Honestly an incredible experience. I hadn’t had a cleaning in over 2 years (embarrassing I know) Dr Pham completed my cleaning thoroughly and thoughtfully explaining the process. She then showed me some areas of my teeth to focus on with the mirror and explained the work to be done on the next visit. Not only was Dr Pham the best destiny I have seen but the receptionist was kind and bubbly and very on top of my paperwork. Even if I end up moving out of the neighborhood, I will absolutely be back here

I have lived in San Francisco for 25 years and can easily say this dental office is the best one I have been to thus far.   Dr. Pham and staff are extremely professional, talented, and just all around good people. Lisa at the front desk made this flawless process enjoyable and effortless. I have a very busy schedule, so the reminders throughout the month were very helpful. I would have 100% forgot if LIsa didn’t remind me. Thank you Nob Hill Dental for all you do! Keep up the good work. You will definitely see me and my family again 🙂

Excellent Office and Staff!  there was a schedule that fit with my busy schedule. Dr. Pham was very knowledgeable and saved time for the both of us when it came to teeth whitening by providing a take-home kit when she identified I already had Clear Retainers that could be used as my teeth whitening Tray instead of molding a new set of trays. Very accommodating and will definitely come back! Nice office too!

Good vibes all around when dealing with Nob Hill Dental. I’ve had my share of good docs and bad docs. If a doc makes the effort to talk to you without having the face mask covering their face, that’s a good start! But even before: I made my appointment talking with Henry, one of the office staff. He’s really nice. The receptionist was really nice. I dragged myself in off the street sort of sopping wet from the drizzle and instantly felt comforted by the cushy chairs and the calm demeanor of the staff. t-wing extras and was also very pleasant and chatted a bit. Dr. Pham came in and she introduced herself. I learned that she spent some time growing up here in San Francisco in the Richmond district before her family moved to San Jose. She’s East Coast trained from a fancy school (NYU) and returned here to the Bay Area. I like that! Dr. Pham is very professional and gets down to the dental work at hand. She doesn’t mess around. She made an effort to get to know me – which I don’t think any dentist has E-V-E-R tried to do. This was a meaningful relationship in the making 🙂 She’s super caring to make sure that you’re okay with what she’s doing. If you’re experiencing any pain, raise your hand! She personally did the dental cleaning – not done by a dental hygenist. Amazing! : 5 stars I think I’m in a new long-term relationship here…

Not many people enjoy going to the dentist, but this place makes that experience almost pleasant. I’ve been going to Dr. Pham and her staff for more than a year, and I can’t say enough good things about them. Everyone is super nice, friendly, and they remember you! It feels like a family dental office, and I know that Dr. Pham is looking out for my (and my teeths’) best interest rather than making another buck. I changed my insurance this year and ended up have to go to another dentist. Long story short, I had a terrible experience with them and called Nob Hill Dental to please take me back and that I’ll pay out of pocket just so that I can go back to them. They were super nice about it and Dr. Pham did a thorough check of my teeth. She’s gentle, and makes things as painless as possible. She told me that I don’t have any cavities (which the dentist I went to a few days before said that I did!). I appreciate her honesty, because if she had said that I need fillings, I would have taken her word for it in a heartbeat. The other dentist, not so much. I’m stuck with this insurance for 2015, but I would rather pay out of pocket and go to Nob Hill Dental than go anywhere else. These guys are super thorough with checking my teeth and gums, and they address all of my questions in an honest way. They’ve never tried to sell me anything that I don’t need, and my teeth feel so wonderful and clean after I leave their office. Thank you, Nob Hill Dental!

Dr. Pham has been fantastic with every exam, visit and consultation! The one thing that really stands out about her is that she really takes the time to listen to your concerns and actually appears genuine when doing so. She’s so cool that I actually stop by just to say hello when I pass by (I work in the same neighborhood). She even gives discounts for those paying cash out of pocket. Another wonderful aspect of Dr Pham and Nob Hill dental is that they make me feel at ease while I’m having any work done during a visit. I can say, without equivocation, that Dr Pham is awesome.

In his epic, Inferno, Dante Alighieri conveniently omitted “dentists” in his description of those reserved a lifetime of punishment due to inflicted suffering unto others. However, unlike the other transgressors, dentists are unfortunately cast into this mire through no fault of their own. Visiting these professional harbingers of pain falls somewhere between beheading and getting bitten by Luis Suarez in my list of “things I enjoy doing”. The sense of impending dread after x-rays, the cleaning, the Novocaine shot, the drilling, the impending fear of a nerve being struck, sending me into shouts of pain, muffled by that weird vacuum thingy. So, you can imagine my condition as I walked into Nob Hill Dental for my first checkup in nearly a year. And along every step of the way, the team conveyed sympathy and professionalism, making it a rainbow-farting unicorn amongst all dentist offices. Here’s why: PRE-APPOINTMENT: I used ZocDoc to sign up for an appointment, and several days prior, they called me in advance to confirm and get my insurance information straight. Now, since I just started a new job, my insurance switched, and unbeknownst to me was taking slightly longer than expected. Henry and Dr. Pham were both exceptionally helpful in getting my information and ensuring my appointment wouldn’t have to be rescheduled. I mean, being yelled at a receptionist for insurance information before putting my teeth in the torture rack doesn’t sound like a joyful experience, and I was very appreciative they took extra time to prepare for my visit. APPOINTMENT: Within five minutes of sitting in the chair, x-rays were being taken. The office runs with the calculated efficiency of a German assembly line and the cheerful nature of a kitten video. I was expecting to see a “Drill, Baby, Drill” poster somewhere for humor’s sake. Couldn’t find it. After the x-rays and cleaning (conducted by Dr. Pham herself, which…I don’t recall the last time a DDS has been the one to slop on the fluoride), she described the sad state of affairs my teeth had endured (sorry, guys. I blame the Oreos) and explained next steps. I quickly had a follow-up appointment scheduled for the next week, where she would go all Deepwater Horizon on my molars. APPOINTMENT #2: Once again, kitten video cheer permeated the office. Perhaps this was akin to a last meal before a political dissident is offered a blindfold? No…wait. Dr. Pham’s description of her planned tinkering for the day was effective, to the point, and comforting. Unbelievably comforting, I almost sensed my gums saying in a still, small voice, “hooray, needles!”. Of course, there was pain and noise and awkward blocks jammed in there to sap up the involuntary reactions my mouth has to fingers and vacuums being inserted…but it was minimal, non-excessive, and quickly remedied if necessary. Rest breaks were being offered, as if I was playing a World Cup match in the Amazon. Nope, Dr. Pham, just sittin’ here, watching you perform your unicorn-like dentisting. TL;DR. 5 stars. I heart Nob Hill Dental.

I ended up at this place because they were the only office that answered their phone on the afternoon I called around for a dental cleaning.  I totally lucked out!  Dr. Pham oozes competence, and everyone on the staff made me feel very comfortable.  It’s never pleasant to discover that you have both a cavity and a broken filling (though not surprising when you haven’t visited a dentist in 5+ years), but they had me back in the office within four days to fix me up. The whole process was relatively painless, and I can’t even feel the new fillings in my teeth.  A happy customer here!

I just relocated from New York to San Francisco and needed a new dentist. I was thrilled to find Maria Pham and her team at Nob Hill Dental. They truly lived up to all the rave reviews. I was seen immediately, they did a super thorough cleaning, and were so friendly it immediately melted away any dread I had about the appointment. I was also in and out in less than an hour which was miraculous since my appointment included x-rays, a cleaning, and polish. I am so happy I found Nob Hill Dental and am proud to call them my new dentist. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking!

I’m so grateful for Dr. Pham. Her office was able to fit me in the day after a late night dental emergency. I was very anxious about having a crown re-cemented, which I had never experienced before- but Dr. Pham immediately put me at ease with her bedside manner and knowledge. I could tell she has a very high attention to detail as she took care to ensure the bite was perfect for me. So far so good!
