I have been with Dr. Cockrell since this office opened, and before that when he was at another office.  I would never go anywhere else.  Dr. Cockrell and his team display a very caring attitude about every patient (other family members go there as well).  They know I have left work and need to get back after the appointment, so they always get me in on time or even a couple of minutes early.  I especially like that the hygienist sets up my next appointment before I leave the examination room and gives me a card in case I forget to put it in my calendar.  All I have to do is get up and walk out when I’m done.

Our family of 6 has been treated by Dr Cockrell for over nine years. We have moved a lot and been under the care of at least a dozen dentists in previous years. Dr Cockrell is BY FAR the best dentist we’ve ever had! He is very knowledgeable, ethical and has excellent assistants and Hygienists. And even though we have moved (again) having this level of dentistry is worth he travel!

A little background information about my dental experience. Prior to coming here, I hadn’t been to the dentist in several years due to a horrible past experience with a different dentist. Needless to say I was super scared to get back in the Dental chair. I heard great thing about Dr. Cockrell from friends who are patients of his so, I decided to make an appointment. I am so glad I did! The office staff made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. Dr. Cockrell was very patient and gentle and explained everything to me. Fast forward to today, he has been my dentist for the last ten years and each time I go in it’s like I’m family with the whole staff. They are all so incredible and always make me feel special. I’m so glad I trusted the referral of my friends and gave them a chance. Dr. Cockrell thank you for always taking such great care of my entire family. You’re the best!!

I just had my semi-annual cleaning and exam appointment recently at this office. They got me right in at my appointment time as usual, which is important to me because I’m taking time off from work. The entire team from Dr. Cockrell, the office manager Melanie and all the assistants and hygienists have always treated me like gold. I have been coming here since they opened and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Every time I hear a friend or someone at work talking about needing a dentist or wanting to change dentists, I always tell them about Norterra Dental and Dr. Cockrell. I’m lucky that I don’t usually need much dental work. However, my wife has had several crowns done at this office, all without any problems or pain.

I am, like many people, uncomfortable in a dentist’s chair…not much scares me (even when it should) but the dental visit is pretty traumatic I’d already been to see Dr. Cockrell on two other occasions so I was well under way to forming a great opinion of him and his ENTIRE staff; that impression was solidified in concrete after today’s visit. Never, ever, ever Google any upcoming procedures you’re planning, be they medical, dental, psychiatric, etc. and I am SO glad I did not. I had no idea what “prep the teeth” meant or I would’ve bailed. Skipping the worst of the details, let me just say there’s at least one needle, lots of drilling and it’s a pretty lengthy process. Picture me this: my mouth’s partially propped open, and NUMB, but I’m responsible for keeping it off his fingers, the nitrous is trying to do its job but my pulse is picking up speed the second I climb in the chair, and then that damn drill starts up I haven’t been to the dentist in quite some time so I’d forgotten just how nerve-racking that drill can be. Dr. Cockrell and his assistant, Yolie, were freaking phenomenal, working together to keep things chill and casual so I didn’t climb out of my skin. I have never been as impressed with any type of medical staff as I was with these two today. The whole office rocks but today will give me a warm fuzzy for a long time!!! I have been a patient at Norterra Dental Group for 4 years. My daughter has been a patient of their orthodontist for 2. I have always been welcomed with smiles, professionalism, and care. The front office staff is especially welcoming and knowledgeable. I needed help figuring out my dental plan benefits, and Liana Salazar, their benefits coordinator, explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. Sometimes insurance benefits and limitations are so detailed and confusing! She was very patient and thorough. In the past, when I have needed a crown or veneer, it took several weeks. I would get temporary crowns that fell out often, and would need to make several trips to the dentist. At Norterra Dental I got my crown the same day! I walked out of the office and it was all done; no multiple trips or hassle. If I ever need a crown or veneer in the future, I won’t get it anywhere else. My daughter had a great experience with her braces. It seems like such a long and grueling process. Yet the dental staff is so warm, humorous, and friendly that my daughter never dreaded going. Not only that, but my daughter got her braces off almost a year early! I highly recommend Norterra Dental group for both your dental and orthodontic needs. You’ll never want to go anywhere else again.

You would have never guessed by looking at me but I had such an intense phobia of dentist that I had not visited a dental office in nearly 15 YEARS. I knew I had a huge host of dental issues but they became so overwhelming I simply pretended it wasn’t happening, even suffering thru many days of debilitating pain. Eventually my husband forced me to keep my first appointment with Norterra Dental ( I canceled 3 consecutive times prior). My fears were a reality… I was in really bad shape. That being said Dr. Cockrell, Dr. Lam, Mark, Erica, Alex and the rest of the staff never made me feel ashamed and they have always treated me with gentle kindness, outstanding work and consummate professionalism, even when at times I needed someone to hold my hand during a procedure. They have been there for me thru multiple extractions, extensive cavities, sinus lifts, root canals, crowns and multiple implants. Essentially a full dental restoration. Its been a long road but they have done extraordinary work and supported me the whole way… I am finally able to smile with confidence.

I have been going to Norterra Dental Group for over a year now.  Appointments are fast, on time and everybody is always nice.  I have been seen and treated by both Dr. Cockrell and Dr. Ewell.  Both Doctors are very courteous, funny, professional, and efficient. The staff of assistants and technologist are also great and make the process of going to the dentist quite enjoyable.

The friendly, professional staff at Norterra make you feel like one of the family. They go the extra mile to make your experience pleasant. The payment arranger,dentists, dental assistants and dental hygienists each take the time to explain what the treatments are and work with you to get the work complete. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. I’ve been very impressed with the dental work and service I’ve received from Norterra over the last 3 years, and I would recommend them to anyone. They are all great people.

I first went to Norterra Dental with an emergency.  I had been to another Dentist in the area and was totally frustrated with his demeanor.  I didn’t have high hopes for Norterra but I went in anyway.  Once there, I found that they far exceeded any expectations that I had.  Dr. Cockrell has an excellent way with patients.  I don’t like going to the dentist and he put me at ease immediately.  He put up with my over the top case of nerves, went slowly and took the time to make sure that I was comfortable.  I have been going to Norterra Dental for over a year now and am very happy with the staff there and the treatment that I have received.
