Dr. Richart replaced an old filling in a molar that was  pretty substantial. I was feeling pain and let him know up front I was open to a crown if needed.  He was very deliberate in his work due to the depth of the filling. He found some additional decay and addressed it with acute attention to detail. I think his work saved me from a full crown.  Most impressive during the whole process, Dr. Richart showed  great respect for his very capable assistant, Allie. I have  never seen a dentist , while working carefully with little room for error due to my decay to remain so courteous and professional to both the patient and his employees. When he asked for something, he always said please to his colleagues and always said thank you.  Simple things but just shows he is not only technically great, he is a class act.

Northbridge Dental is incredible! It is truly a family environment. After going for a second time, everyone remembered my name and different tidbits of information about me! It made me feel welcomed and acknowledged. The hygienist was incredible, and worked faster (and more careful) than any other! Dr. Richart is incredible as well, and eased my concerns. Finally, the dental practice is so accessible! As a teacher, it is hard to call and schedule appointments during business hours, but their text services were life savers! Thanks for being so incredible! I highly recommend!

Dr. Richart and his crew are fantastic and I highly recommend them! Super friendly and very accommodating to your needs. Stephanie at the front desk is alway’s such a delite and Dr. Richart will definitely have you laughing and comfortable at the same time…

Great dentist and team of hygienists. Friendly, professional, and competent. What else do you need? Oh, to top it off, Stephanie, who sits at the front office, is the most bubbly and affable person you’ll ever meet. She might be a robot. Didn’t think it could be possible for anyone working at a dentist’s office to be so happy.

I am a “ jumpy person” when it comes to dentist. I have so much confidence in this group: Northbridge my visit today they listened to me, I was having my my new “front teeth”. I did not need medication, but dentist & his assistant consistently checked to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain. I cannot recommend this group more, wish I had found them 20 years ago

I love Dr. Richart as my dentist. If I go to someone else it will be as if I’m cheating on him. Lol! He makes me feel right at home. He’s like the friend you see a couple of times a year and you can can pick up where you left off at. He talks to me the whole time he’s working on my mouth. Dr. Richart will engage you in conversation while he’s working on your mouth. He’s a fun dentist who is funny. That’s what I love about him and his office. His office manager is my sweetheart. I love her and she’s a complete doll. She’s my other friend too. He’s good, fast and quick to the point.

Northbridge Dental changed my life! And no, that is not an exaggeration. In my late 20s I slowly developed a severe aversion to going to the dentist. I became one of those adults I’d always believed to be a cliche stereotype – those who avoided getting proper dental cleanings and checkups due to an intense fear of pain. I attribute this to past practitioners who ignored me when I was legitimately in pain during an exam or procedure, who mocked and derided me and refused to take my concerns seriously. The team at Northbridge immediately set me at ease. No one ever behaved dismissively toward me, and instead engaged me, explained what they were doing, and gave me a new outlook on what makes an excellent dental practice. I’ve never felt the slightest discomfort during my cleanings and exams at Northbridge. Dr. Richart is easygoing yet practical, with a gentle touch and great “bedside manner” – he’s also funny as hell. Stephanie at the front desk is my homegirl and it’s impossible to be in a bad mood around her. And the most recent hygienist to treat me, Ashley, was sensitive yet thorough and a pleasure to converse with. The Northbridge team manages to put forth a relaxed, casual air while at the same time being completely professional. This is a long review, yes, and I’ve never reviewed anything in my life. But I cannot emphasize enough how great Northbridge Dental is and how they have reversed my outlook. I referred my husband, who now shares my enthusiasm for this practice, and highly recommend Dr. Richart and his staff to anyone looking for a top-notch dental experience. Bonus points: no hard sell of any product or procedure; easy and hands-free billing and insurance filing.

I had bad experiences with previous dentists, James was by far the best dentist i have ever been a patient of. The staff is excellent, especially Stephanie, who makes the visit a wonderful experience every time, and having text reminders makes it easy to remember appointments! 5 stars to James and his staff! Go with confidence!

I have always had problems with my teeth so finding a dentist was one of the first things I did when I moved to Charleston. Dr. Richart and his staff are awesome! They are always accommodating and helpful. They are responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I trust that Dr. Richart will always give me treatment options and is working to save my teeth. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a dentist, give this practice a try!

Stephanie is great at the front desk with her warm welcome every time I’m there! She somehow remembers every guest that walks through the door and there’s something to be said about that…what an awesome talent & great customer service! Alicia is a great dental hygienist! She takes her time with me and explains everything that’s she’s doing in detail! Dr. Richart is great! Everyone is very personable, nice, and has a sense of humor! Love this place and actually look forward to going to the dentist!

I am a brand new patient. I have never met Dr Richart nor his friendly and highly competent staff. My previous dentist said I needed a crown. I recently moved to this area and went to Dr Richart for the first time. They gave me a price for the crown that was fair in advance. He set aside plenty of time to do the complete crown and he and his assistant prepped me for the procedure. Prior to beginning, he examined my old X-rays and visually examined my teeth. He came to the determination that at this time it would be more prudent to not perform the crown and monitor the tooth. My symptoms, along with his exam of my teeth and the X-rays were not convincing him I needed the crown. There is no replacement for integrity and ethical professionalism. Dr Richart and his friendly staff have earned my business. In an age where medical professionals don’t get paid enough and sometimes have to push patients and procedures through to increase revenue, Dr Richart made a decision based on his medical expertise and morals rather than money. You can trust this Dentist. I do.

Absolutely Best Dentist Office in Charleston. I have been visiting Dr. Richart for 15 years and couldn’t ask for a better dentist. Every employee that works in that office is always extremely pleasant. Stephanie is amazing, and always makes you feel right at home!

I love the team here at Northbridge Dental. I recently transferred because it was much closer to my house than my previous dental clinic. I like their Text-based scheduling/reminders and they have the friendliest front office staff. Alicia (my dental hygienist) is a sharp cookie and great conversationalist. She can do mundane chit chat and also more brainy convo. (But she’s also fine if you tell her you aren’t feeling chatty.) Dr. Richart is a riot! Expect some “dad jokes” and general joviality. Even late in the day. They do take late day (5:30) appointments on Tuesdays which helps me not miss work – also a plus. The down side: sometimes you get bad news. I’m middle aged and it’s teeth, so…. :-/

I’ve been coming to this office for multiple years for my scheduled dental care. Everyone here is super friendly and welcoming. I’ve had multiple people clean my teeth here and they are always so thorough and informative regarding dental health. I would recommend this dental service to anyone, but especially those who get anxious about the dentist.

I live miles from Charleston and I was visiting friends when suddenly a crown came off.  Being that I was so far from home I randomly picked a dentist and just hoped for the best.  I was amazed how nice and helpful they were and Stephanie went above and beyond the call of duty.  We all are afraid of the dentist but Dr Richart understands that and did such a great job making me feel comfortable.  I know you probably won’t believe me but it didn’t hurt.  People like this makes me want to move to Charleston on a permanent basis

Dr. Richard and all the staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable going to dentist. We have never had a problem with them filing insurance claims. They are responsive to emergency needs, also. I highly recommend Northbridge Dental Clinic.

Dr. Richart, Stephanie, and all of the crew at Northbridge Dental are the best in Charleston! If I could give them 6 stars I would. They are extremely professional, friendly, and just fantastic people. I actually enjoy my visits to the dentist if you can believe that! I had neglected my teeth for 7 years prior to my first visit and was scared, embarassed, and didn’t know what to do. After a few deep cleanings and a couple fillings, I had peace of mind knowing my teeth were in good health (which was life changing). Their prices are very fair, and they have even worked with me on payments. I can’t thank them enough and highly recommend Dr. Richart to anyone looking for an awesome dentist. I had neglected routine dental maintenance for quite some time. So I knew I was in for some good times ahead. From the moment I walked in I have never felt more welcome and instantly comfortable in a business, or anywhere else for that matter with the exception of my own home. They knew exactly who I was before I even closed the front door to the office!!!! Courtney, you are simply just awesome!!!!! It’s rare to meet quick witted kindred spirits these days and I am so very happy to say I am once again on routine maint plan! A+++

Absolute best dentist I have ever been too! I transferred from my long time dentist due to decreasing levels of service. They only seemed to care about getting as much money as they could. Northbridge dental has extraordinary staff who are very helpful with any and all questions. Highly recommended.
