I found Dr. Young through a yelp search for dental bonding, thinking I would need this procedure. I was expecting to pay a lot of money out of pocket to fix a small discoloration that had bothered me. However, Dr. Young saved my tooth without bonding and helped me save so much trouble and money. He is one of the nicest, most patient doctor I have ever met! He took almost an hour for a free consultation to talk me through all my options. I was ready to go with the most invasive option until Dr. Young told me two other options that were least invasive, saving me trouble of having to maintain tooth bonding and even saving me a lot of money. He honestly cares so much about the patient, and not about the business of dentistry. I am so lucky that the least invasive option actually fixed my tooth! His attention to detail and patience is so reassuring. You can tell dentistry is his passion. I am very particular with my dentist and after all of the research I have done for a cosmetic dentist, I am glad I went to him.

I had gaps between my teeth and wanted Bonding, but I did not want it to look like a total make over, Hollywood-style. I wanted it to look as natural as possible, just a little better than before. One dentist thought I needed a 19.000-Dollar procedure with 6 veneers and claimed nothing else would help me – even though I said that I might have a slightly different idea of what looks good. Dr. Stanton E. Young was the exact opposite. He is a fantastic dentist. He is kind and friendly, and absolutely the best when it comes to his job. He understood exactly what I wanted and what I could afford. During the procedure, I could tell how much attention to detail he put in. You can tell that he likes his job and helping people. They went out of their way to get me an appointment – in fact, Dr. Young came in on a day he normally would not have. I am happy I did not search for the cheapest alternatives – although this was very reasonably priced. Dr. Young and his staff made me feel comfortable and at ease at all times. I would not got to any other dentist in New York.

I just got back from my appointment with Dr. Young about an hour ago to fix a chipped tooth (ended up with a much better and complete outcome than just that) and am feeling so good about my experience I need to write a review. First off, I am not a difficult person…ever…Im usually the type to just nod and smile and cry on the inside. Today for whatever reason, I was a bit difficult and he had to spend much more time with me than either of us anticipated. I am so SO glad he did though. Dr. Stanton was very patient, kind, detail-oriented and had such a pleasant demeanor. I realize now that I sort of prefer an ‘unnatural’ look to my front teeth, it took some working out between us to determine what shape I actually wanted (my fault entirely) but he kept working with me until I was happy. I have been to other dentists who think they know better than you, are dismissive or rush through the work etc. Dr. Young was none of those things and made what could have been a poor experience for me into an excellent one. I keep looking at my teeth and they look great. The office is also very fair with pricing, which I was super stressed about because I dont have dental insurance or much room for ‘incidentals’ in my budget. Go here. Dr. Young is an amazing dentist! I’ve been going to him for 6 or 7 years now, but had to get a root canal (my first one) a few months ago. I was really nervous about the entire procedure, and worried about how fake both the temp and permanent crown would look. He was so reassuring and answering all of my annoying questions and had the calmest demeanor the entire time, that it really put me at ease. The result was amazing and the crown blends right in. I can’t recommend him enough!

Went back to Dr. Young after a few years of serious teeth-grinding, and when I do something I give it my all, hence, they were damaged! Was prepared for the worst, ie; alot of pricey work…potentially veneers, yet, sadly, before the damage, I liked my natural teeth and smile.Didn’t want to be ” that chick with the fake teeth”…. Well, being the artist he is, Dr. Young suggested cosmetic bonding, and in a few hours, with no pain, at a reasonable cost, I looked in the mirror and he had restored my old teeth. I was shocked, and thrilled. I didn’t have to bring a picture because, as he said, teeth have anatomy, and he just followed the damage pattern and it led to where the teeth used to be. Amazing! I am smiling now.

I give Doctor Young my highest recommendation. I spent weeks researching NYC dentists and calling offices around the city back in 2011 when I was in the market for a new dentist, and Dr. Young far surpasses everyone else I looked into in every regard, from knowledge, to skill (knowledge and skill don’t always go hand-in-hand), to a holistic approach, to amazing bed-side manner, personalized attention and follow-up. Dr. Young is a rare treasure of a doctor, and I feel blessed to be in his care. His personalized care and attention to you as a person are tantamount to his incredible skill, knowledge and talent as a dentist. His work is beautiful both inside and out: his attention to cosmetic detail (he takes before and after shots to document the beauty of his dental artistry for proof) is second only to his attention to your oral health: he is a holistic doctor, and steers far away from any products with chemicals or harmful additives (this is HUGE for me). What has really set him over the edge is his personal attention to the person: he sends hand written thank you notes and holiday cards at every opportunity. He honestly cares about his patients and about human relationships – which is priceless. When I sent a friend to him a few months ago, he not only sent me a hand written thank you note, but also sent a gift card (even better: she called with an emergency on a Friday night, he personally called her back [she wasn’t a patient of his yet!], counseled her, and got her in the very next day – a saturday!}. I have never heard of any other such personalized, exceptional care in this day and age. He is as generous as he is talented at dentistry – which are both pretty high bars, as he is extremely talented as a dentist, and extremely caring and generous. More, we had incredible conversations on the role of diet in oral health, and the role of oral health in overall health. He turned me onto Oil of Oregano as a treatment for sinus infections as just one example of his vast knowledge of the intertwining of oral and overall health. I am compelled to write today, and I came into his office yesterday with a big issue, and he got me in today and took care of the entire issue immediately this afternoon, and now – mere hours later – I have a new, perfect tooth!!! You can’t do better than Dr. Young.

I finally figured out a way to get around the limits of the 5 star Yelp system and the answer was right in front of me all along. Review it again. This is not a revision to my original Yelp on Dr. Stanton Young this is in addition. I’m tossing 5 more stars into the pot, because Dr. Young has arrived. Ladies and Gentlemen not only is he still the kindest, most able dentist I’ve ever had, but did you know he was also a kick ass amateur architect? Dr. Young has designed an office so bright, clean and contemporary it feels like you are sitting in the healthiest mouth in the world. The new environment he has created for his practice is a perfect reflection of why I will forever refer him to anyone who will listen. He has the latest in technical dental equipment, jazz music echoing delicately through every crevice, bright happy modern art on the walls, family photo’s in every room plus floors, walls and furniture glistening as if it was perfectly cleaned enamel. The place is so open and fresh I wanted to hang out and see what kind of cool people it would attract. This is my dentist and he knows that a healthy smile is created by regular checkups, flossing, brushing and creating an environment that removes stress and lets the patient inhale, a deep breath. Bravo Dr. Young – You are a perfect 10!

I have moved around alot.  So, I’ve been to many different dentists.  Dr. Young is by far the best dentist I’ve been to.  He takes the time to explain the state of your teeth / tooth and then let’s you know what he is going to do to fix them / it.  He also takes a more holistic approach to medicine which I appreciate.  His new office is magnificent and immaculately clean.  And unlike most dentists, Dr. Young rarely keeps you waiting.

Yes, he’s a bit expensive, yes he’ll get you to blow $400 on a teeth whitening, and yes, he’s most definitely the best dentist I’ve ever had. My Dr. Young Moment: I’m going to be part of a bridal party next week and finally decided to blow the Benjamins on professional teeth whitening. Dr. Young made sure to take his time explaining and demonstrating how to use the equipment needed to do so. He even called me on his cell phone over the weekend to be sure everything was going OK. For a second there, I thought I was back in the Midwest again!

I visited Dr. Young first a week ago. I would not have gone to visit at all had I not had an infected tooth – probably the result of visiting a not-so-caring dentist in the past, who I felt was quite negligent (and possibly criminal). Anyway, so I ended up needing an extraction today, which I could easily see how that could be a hugely traumatic experience for someone. Dr. Young made an attempt to be extra gentle and never rushed things. I definitely felt like I could trust him to do the job right. Anyway, I’m home now and have minimal pain, and I’m glad to be rid of that darned infected tooth. Last week, I got a cleaning by Dr. Young. He was very thorough and when I got home I could see a huge difference. I’m definitely going back for more cleanings and will keep visiting this office. His office space is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The staff is personable (Ken, in particular, is the person I dealt with) and helpful. I definitely think that there should be an award for best dentist in New York City, and it should go to Dr. Young. I should know, I’ve been to a ton of dentists in New York City before deciding never to go one ever again… until now. His rate is very reasonable for the quality of service. He’s out of network, but his office handles billing the insurance company on patients’ behalf so everything is fairly easy. I give this office a high recommend.
