consultation was inconclusive as well. Dr. Nima then explained that because this was a wisdom tooth, it wasn’t essential and that I should wait to see if the pain subsides.

So, all my life I haven’t been on top of cleaning my teeth. Also never really had money for the dentist either. I recently moved to California and a few months in a had to get my second root canal. Let me tell you this the lady who did it was awful, but that’s another story. I ended up cracking my back left molar and was scared for my life. I didn’t want to end up back in that ladies chair so I went on yelp and found Dr. Nima Mashkouri. I saw he had five stars on almost all his reviews, so I knew he must be doing something right. today I went in for my appointment. Waited literally 5 minutes and I was called back. The front desk ladies were absolutely lovely and made me feel comfortable. The nurses were the same, and made me feel less stressed about getting my teeth looked at, I got my X-rays done and then I met the dr. He was so positive and excited and that makes me feel even better. Found out I had to get another root canal and I am excited to have dr. Nima perform the surgery. He also helped me figure out how I’ll be paying for all this. Literally saved my life and my wallet!!!!!

Dr. Nima has single-handedly changed my opinion of the dental industry. This place is amazing. Great office, friendly (and funny) staff and state-of-the-art equipment. Dr. Nima has the best bedside manner I have ever experienced. He is honest, to the point, and did not try to up sell me on a bunch of useless and expensive procedures that many dentists have done in the past (His prices are also very reasonable.) I went in for a long – overdue visit and a chipped tooth. The entire experience was painless and dare I say “enjoyable?” I will be visiting Dr. Nima and his practice from now on without any reservations or hesitations. I’ve dreaded dental visits my entire life until I found this place. Dr Nima and his team have taken great care of my teeth for the last few years. They are professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I want to point out the hygienists are also fantastic. My appointments have always been super smooth without a wait. Within a few minutes of arriving for a scheduled visit, they are ready to start. Insurance and payment process is really quick as well. I’ve moved 50 miles away but I still choose to come here. The parking situation may be tough in this area. You may find free parking right in the front of the building if you are lucky. I usually wait 5-10 minutes and a spot opens up. If you are in a rush, there are paid parking structures nearby within walking distance.

Root Canal With Quick Recovery & Almost No Discomfort I needed a root canal for my furthest back lower right molar. I had sensitivity to cold, to hot, to pressure, when eating, you name it. I needed that tooth fixed. Dr. Nima and his dental assistant Ellie were outstanding. The procedure was somewhat long of course, and it was not uncomfortable, very little pain at all, throughout. Then when I got home and expected the pain to begin to be more present in the evening, it was very minor. I rinsed with warm salt water as instructed whenever i noticed it. The next day I had no discomfort at all. The best root canal experience I’ve ever had!

I am writing this long overdue review having never actually met Dr. Mashkouri in person. I called his office when I was in my second trimester of pregnancy believing I needed emergency dental surgery as a result of extreme pain around one of my wisdom team that had been getting worse over the course of a couple of weeks. Dr. Mashkouri took the time to get on the phone with me even though I was not a patient of his. He was very kind and knowledgeable, and listened to my explanation of what was wrong and was able to diagnose me over the phone- Pericoronitis. He explained that it would be possible to remove the tooth with the blessing of my OB but that I could try to get some relief at home with salt water rinses and some other remedies and delay any surgery or other dental work until after I delivered. Armed with a name for my ailment, I was able to learn a lot more about it online and followed Dr. Mashkouri’s advice as well as some other tips I read about. Within a couple of days I was much improved and within a week, I was almost completely pain free. 4 months later, I am still so grateful for his help and candid advice that saved me from having to undergo dental work during my pregnancy. I look forward to meeting him in person in the next couple of months post-delivery and working with him to get to the root of the problem! 🙂

I came all the way from Chicago for consultation & fell in love with the doctor & his sweet, fun, happy staff! They are not your average dental office where you do your cleaning/fillers/crowns! They do full range of dental procedures like root canal, implants, restoration, periodontal care, Invisalign, EMERGENCY exams etc. They don’t charge you for “emergency exams” they charge when they FIX the problem! (Seriously who does that?) The Dr. seems very smart, he’s very detail oriented, he did not rush me, his happy attitude, his fees are very reasonable (trust me on that) & all the Yelp reviews are exceptional!

Great team of professionals here. I was visiting LA on a business and had a veneer come off. I called several dentists in the area and no one would see me for at least a week or two. I don’t even know where to start! The best, the awesomest, the greatest, the most amazing- these titles won’t even suffice to describe the dental office of Dr Mashkouri. From the front desk, all the way to the back office the staff is just wonderful. The dental assistants are a pleasure to have by your side and unlike the last place I made a mistake going to, are exteremely qualified and efficient. As for Dr. Mashkouri-pure magician!!! You just know when you encounter someone who is an expert in their trade. I had a difficult root canal that the last dentist couldn’t finish, Dr. Mashkouri got it done with zero pain. He also extracted my wisdom tooth very quickly and painlessly and made sure to follow up and check on me the next day. I am just utterly impressed by the professionalism, skill and most importantly warm and friendly attitude of Dr. Mashkouri- he makes you feel like you are visiting friends and family, instead of the dreaded dentist office. I could write an essay on this place, but the bottom line is, if you not going to see Dr. Mashkouri you are missing out on the best dental care in Los Angeles! And trust me, I’ve been to enough dentists around here to know.
