I lost a filling exposing the nerve. Needless to say I was in a fair amount of pain. I was very disappointed with my previous Dentist, so I did an online search for Dental offices in my area. After finding 5 that I liked, I called for the opinion of my PCP, who suggested NHFD. I called them for an appointment explaining the situation and they fit me into the schedule for the next day. I was able to fill out the obligatory forms online, saving me from having to show up early for my appointment. I couldn’t have been more surprised by the professionalism and care of the staff, especially after my negative experience with my previous Dentist. From the Receptionist to Doctor Mauro, and everyone inbetween, it was such a positive experience, that I will recommend NHFD to my family and friends, and to all of you. I would like to thank their whole staff for the care they provided.

I was really nervous going to the dentist because it had been a while & I know my teeth suck. But the entire experience was beyond good- which are words I thought to be impossible when describing an experience at a dentist. From women working the desk, the tech who did my cleaning (I can’t remember her name, but she was 10/10 amazing), and Dr. Mauro himself were all patient, kind, thorough, and calming. I left feel 100% less anxious about my mouth, and actually looking forward to going back for the rest of my oral care. Thank you to the whole staff!!!

Dr. Mauro and his staff are amazing! I travel over 30 minutes to come to this dental office because they are the best! Starting with the front office staff who are always professional. Melissa in particular is very friendly and goes above and beyond to greet clients and makes sure they get what they need prior to being seen! The dental assistants are always courteous in making the client’s needs are met! Dr Mauro is the icing on the cake! He makes sure his clients are well taken care of and comfortable. He provides excellent service.

Wow! Just went to my first appointment at North Hills Family Dental and I am really impressed. As a person who is nervous about going to the dentist (especially during a pandemic) I felt so safe and at ease during my appointment. They are taking so many extra precautions including multiple patient screeners leading up to the day of the appointment and air purifiers in the exam rooms. The staff is also extremely friendly and kind. Special thanks to my awesome Hygienist Hannah and Dr. Anna. They were both awesome. Highly recommend this place!

I have had dental anxiety almost my entire life. After moving and not going to the dentist for several years I finally made an appointment for a cleaning and x rays. I ended up needing quite a few cavities filled. I had so much anxiety about this but Dr. Mauro and his staff were so accommodating. If you have anxiety about the dentist, give North Hills Family Dentist a try. Dr. Mauro was patient and explained everything he was doing. He also suggested I bring music to listen to while my cavities were being filled. These things might seem simple and small but they go a long way to easing my anxiety. I can say after a couple of visits, my anxiety is so much less. And I won’t skip anymore appointments!

Woke up in the middle of the night with a throbbing pain in my mouth. I thought for sure it was a cavity. I searched for dentists in the North Hills, and these wonderful people had the best reviews… I can see why! I wrote an email requesting an appointment ASAP, and someone kindly called me after they opened and scheduled me in as an emergent patient. The office is very well kept and clean. Everyone who I encountered was very nice and caring. I scheduled a new patient exam and cleaning that day because I will definitely return!

We just started coming to North Hills Family Dental. You can tell they want to give you a positive experience beyond your dental treatment/checkup. All of the staff are super friendly and the dentists really care about you as a patient and love what they do. They try to stay on top of technology and keep their office nice and up to date. I’ve also heard great things about how they work with small children who are apprehensive about the dentist. Additionally, they have an awesome teeth whitening program where you can get a lifetime of teeth whitening for $99. This gets you custom trays and whitening gel every six months at your regular cleanings. We were provided this whitening service for free as a perk of being referred to the practice by our neighbor.

I absolutely love the staff, hygienists, and dentists at NHFD. They are so very polite, professional, and compassionate. I never feel uncomfortable or pressured in their office. I get the facts and the care that I believe is above and beyond what one could expect. When you come here there is nothing to “hate” about going to the dentist. They Are so good at what they do you want to come back. I had my first visit this morning. This office went above and beyond my expectations as a patient. I have not been to the dentist in about 2 years and was very apprehensive before my visit. As soon as I entered the office, the calm and friendly atmosphere and a friendly greeting from Bonnie at the front desk, I was immediately put at ease. Then I met Tonya, who’s vibrant personality and exceptional dental hygienist skills were top notch! She has a deft hand and was gentle and thorough with the Xrays and cleaning of my teeth. Next, Dr. Mauro met with me and examined my teeth. He is the BEST of the best when it comes to dentists (believe me, I have been to a few dentists in my time!) He is friendly and has one of the best chair-side manners. He is a true professional and you can sense that he is working in the profession he has a passion for. He is extremely knowledgeable and proficient in dentistry. My xrays were posted and Dr. Mauro described in detail the plan of care for my problem areas. I made my next appointment and was given the “goody bag” to pamper my teeth at home 🙂 I am so thrilled to have found such a fantastic place to have my teeth cared for. I wanted to say that I am very self conscious about my teeth. I really don’t like showing them or having people see them. When I had initially called for my appointment, I explained that I have never been to the dentist before, I the response I received made me feel like I was being judged, just adding to my anxiety for a dentist visit. I am beyond glad that I followed through at this office. I had a general cleaning done, and the dentist I had couldn’t have been more comforting; she completely took the stress and uneasiness I had away. Hannah was EXTREMELY professional and never did I feel like I was being judged for my teeth. She kept great conversation and made the time that passed comforting. I cannot express how grateful I am for this visit. The office is following guidelines for covid, and take temperature checks upon arrival. I would definitely recommend this office! I usually don’t take the time to fill out reviews as such. However, I felt that North Hills Family Dental was certainly more than worthy of setting aside a few minutes. We just switched to NHFD. My first visit was extremely pleasant. Everyone was very nice and professional. My second visit, today, where I had to get some work done, and in which I was not looking forward to, was even more so. I have been going to this office since October of 2013. They are absolutely wonderful! I always feel very welcomed. They really seam to love what they do because they are very thorough and take their time with you. I never felt any sort of rush being there. Alisha the dental hygienist was very nice and made me feel comfortable and welcome. They are also very accommodating. I had to cancel an appointment and asked Bonnie (office manager) if they could call me if anything opened up on a particular day that I wanted and sure enough later that week they called me back! Love this place! Just wanted to give an update as I had to go back to get the crack taken care of and I can say it was a very pleasant experience. They TRULY care about their patients and want to make sure you are comfortable in every way. I had my crack taken care of in about an hour and Dr Mauro was incredible. He made sure I know exactly what to expect and also managed to conservatively repair my crack which was a wonderful surprise. I left VERY happy with the service from Dr Mauro and the office staff and look forward to visiting them in the future for my regular cleanings!
